Great time my friend! I've only fly fished the GLS (biggest landlocked was 29") but haven't done anything on the grand lake itself. We had about 4" of ice by the big Mt. Katahdin. Looking forward to the first of the new year to be on the safe side... if you ever head north and not east Id love to drill some holes with ya. Keep tight lines always and keep cranking out some fun for us to watch.
hey joe where do you use the bathroom? bucket toilet? piss jugs? going to start sleeping over on lakes and really don't want to wade through snow to do my morning constitutional. thanks
I use the woods a lot for #2 and just a jug or snow for #1. If in a heavy residential area I use a bucket and liner for both and let freeze and dispose of properly.
These guys really opened my eyes to better team work than I was used to. Need it when fishing deep like that or it would take forever to reset after a fish or flag. Downeastahs and lobsterman know a lot about setting and rope or line management. Wicked smart.
This is pretty awesome! I helped rebuild the dam you crossed just before getting on the lake. The decking on the ramps I put down myself about 5-6 years ago. Also rebuilt the fish way. Tight lines and best of luck!
Hi Joe I'm good friends with Brandon and Steve I would like to come up and fished with you guys but had to work. Keep makin the videos cause I love watching them!
Good lord you must live very very close to where I grew up. Within fifteen minutes of liberty village. Recognized the roads immediately. Maybe that's where you started filming. Can't quite figure out your route, I'd have been going in the opposite direction to get where you were going but damn, I'm homesick. The West is great, but it ain't home. Enjoying the content Joe.
@@JoeHollandFishing Yeah it's a nice drive. I meant driving away from rt 3 in liberty not towards it, no biggie. My family always avoided the coast and backtracked to waterville to catch 95 then get back on 9 when we went downeast, I never understood what the big complaint about route 1 was. I didn't get to see route 1 east of Belfast until I had my license and I love it. Granted they were used to dealing with it before Bucksport and other places got modernized. Got to see the full moon rising through the uprights of the old narrows bridge one of its last months open, one of my top ten driving trophies.
Absolutely, I remember how much the old bridge was sagging at the end, they couldn’t tighten it up anymore. You’re right though, I don’t know why I went by Liberty tool, was so pumped about the fishing I guess I just followed my gps , ha.
Dude I live in Calais. I won A bass tournament we had 2 years ago on West Grand. Junior Bay on the other end of the lake is where the bigger smallmouth are. They like the grass beds where the yellow perch are. I tried fishing deep for 3 days and all I got where schools of 1-2lbers. Funny because on nearby Meddybemps the big smallmouth live in 34-43 ft. Love them deep son!
Amherst general! That’s 1/4 mile from my house haha. Stop at the alpaca store and get some socks. They’re stupid warm and don’t soak with sweat like wool.
Stay away from the four stroke snowmobiles they don’t start in the in low tempetures . Also four strokes don’t have pull cord only electric start so if your battery dies no start
There are some big ones there. 37 inch, close to 20 pounder caught there last week. Over 30 inch fish caught there every year. Maybe they are camera shy. Lol.
Oh man!!!!!!! This is going to be an epic trip!!!!!!! Awesome job joe
Thank you, Greatly appreciated.
Good teamwork and looked like a great trip for you guys! Some great fish!

I don't hear an accent! Sounds normal to me. Lol

Funny you mentioned lake simcoe, i live a few minutes away from it. 🇨🇦
Awesome you must feel lucky,
It’s not behind the times it’s clean living
God bless love from bc Canada
For sure, hope it didn’t come off as an insult, it was the highest form of compliment.
@@JoeHollandFishing awesome
I chose count folk over city years ago
Good move.
You burned it up RT 9 the whole way? I figured 95 to Lincoln, then to Springfield would have been the quickest way.
Yeah I’m midcoast to start and we had bad road conditions so I hugged the coast a little harder. Roads cleared up when I got close to the coast.
Stay away from the four stroke snowmobiles they don’t start in the in low tempetures . Also four strokes don’t have pull cord only electric start so if your battery dies no start
How cold ?
Would you ever come. To Wisconsin. To ice. Fish
Yes
Nice when ice. Fishing season hits here. And if your. Able. To let me know
holy crap is Brandon looking like his old man now lol.
Comparison in episode three.

Who edits these replies? I noticed mine was reduced significantly, while another remained long.
I’ve never heard of edited replies. On the comments?
Where are the big lake trout? 10 - 15 pounds. These are babies, like Moosehead lake trout, and need to grow bigger. Maybe tomorrow you'll do better.
For sure, There are some in there. Good one coming. Maine needs to manage the amount of lakers for bigger ones.
