Hi @terrybono5995 You most likely have "Stolen Device Protection" turned on that was recently added in an iOS update. This is another layer of security that doesn't allow to change certain info related to your Apple ID if you're not at a Significant location. It's a good thing, but can be a pain. This feature can be turned off and on again. Hi @stonergee420. Apple does not offer a way to turn off 2-Factor Authentication, however if you lost your iPhone, you can go to iCloud.com/find Here you should be able to login with just your Apple Account and password and there is an option to look at your devices without getting a code to your trusted device. This recovery process is only when someone forgets their Apple ID password or can this also be used when someone forgets their iPhone passcode to unlock Face ID? I’m at the 3 hour countdown and can’t remember my new passcode I created to unlock my iPhone. If this recovery process works for device passcodes at what point can I start the recovery process? When I’m completely locked out? Thank you.
Hi @daniell.6805, This would be only for the Apple ID Account. If you forgot the passcode to unlock the actual device, then the only way around that is to wipe the phone and start from scratch. You could then restore from an iCloud backup, but I'm pretty sure that would have the same passcode on it. If you're syncing everything to iCloud however, you really wouldn't lose content as all of your Photos/videos, text messages, contacts, calendars and such should be in the cloud.
