Crawl spaces (under the house) are very cool to rest in summer months. The temperature is pretty constant. Lying in the dirt is very comfortable. Smart bear.
Please let him stay as long as he needs, and give him some honey. Because we’ve taken over their habitats and ruined so many food sources, it’s time to take responsibility and give back to these animals 💛
geezuz--feed them they will stay forever--where do you live so you can feed him--in the LA basin there used to be 500 grizz bears--all across california there was thousands of grizzly--they got shot and ate,all of them, not one left
I have the same size crawlspace, and if it’s not properly secured, wildlife can easily move in. I’ve dealt with cats, snakes, raccoons, and currently still have plenty of lizards. Thankfully, I’ve never had to deal with a bear!
We are in their territory, poor bears are facing heat, lack of resources and wildfires because of human caused climate change. Black bears are docile, lived in MA and they were fine as long as you leave them alone. They prefer to eat berries
I will say that California has had wildfires for long enough that some plant species won't germinate till a fire rolls through. That crawl space has to look like an appealing little cave too😊
Edited- Sierra Madre where the first one was is about 5 mi west of Monrovia where this one is. And Monrovia is 10 miles west of where the bridge fire was.
So many animals have lost their homes due to wildfire. With people so many people not fearing, but wanting a selfie, it is concerning. I'm not referring to this video. We need more information on bear proofing, and keeping mountain lions away. I've lived in Canadian Rockies, where it's become a big problem, and measures had to be taken, like bear proof bins.
they hibernate and need a cave. yall should leave it in peace. bears need this kind of thing to live. so like its good to let it live there. without this it may die. this is what bears do and need in nature is a cave. they hibernate very long periods of time in caves.
@@The_Quaalude im speaking from bears perspective. it represents the cave/dark secluded area they need for hibernation. something bears do. the word cave didnt matter. it doesnt need to be a cave. it can also be something like a dark area under a house.
@@henlohenlo689 Beautifully said. For thousands of years, anatomically modern humans were living in caves with a campfire inside for cooking, warmth and lighting. Now we have houses that we've built that still do the same primary job.
Southern California bears don't hibernate. It never gets that cold over most of the area & there's usually food. And they can walk a few miles & get to a lower elevation.
@@cagal1066 its not about cold weather. its about the systems of how they function. this allows also their body to grow big is the hibernation. its part of theur growth how they grow so big.
you do not know what your talking about--here in mammoth lakes calif we have a lot of bears that hang around our town--for the most part they are a nonissue --but people like you are a real problem--they are not poor babies nor poor things--that is a infantile description -i ignore them, they ignore me
Instead of sealing and letting the bear go, you could've built a kennel and throw some old pillows for the bear to sleep. Give him some honey, corn on the cob. Very intelligent animals.
Feeding them is a bad idea but allowing them to be (or at least move through) somewhere on the property they won’t cause damage probably wouldn’t be a terrible idea. I’m down a bear rabbit hole right now because of a video about a homeowner who built a bear door in his fence so the bear would stop knocking it down. 😂
Had this been a human this would be considered breaking & entering but because it's a bear he gets away with it completely absolved from the law now that's how you do it!!...you gotta love it though!!😆😂🐻💯
Honestly black bears would be up on the top of my list of a bear to encounter in the wild. They're smart menaces but they're also unlikely to actively try to kill you.
He’s actually very adorable and not bothering anyone. Adorable house guest.
He is smelly, tho.
Absolutely 👍
Until he gets hungry!
@@debbytidwell9870 There are lots of tasty humans in the neighborhood. Dude has it made.
They wouldn't have to worry about burglars with him around.

That bear looks like it is 1 meal away from getting stuck.
😂
😂😂😂
They don’t have now where to go. There homes are getting destroyed buy the fire. They don’t have a home or food. 😢
That bear doesn’t appear to have missed many meals. 😂
😍😍😍 Please dont hurt him!!!
Leave these bears 🐻 alone, they’re friendly creatures
@@chuckxu5910ummm while I agree that I hope they leave them alone, they are FAR from “friendly creatures”.
He's so cute and he looked very comfortable sleeping.
🐻Sounds like an unbearable situation 🐻
😂😂😂
Had to have a big pause... and think about that one.
Bears hates noises, that house must be really peaceful. 👌🏻
they got sensitive ears, can hear up to 10 miles way
If I live in that house, I will let that bear live under, I don’t mind
His Bear BnB 🏡
😂
He's absolutely huge how did he squeeze into such a small space!...those rascally bears!!😆🐻

Rent is HIGH, California. Even animals feeling the pressures
Easier to evict animal squatters than human squatters…
Cute bear, leave him alone! You are in his home 🐻
you are in my home--my peoples have been here for a thousand years, move out,go away
Looks like a bear living in the inside of the house as well.
Imagine hearing roars under your house like a zombie clawing around down there.

Stop living in fear
Clearly totally different bear. The bear from a couple of weeks ago was much bigger.
If this is a different bear, would this bear and the other bear fight for territory in that neighborhood?

@@cagal1066 no, the Bridge Fire was never close to Monrovia, it started above Glendora and moved northeast. Monrovia is 10 miles WEST of Glendora.
