As a Maryland resident, the media did not share ANY of this information about this trial. They highlighted her home purchase in Florida and never indicated that it was the money she invested in her retirement fund. I now feel like I didn't do my part to support this black woman because of the medias ridicule and lies! But I will now! This is why black media has to be the for front of our movement towards equal justice.

I am from Baltimore and I have had so many arguments with people that don’t understand how these policies work. What she did WAS no different from what thousands of people did to access their money!! Did she claim a hardship for financial reasons or not... even though her salary never decreased.... Even though she never lost her job. And then turned around and bought a house with the money??... because she was allowed to make a withdrawal without a penalty for financial hardships, not to purchase a vacation home.
By the way, her salary was $248,000.
She was also convicted for lying on the mortgage application. She stated that she did not have any liens on any properties. Even though she had a 45,000 tax lien. This is strange to me because if she makes that much money, why did she not pay the $45,000??
She also claimed that one of the properties would be used primarily as a personal residence, and would not be rented out. There are certain financial advantages to homes being primary residences over rentals. So, she lied about that and immediately turned around and hired a management company for that property.
I would have respected this if she had said that she didn't follow the rules exactly. Not maintaining that she did nothing wrong. She should have taken a plea and gotten a slap on the wrist.
We all know this is done bcuz she stood up for that Brother that was deleted in that pig wagon! They hate to see any of us stand up for our people. BOTTOM LINE

Let me tell you ppl need to go back and watch Marilyn’s press conferences on Freddy Gray. As a Maryland resident I was so proud of Marilyn Mosby. She was holding wrong accountable. At the time the police were angry at the way she was prosecuting them. The way the officers handled Freddy before he was placed in the wagon he was in extreme pain. They did not secure him and he was clearly injured only because he looked suspicious and ran. From the time they acquitted those officers it’s been a constant story about her and trying to paint her as a criminal. This is heartbreaking because she spoke loud and proud to get justice for someone who could no longer speak. So I will support her and sign the petition. Thank you Marilyn for your voice at that time.💕💕💕🙏🏾

I’m from Baltimore and I saw through this bs when they first announced it. I was shocked that they got an indictment. I’m so glad she did this interview because so many people in Baltimore including black people- were against her mainly because they believe everything they see on the news!! The news- especially Fox can’t stand her either. So she didn’t have a chance. Marilyn is gonna be in the history books and she’s gonna come back better than ever!! actually..when you are a lawyer, you are considered an "officer of the court". As such, you are held to a higher standard than non lawyers. So she..failed herself by making $250k a year, and claiming financial hardship to buy a luxury condo in Florida.
How are you committing financial crimes when you know you’re being investigated by the DOJ? There is a lot of deflecting here. No accountability. You’d think being an attorney she’d know the Judge may find her lack of accountability a reason to not to give her the minimum. The judge is listening to this, trust. I strongly encourage anyone who watched this to look up her cases. She was convicted of 3 charges; two counts of perjury and one count of mortgage fraud. The good she was doing for the community likely made her a target. The good doesn't negate the fact the she also committed fraud. Two things can be true at the same time.

She claimed a hardship when there wasn’t any, now ironically she’s faced with more than likely the greatest hardship of her life. What a costly lesson. I’m from Baltimore and I’ve been saying the same thing.
Did she claim a hardship for financial reasons or not... even though her salary never decreased.... Even though she never lost her job. And then turned around and bought a house with the money??... because she was allowed to make a withdrawal without a penalty for financial hardships, not to purchase a vacation home.
By the way, her salary was $248,000.
She was also convicted for lying on the mortgage application. She stated that she did not have any liens on any properties. Even though she had a 45,000 tax lien. This is strange to me because if she makes that much money, why did she not pay the $45,000??
She also claimed that one of the properties would be used primarily as a personal residence, and would not be rented out. There are certain financial advantages to homes being primary residences over rentals. So, she lied about that and immediately turned around and hired a management company for that property.
I would have respected this if she had said that she didn't follow the rules exactly. Not maintaining that she did nothing wrong. She should have taken a plea and gotten a slap on the wrist.
