It's not the characters, it's the story lines of this era. But they'll get better quite soon, and when they do, the caracters become, if not likable, at least understandable, again.

I am glad that people are venting off about the show, they are being honest and they have the right to watch the show even when they are displeased. They are not displeased with the person who uploaded the program, they are displeased by the cast choices and the writing and they have a vested interest in the show and they notice that this show has a number of problems in the complete change of casting, the show is different from the first 250 episodes and they expect quality as they are watching it as they should. They are going to continue watching the show no matter how they feel and they will watch it to the end, once people are involve with a show, they want to watch it to the very end and that is their right to make comments about the scenes because they are paying attention to the story and a lot of people are writing good comments because what they are saying is true and people should have the right to say what they feel. The comments are honest and interesting and TRUE. They are not ungrateful and they don't have to piss off and watch something. They have the right to watch what they like and make comments about it These people are grateful to watch the show or else they wouldn't be this far in the show. It's wrong for you to insult us and withhold our right to watch the show and have something to say.

The acting isn't the best and one dimensional and the personalities are unlikely in a prison. I think that you nailed it in your comment. I am on episode 566 and the writing is so poor and yes, If I were younger I would have written better episodes. They should be afraid of the screws, they should be a lot tougher because Wentworth is a tough prison. The stories should be more serious and they should be watchful of the stories that they repeat and they should have visited real prisons to get their stories from.

Nice to see the Freak in Joan slowly resurfacing . Joan has seemed completely different from her first deadly year at Wentworth these last few weeks. Giving Marie Trevor's obsession with Greek names: Narcissa would have been a more appropriate name for Pepe Trevor's Character, as opposed to the Greek name Alexis.
It wasn't Marie Trevor who created the character it was Carol Drouyn . Watch one of her talking Prisoner interviews where they reveal that the character was intended to be an entitled rich kid rebelling against her background or something like that. So Alexis was meant to signify her silver spoon heritage. For some reason the background got changed at some point. I'd recommend watching talking Prisoner uploads as they clarify a lot and dispel a lot interest myths.
Forget recycling actors. In this episode they have one guy playing 2 parts at the same time! Yes, I know they are different actors but they look so similar!! Its like he's talking into a mirror

Willie is always over acting. Does anyone else find the same? Prisoner didn't used to have such ridiculous characters. I definitely preferred the earlier episodes when there were less silly characters.
I really wish they had brought a few previous, much loved characters back such as Chrissie, Helen, Minnie, maybe Pixie making a recovery, or what about even older characters such as Monnie, Pat or Ros. I can't help thinking that when they did that flashback episode that was the producers way of saying "the past is in the past" which if you ask me was a mistake. Alternatively, they could have made some of the background characters into main players. Imagine Lorna, Ronnie and Jacko running the show!

The prisoner on the typewriter at about 25.50 has been in the show for a very very long time ! Even though she very rarely speaks ! I think she is just a extra ! But apart from Mrs Morris she is one of the last ones from pretty close to the beggining of the show ! Just a observation !

Giving Marie Trevor's obsession with Greek names: Narcissa would have been a more appropriate name for Pepe Trevor's Character, as opposed to the Greek name Alexis.
It wasn't Marie Trevor who created the character it was Carol Drouyn
. Watch one of her talking Prisoner interviews where they reveal that the character was intended to be an entitled rich kid rebelling against her background or something like that. So Alexis was meant to signify her silver spoon heritage. For some reason the background got changed at some point. I'd recommend watching talking Prisoner uploads as they clarify a lot and dispel a lot interest myths.

anyone realize that four previous characters have returned as new characters, didn't realize that Australia didn't have many actors back in the day.
Didn't make much of our own TV or movies back then.
@@karennicholls8532 plenty of aussie tv shows during this time, especially the 80's. Not sure why actors were recycled, only to say that they're not ongoing permanent roles, so probably take the jobs when available

Willie is always over acting. Does anyone else find the same? Prisoner didn't used to have such ridiculous characters. I definitely preferred the earlier episodes when there were less silly characters.
I really wish they had brought a few previous, much loved characters back such as Chrissie, Helen, Minnie, maybe Pixie making a recovery, or what about even older characters such as Monnie, Pat or Ros.
I can't help thinking that when they did that flashback episode that was the producers way of saying "the past is in the past" which if you ask me was a mistake.
Alternatively, they could have made some of the background characters into main players. Imagine Lorna, Ronnie and Jacko running the show!
