is 10.65 inches enough for most people? is there being only one option due to manufacturing difficulty ? do they want to maintain a high ppi for the spec sheet ? or are they a small company so they're just starting out by streamlining their product line? probably the last one.
I don't understand because i have receive my unite, the 10 inch, and i have put the last update yesterday, the 3.1.2 version, and i don't have the Google play, the différent email login, just Gmail and Outlook... what going on ?, have you have an explanation for my case ?
One big concern, from other reviewers is - the device gets really hot, some reviewers call this a big issue over time. Other issue not relative to the States but customs and duties to Europe can be 120 euros, not including international shipping.
According to their website, they will be having warehouses in Germany by the end of the year, so custom duties won't be an issue. I'm just waiting in the meantime for this, and hopefully see how the brand and device grow. Otherwise it will be a ReMarkable or Boox for me
Oh that's very interesting. We have not heard reports of that but we will contact the manufacturer to see if that is a valid concern. Thanks for bringing it to our attention
@@goodereaderI think alot of people are going to invest in a note taker these coming months - Black Friday, Christmas or January sales. Remarkable, Scribe, Viwood, Boox - the academy nominees. The deal breaker will be shipping and custom duties. Not relative to reviewing, but to buying, si Snr. You should do a combined cast on these top four with all their newer updates. Or your own top nominees. Maybe regionalize it, relative to availability in each region. I'm not going to pay 120 euros plus international shipping from Asia, ontop of the device price. Sadly this is where Amazon wins out. None of the above I've mentioned, listed Black Friday deals yet. First in, could actually win. Viwood had mentioned a European warehouse, nothing official though. They need to publize this, as once a customer has bought, they'll remain with their buy for some time. And it's getting close to Black Friday. You have a great channel, do question the overheating of Viwood, cause it sounds a great device. I was ready to Kickstart with it, until I found out the entry taxes (these weeks will see me buy, sadly Viwood might not be on the same speed line). Another idea for a cast is accessories. Which portable Bluetooth keyboard is best - locational if you can, Asia and America have it all. Europe - pobrecitos. What device have voice recording ability, speech to text, any device have photo to text (one takes a photo of a page of writing and it converts to text). Alot of old schoolers still have pages upon pages, they would luv to turn to text, to begin blogs or books ( there's a whole catchment area here). 'Enough said, says you or we' ll be here all day. All the best, keep up the good work - regards Phoeagdor.
This is one of the prime reasons I am seriously considering an AiPaper instead of a Boox Go 10.3. What I am seeing as far as the regular system updates and the Viwoods dev team being willing to directly listen to people via the Community page makes me think this company is going to give Boox a run for it's money. Ratta could have done it, but flubbed it the last few months with not releasing their A5X model, and new Viwoods is filling that vacuum.
You have to be very clear to the community, you returned the "Boox GO 10.3" They have five 10.3 inch devices, and nearly every single device from Onyx including their monitors have glow lights. Out of the entire lineup of onyx products, 80 plus devices have had glow lights, it is only recently right now that they have a unit that does not have one But their company profile for the past decade has had nothing but glowlights
If u want front light, u better the chose sunken screen. Fontlight on flat screen just make the e ink panel sinking under more layers make it look glass-like and glary. No front light reduce the transparent layers above eink panel make the panel more near to the surface and the image more crisp and less glary. Anyway, pp want eink caus they want paperlike experience and normal paper dont glow in the dark, I suggest you read at somewhere bright.

They're reviewing a beta version of the software that isn't available to all devices yet

HELP... I'm updated to version 3.1.2 but I still don't have the Google Play Store
Is there a front light? I returned the boox 10.3 because it was very dark
No, only on the smaller model
