I just watched a video from someone that repairs machines. He said it's all metal inside and he said it will last a lifetime. He also said you'd be looking at over $200. So you got a great deal and a great machine.
haha I broke 2 needles too when trying the first day, although I got the funlock 004 not 004 D also purchased used one. I love how much more beautiful my clothes look now
mystry miles aw thank you! I already broke it 😑 I’m an evil serger owner 😭😭 Jk I’m hoping to get it serviced soon but for now I’m just giving all my love to my sewing machine
Congratulations on the purchase of your new Serger! It’s very nice! I’ve never seen that little piece before so I can’t tell you what it is. Maybe try a search on UA-cam or Google for your Serger’s included accessories..
I just bought that same machine today, and was looking up videos about it, there aren't many, yours was one of the few that popped up. I've never used a serger before, so I was looking for other people using it ...maybe you'd like to make a video soon about how to use it. :)? ...
Brandilyn Esquivel I would actually love to!!! But I broke it 😭😭😭😭 literally a week after having it. I need to get it serviced. And my lower looper replaced
Congrats that's a nice machine. The nets are for spool thread. Vogue 9199 is super ease and can be made entirely on your serger once you master it and the same goes for the 8972 if you downsize for knit fabric instead of the woven it was printed for. The 9252 is also rather easy. If you go through lots of elastic buy it by the roll from Amazon, much cheaper
Teri O omg! I just searched all those three patterns and they are so beautiful 😍!!! I must sew them!!! 🤣🤣 I will have to check Amazon because I am actually using up my elastic pretty quick. I never realized how fast it goes 🤨 lol Thank you for your suggestions they are awesome!!!!
It's so exciting that you have a serger. I love how finished serged seams look. So professional looking. I hope you're enjoying your serger. I think the Simplicity pattern hack patterns are fun to sew up. I think you will like them, if you haven't tried them before. How are your Sewit! Academy classes going, by the way?
Manecoarse the classes are awesome! I didn’t make the tote bag or the rectangle top or skirt because I don’t think those irate items I would use or wear. But I’m at the part where I’m learning about all the different variations with knits and it extremely helpful! I am enjoying it so far ❤️👌🏽😁😁
Sew Another thank you 😊 I’m actually fixing it as we speak the lower lever part broke because I was to crazy excited to slow down and check the timing 😅😅
Simplicity 8567 is so cute! I must have view D. Congratulations on your new serger!!! The mesh stretchy net things go over your thread; I believe to give more control of the thread coming off the spools. Melissa, what kind of paper do you use to trace your patterns with?
TextileTailored Thoughts I use hardware paper from homedepot it’s like 11$ it lasts a really long time. My tracing process takes a long time though. Lol 😂 I don’t ever cut my patterns so I trace over the tissue paper so that it leaves a light mark and when I’m done I remove the tissue and make the lines darker lol then I cut it.

Paradise Creations I agree I ended up ruining it though 😭 it will be in the shop soon to be repaired
Love that you got a serger. I love mine. I do like the way the garments look when done.
Annette Lamboy yes! I am absolutely enjoying it so much 🥰👏🏽👏🏽

If you do Google search for your serger you should be able to find a free download for the manual line. Congrats on your purchase.
