      Yeah, and the soil to bedrock is generally less than a foot. Get out a gold detector for the nuggets. There are no 10 ft pay zones of gravel. The old creeks have all long been mined out.

      I very much doubt it, these are canny, secretive people. What they say and what they do are two completely different things. You can tell by the fact that they only let family work the mines, that they are not trusting of other people, and I can't blame them. The promise of riches brings out the worst in people. If it wasn't for the cameras, Parker wouldn't have got anywhere near these claims.

      @@nickmaclachlan5178 if it weren’t for the show Parker would have taken that $100k in gold his grandpa gave him and gone to college. The show subsidized him for a few years and Hoffman crew probably for all but a couple years to get them where they are. Beets is the only one who would have succeeded at mining without discovery.

      Series is over two years old. They shot 4 seasons/years already. Syndication payouts to staff snd companies is probably why it didn't go 5 seasons.

    Parker knifed Fred in the back in current season of Gold Rush, he just seems to becoming a horrible person and boss. Tony Beets is glad to help a lot of people where Parker only looks out for himself.

      @@lesflynn4455 we have had pretty lazy "wet" seasons in north qld for some time now, honestly since 2011 it's been pretty dry we had yasi pass through in 2011 and make a mess and that was the last real active wet season but being we are coming up on the active solar cycle again so we might start getting some fun weather again hopefully.
