Hey to be fair to Minnesota (and in turn the Raiders), their defense is 2nd (!) in DVOA since week 7 or 8 I think. So while they're mediocre overall, the defense is really good. But yes, still one of the worst losses in NFL history.

This looked and felt different to the Broncos 70 point beat down. The Broncos looked out matched, overwhelmed, they were just getting out played by a superior team. The Chargers looked like they had given up before the first snap, like they weren't even trying, hugging instead of tackling, going half speed, moving aside on blocking assignments, blowing coverage' etc.
This was a protest by the Chargers rosters, they had to have been below rock bottom. Ex-NFL players brought up an interesting point, their poor plays last night are on tape forever and players never EVER want to put bad plays on tape if they can avoid it. So to do this means they were way past frustrated with Staley.

I literally turned my back on the TV twice for 2 seconds and missed TD's. What's amazing is that neither team had been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, but one team went for the throat, while the other one was a bunch of guys making business decisions. The Chargers once again folded when they could have effectively ended the Raiders season, but instead, they made the best case not to wait another 3 weeks to fire their coach.

  • @rohanshah7559

Also the issue with the first raiders game, The one that decided whether the chargers or raiders would go to the playoffs, wasn’t the fact that the chargers lost. Yeah, he went 14-2 and the front office canned him. Talk about a moron move....but then again, Marty could never win in the postseason be it Cleveland, KC Chargers. Call it bad luck, poor decisions, bad officiating, better opponent, crappy run run run gameplan, kicker chokes, dropped passes, whatever.

One thing no one's talking about is that recently the Chargers have had almost all of their good players out. It's insane. I looked prior to the game this week... Herbert, Allen, Bosa, and about 5 other players that have pff grades over 70. That's incredibly unlucky, and it's about half their salary cap. All I'm saying is that I'm not super surprised they got blown out like this.

As someone who had been a fan for so many years when they were in San Diego, my opinion is that Dean Spanos is the problem. He got his LA wish and would not spend a dime on a good coach. That is sad considering they are only paying $1 a year renting out the Sofi stadium. But then again, they have been making bad decisions since the Ryan Leaf days. They know how to waste great talents like Drew Brees, LaDainan Tomlinson, Philip Rivers and Antonio Gates. They are doing the same to Justin Herbert and Keenan Allen. The organization is downright pathetic and you should just look up at the top to see who is running it.
