Thanks Wode for this. I must say that as a Zimbabwean, in the past, some of us have tended to look down upon our brothers from Malawi due to a post colonial mind-set. Much respect to this man and all Malawians who are doing great for their fellow countrymen, and indeed for Africa as a whole, because we are indeed one people. May the spirit of Ubuntu that unites us all spread to every corner of Mother Africa so that her children will rise to be world-changers in every sphere of life- Amen.

As a Zimbabwean, I went to school out there in the sticks(or in Africa as South Africans say) alongside other kids of Malawian descent, l had to pull my socks and work extra hard to keep up with them. From an early age, l knew that Zimbabweans had a snobbish attitude towards Malawian people. However, l was lucky to see how smart they were from an early childhood age and also my mother had lots of Malawian friends- I think they used to call each other “achimwene” or something similar. To top it all, from the sticks/African school, I would go to the top high school(the first government school for black students in colonial times), and as fate would have it, my best teacher was a Malawian straight from Malawi who taught mathematics and that man transformed us into smart mathematicians. For some of us who made it Uni, we were taught by another great maths professor from Malawi. And when I had my first daughter, Professor Kasule was my gynaecologist and he was one of the top in the field in Harare. The moral of the story is that there were a lot of inspiring and successful people of Malawian origin right in our midst and only the stupid chose to be snobbish instead of getting inspiration from the best people around you.

This video, Wode Maya and this man are truly inspirational. Journeying is Africa is not a simple one, especially when I have lived nearly all my life in Europe. I have a similar vision in Rwanda, I am doing it but the doubts at times naturally creep in but I continue to push as there are results. The end goal is big. Let's continue to encourage our community to "Dream Big". Sometimes we want success overnight but all great things come with time and hard work. Thanks for sharing. I encourage all viewers to share it.

The US was forcefully settled and 100 million native Americans or Indians eliminated in 100 years . Only 3 million left and still want their territory back from White .
The US was built out of free Black slave labor imported from Africa . Most of the infrastructure in the US has only come up in the last 100 years .
In 1920 16% of US had high school graduation . Almost more than 300 years after white settled in US . Today 80% high school graduation rate .
US Urbanization rate in 1895 more than 250 years after white settled in America 25% . Rwanda urbanization 60 years after Independence roughly 19% . Gabon urbanization 1963 at 17%,Gabon urbanization 2023 is at 63% .
