    What people don't realize is that Staley coached on the Rams team before they went to the Super Bowl. He was not on a Super Bowl team. In fact, in the playoffs they lost to the Packers, 32 points were scored against his defense in that game.

    • @DaReaIJesus
      @DaReaIJesus Рік тому +5

      Also don’t forget the quarterback play Staley’s Rams played that season specifically. Like 90% of the QBs they played that year were either mid or garbage. His sample size as a DC was not impressive, especially when you had elite defensive pieces like Ramsay and Aaron Donald on that crew to cover his flaws.

    • @peepingtomlinson
      @peepingtomlinson Рік тому +3

      @@DaReaIJesus That's what I told people the day he was hired and everyone wanted to argue. Staley's resume was smoke and mirrors. The year he was the DC for LA, they had a cupcake schedule against the NFC East in which WAS was the division winner with a 7-9 record, the Rams got swept by SF who finished 6-10, and the AFC East in which BUF was the only good team. Add all that with prime AD and Ramsey, you'll definitely look like a 'D guru'.

    Frankly, he proved he wasn't HC material in his first season, and I'm not just talking about the timeout against the Raiders. There was also that game against the Chiefs where he kept going for it on 4th down in the redzone and failed every time; if he'd kicked a field goal on just one of those possessions, the Chargers would have won in regulation but instead they lost in overtime.
    He wasn't a coach. He was an analytics nerd.

    • @navonmyhand7999
      @navonmyhand7999 Рік тому

      I felt the same. His embrace of analytics was nice to see until I saw he would go for it on 4th in the dumbest ways possible: the team would execute badly or just not have the playcalls/personel with a high success rate to justify going for it. And the defense... the team's biggest weakness is defense letting each game be competitive, yet that's his responsibility!! It's the reason he got hired! Once I saw how bad the defense would continue to be I stopped being a "fan" of Staley and waited for his firing, which was for too long.

      Joey Bosa's an injury-prone sack-of-s**t. The only good game he's had in the past 3 seasons was that MNF game vs. the Jet(sam)s (the game where he impersonated his brother Nick w/that 2.5 sack performance). Outside of that; Joey Bosa's constantly on the sidelines battling injuries (a routine no-show on 3rd downs). Simply put; Joey Bosa SUCKS!!!!!
