Thing is, even the QTEs in this game are pretty good, to the point where you don't really need to turn them off. It's still really cool they give you the option though.
My God I’ve played this game so many times and that ending it got me. I re-played this game recently for the sequel this time on PS five because my dad recently got the remastered version of the game, and when I made it to that ending, I knew what was gonna happen and yet I cried my butt off and the voice actor of peter. In my God you are probably my favorite version of Spider-Man.
To be fair, sometimes step daddies are better than actual daddies; they chose to love the kids unconditionally when they could have walked away - it wasn't forced on them and they learned to live with it.

Wait. The person for that self defense mission is Miles Goddamn Morales. I keep finding reasons to appreciate this game even without having owned a PS4
I loved the new spider-man I finished it 100% with the secret suit. I also didn't mind the QTE parts because they didn't appear to often, weren't hard, and were associated with decent buttons like webbing up the chopper with the L2 and R2 buttons. It was just a really fun game especially on the higher difficulty. Though I 100% agree that the web crawling is not that good.
@@panos21sonic 100% isn't actually that difficult to pull off in Spider-Man PS4, I've done it. I even found all the Secret Photo Ops to unlock the ESU Suit
You know, when Caddy talked about trying new things with his videos and his old format and a lot of his old catchphrases being left behind, I was rather worried - Not to say he shouldn't do what he creatively feels he should, but the jokes, the editing and all the little things that make me love Caddicarus over the while of watching him since I stumbled onto him with the 101 Dalmatians 'game'. Glad to see Caddy's gonna be Caddy still. Thanks for the smile today man. And all the others your videos have brought.
There's also the fact that it's just so fun to YEET objects at enemies in this game, takes an unfortunately long time to wind up the swing, but it's still fun.
Never have I been more excited and upset to see a Caddicarus episode. I love spiderman but haven't finished it yet...I guess I'll watch the video later.

I always look for good game review vids like these. So well edited with good comedic moments and factually correct, instead of beating around the bush and repeating the same point over and over. Thanks Caddicarus for making such videos
@@courage552 They even added the Raimi suit to the game alongside the MCU and Amazing suits. The only thing missing is the Black Suit, which I assume they're saving for a sequel
Aside from the glitches, Spider-Man on PS4 is my all time favorite game. It's one of the few games that I beat 100% and decided to play through it again. I'm normally not a trophy hunter, but I found the game to be so good that I wanted to get all of the trophies. But I think we can all agree that Jay Jonah Jameson is an absolute pillock.
I don't get his problem with the "poisoned acting". It really just sounds like he's believably in pain to me. I don't think it's nearly as overacted as Caddie seems to think.
I like how one of the easter eggs is a picture a kid drew for spidey for getting his balloons just like in spiderman 2 the game also at 15:40 love the avgn cameo i guess you could call it
Just want to say, ever since you've been more free with your videos and making most of them into just Caddicarus videos, I've loved them even more. It's great to see them having more personality like this!

I actually enjoyed the stealth parts as MJ and Miles a lot. They were a nice change of pace and I honestly don't see what everyone else dislikes about them. Oh well, we all have different tastes :)
I didn't like them for the reason that as soon as an enemy sees you, you instantly fail. I wanted to be able to be chased by the Rhino, or narrowly escape the demons sight as MJ.

After all, no one likes it when you're given no choice but to play one specific way, hence why it's best to encourage a specific gameplay style, rather than completely shut down any other strategy. I mean, look at the controversy of the mission timers in XCOM 2, as they completely disallowed the admittedly not fun strategy of a slow approach. Now, I enjoyed them because I got that feeling of adrenaline when I just barely got past a guard and into cover. That detection bar is near full but I was somehow able to get into cover just in time. On top of that, when I got the stun gun, the feeling of power I got was intoxicating. From that moment on, I made certain to shock every guard I saw, even if it wasn't advantageous to do so.
Just watching this review made me want to cry with joy. It has been such a long time since a game of this calibre was made for such a widely beloved franchise. The last Spider-Man games I played and truly enjoyed were the two on PS1, so to see this level of love and effort being put into a modern rendition of that is a dream come true.

I think the way swinging and combat feels so realistic is the vibrations. Every time you hit someone, get hit by someone, hit someone with someone, hit someone with something, smash someone with something, and swing. It uses the vibrations of the controller to make you feel like you just hit a dude straight in the jaw or you get hit straight in the jaw. which is so much fun and makes you feel like Batman!

There is a way to get into stealth once the combat has started, you just web away or go behind a building and the bad guys lose track of you (at least when you're outdoors)
17:40 Ironically, Spider Man's true ability is to be able to stick any part of his body to almost anything. He can walk/run up buildings but this crawling sequence really failed to capture his true nature.
