I definitely wish nothing but the best for Rick this year. Hope he hits his 2000 oz goal
They need to rerun all those tailings.
100 years from now there's going to be a gold rush on Ricks tailings piles. Might be an investment opportunity LOL
That's what they are mining old tailings
@@nelgreivnaj6116 yeah pretty much.. it keeps giving back..
Tony beets has already had his eye on them for 30 years let’s make it happening
@@MikeSnifferpippets 🤣🤣 i see what you did there
I think it dont need to wait 100 years, it will be profitable to do know
Great invention to trap gold.
Go back for all those tailings and run it through the wash plant during your spare time
More profitable to run new dirt than old.
1:20 nice Chevy commercial integration :)
That's awesome Congratulations 👍
Because the water splashes over the catches.rubber mat will keep the water from over splashes and loss of gold
I have often wondered how much gold they tossing away when it don't get stuck in the traps and this just shows really how a simple bit of weiding can make a massive effect. I wonder if it might be worth having another at the end before the rocks and the water go into the waste zones
There are mining companies whose expertise is re-running old tailings from back when the technology was far more primitive.
@@HepCatJack a few large mines in BC got multiple years more runtime just by refeeding tailings, it's quite surprising
Some of the guys in these series, gets deals with larger mines, to recive their waste so they can find the gold they missed.
@@HepCatJack An old time miner in my home town said that he found a Spanish mine in the mountains and wanted to check the tailings for gold. The conquistadors went through our area in the 1500s. No idea if he went back to it.
Vary impressive how far Rick and his team has come
Hey Rick, I have been watching you since you started working for Parker. My opinion you were the best foreman he has ever had. I remember an incident where the ground was ready to mine, but you found out that it wasn't producing the gold it was supposed to. So you took a pan and went around to other parts of the cut and you found large gold by panning. You ran that cut instead and got excellent gold. Parker doesn't know how to treat people and that is why you ended up with Brandon this year. I think going out on your own was the best move you have made mining and one more thing your dad is a very cool guy.
The nugget trap worked so how much went out the end and washed away,re-sluce it all.
I was going to say that too!
Yep
They probably will re-sluice it if they run out of pay dirt and still have time on the claim. Otherwise they'll just focus on the pay dirt until the time on the claim is up
But pay dirt contains more. they'd only get half on their tailings.
@@theonlysquirrelybird fantastic way to save time and have some stuffed away for dryer times.
Suggestion before throwing out the left over rock ,make a pad half a football field and metal detector finds the nuggets you have been missing out on . aussie style
That’s what I say since the show airs! All these nuggets just dropping off the slide and getting reburied…
I’d be running my tailings again, nice little gig for someone on a Sunday with nothing else to do. Edit~ Maybe not all tailings, but definitely the area in front of the sluice, where some of the nuggets may have settled.
thats not a bad idea
Yes I'd thought that but you have to factor fuel cost use to make it worth while
If I personally had access to the pile, apart from them I’d be looking(with a homemade thingamajig) wouldn’t be bad to find up to 8 ounces($14,000 usd) for an individual person. Its different for a company though.
Or hit it with the metal detector. 📡👽🇺🇸 RUN!!!
@@charlesincharge.5161 and magnet
Now they have to re-run all the tailings. xD
Seeing the pans pouring gold onto the scales is a chubby experience.
ha ha I like how in the animation they show dozens of giant gold nuggets falling out the end. lol
Freaking sweet. Keep on keeping on .
That is the Advantage in being able to see/understand things in 3D!
Rick and crew congratulations of the idea, implementing it, and to your success. Rick can you put your hat on straight.
Patent the nugget trap and for sure protect your investment by doing so!
Just go over the tailings pile with a metal detector at the end of each day. If the nuggets are large enough to make it past the screen, it should be large enough for a metal detector.
I understand the idea, but in a mine like this that isn’t logistically possible. They are mostly searching for fine gold, not nuggets, so they run too much dirt to metal detect.
If they are big nuggets get them with a metal detector after you spread your oversize tailings. Simple. I'll go over your tailings piles for 50 percent of whatever I find.
I wouldn't be that greedy 25% would do me
@@JohnSmith-yq3kg l
Haha
Great job best of luck. ✌🏻👊
Parker and Tony needs to see this trap Rick has made!! They're all set up for fine gold not nuggets
Different area different gold. No nuggets where they are
Also they use trommels.
Who doesn't love the Ness crew.💪
Time to re-sluce the tailings.
Carla found a nugget. He sounds like Todd Hoffman .
Way to go Rick and crew
Awesome Welder that man doubled you .
I wonder if humbleness will pay the bills if he cant pay up in gold lol
They are not giant nuggets compared to what we in Australia but great to see. All the best to you Rick and the crew 🤪👀
🤣🤪👍 All of those big nugget that was put in the tailing as rocks. NO ONE WITH METAL DECTOR CHECKS THEM OUT 😳
will they rerun the discharge from the plant, to get the nuggets they missed the first go round ?
everyone needs a nugget trap
Thats why he said A life changing amount of gold not change all of our lives amount
Rick didn't get him that helmet. They are all over this show. On shelfs, on heads
,in boxes. Miller must sponsor the show because 98% of welding is done with a brand new miller hood.
I think it's funny that these guys act surprised when they put the gold on the scale. I guarantee most of these crew members can guess the weight of the gold by eye to the gram. The scale is added for the drama.
Set up light 20ft tailing conveyer put Metal detector over belt alarm and stop belt it works and find U big nuggets in tailing
So are they going to re-sluice the tailings?
Well done Rick so glad you not with Parka👍👏
He isn’t going to keep people on his side very long with the constant “my gold” comments…
why isnt pay dirt dropped into a quarry bell or crusher before being. , say conveyor to the wash plant it would be a hellava lot better for the wash plant not having to deal with boulders or rocks .
I'd still periodically spread out the heap and metal detect it. If the new addition catches anything it doesn't automatically follow that it caught everything.
.
What would work better is a bucket that screens 3 inch minus. It's not hard. Old job used a cat 330 with the bucket. They were screening ash and metal
Chris Kruse is a goof!!!!
Run a screen after the tailings you got this 🤙👌
They are restoring all after?
@Welders have entered the chat
Yeah u have to run those tailings
Man is take a metal detector to those tailings
thats a lot of tattoo money for these knuckle draggers
id be diggin up my tailings
wait, what season is this??? this is 11 right? not 12???
A real man can build a tree house just give him trees boards nails and a hammer .
Looks like it might be time to rerun some tailings
Best boss = Rick
They should have metals detectors if they are using quite old equipments to sluice. Quick work just to make sure machinery did their job acurrately.
I would be reworking all the previous tailings on the new rig.
Is he going to go back and run the tailings????
I was thinking that . Same with Parker etc what they been throwing out
There would be no way , most folks would skip it and just keep on . It's got to be re-ran
not when they know they are getting 80% or more even without nugget trap, it would be a waste of money with this kind of equipment.
AUMN golden minerals found a gold vein 150 meters
Are you telling me he was washing those nuggets right out the end?
I would be building a smaller plant that runs on solar from a few batteries. To wash the tailings a second time and just not have extra fuel costs on top of everything else.
The patent on the "Nugget trap," is worth more than the gold....worldwide!!
Yeah now you have to run all your tailings through your sluice.
you have to re-run your tailings
Now if he could find a hat that didn't make him look like a doofus.
Go Rick!!!
These people should be absolutely humiliated by this as should the person who engineered their mining system.
i wonder if they re-ran the tailing's.
is this the new season 2021 version?
Great invention to trap gold.
The guy is telling you to roughly build a trapezoid for gold
It was consistent catching small gold.
they should make a 2 or 3 tier nugget trap
I never understand with things like this. Why wouldn’t they re-run the tailings if they know there is gold that has gone out the back end.
if he put a piece of 1 inch diamond grate on top of that catcher he built i think it could keep out the huge rocks and still catch the gold they are after
No underneath, I get what your saying tho
Very nice
What happened to the other narrator voice guy?
Nice trap.
Not So Real Reality TV. The reality is that a certain channel is there to make MONEY.
So maybe you run the tailings through one more time?
Don't hate on me but so did him and Parker completely split? Haven't watched this show in like 4 years.
A flatbrim hat required to be on the team?
The need is to RESLUICE THE TAILINGS
its not called tailings its called waste rock
metal detect the tailings ya dummies. i wonder how many several oz nuggets just got tossed away
As a geologist for UKHM, I spent the summers of 1966 and ‘67 in the immediate area of Mt Hinton, which feeds Duncan Creek. I found 40-odd veins containing zones of exceptional gold and silver values. At that time, we had a very limited budget and all work was by hand (no dozer or mechanical drill). Unfortunately, I could never expose any economic tonnages. After I left, UKHM went underground on my highest grade discovery, but again found insufficient tonnage to be economical.
UKHM?
@@tombo6003 United Keno Hill Mines
Very interesting. That must have been very frustrating to know that it's there and not be able to get to it. We visited a retired gold mine in Colorado 3 years ago and I was surprised at how many flakes of gold you could see in the walls, but it wasn't enough to make it worth the costs to get it out.
First time seen them claim they got nuggets not just flakes to
stop mixing ur sound in mono....or y r the volumes so different?
Isn’t this last season?
Well it’s about time
In naija gold traps us for cheap
I'd have to re run his trailings see if he did lose it off the top
Metal detect the tailings
I like my nuggets, in a bowl with milk poured over them.
Rerun the pre-trap tailings
Rubber mat over the channeling catch all your gold
If he really be welding he should have a idea of what he’s asking for
Wahhh I’m a “fabricator” that works off CAD drawings lol
Rerun it all rick
