i think guitar needs to be tuned properly

You can't expect these guys to sound like LTE, come on, there's few people in the world that can play this perfectly. I thought they did a great job.
This is the embodiment of all stereotypes. Black man on base, a nerd(wearing a Zelda t-shirt) on keyboard, the over-the-top wanna be extreme sport drummer, and the nerdy guitar player. Regardless, they kick ass and good for them. I approve.

This comment section is cancer. A group of musicians performs a piece that most of you would never be able to pull off and all you have to say about the entire performance as a whole is the guitar was slightly out of tune? Fuck that.

yeah it's due this fall... just cause we go to berklee doesn't mean we ONLY play songs we write. What do you learn from that anyway? You play other people's stuff that suits you and makes you feel something and then infuse it into something new. Ok berklee isn't the "instant get famous" solution some people thinks it is, but were not all stupid hipster wana be pop stars or jazz snobs who don't give anything a second thought. We like good music, we play good music, and we write good music.

I know from experience how hard those pieces are to play on guitar and they did an AMAZING job at executing it and nailing the feel and energy of those passages!
I suppose you don't play any instrument,those covers aren't just covers,have you ever realized how many skill you need to play these "covers"?As a guitarist who studied some books from Berklee and from G.I.T.,I think they did a great work!!Rock on guys!!

Trust me, we're learning more everyday about that. I'm no stranger to hard work. You think I didn't have to practice my ass off to get this out of a performance? Most of these shows are not 100% well planned and in this case your probably also looking at about 80% playing ability of all of us because of the heightened adrenalin and nerves from playing in front of our peers. It's a nice cover but 2 problems:
1- Strange guitar tone
2- At most parts that keyboards should go with the guitar, it didn't
But nice song choice, LTE is by far my favorite band ever, and it's something rare to see fans and covers

The guitar on Paradigm Shift was awesome, though I really wish the keyboard would've played the fills at some key parts. Acid Rain was a little behind the tempo, but the cojones necessary to play this song live makes up for that. You sir are a badass.

a former berklee student, and short time employee there told me that it has always been a problem with the majority of the student body that they want to go from 0-60 without understanding how the engine propels them, or how they can fine tune the engine and make it more efficient, so it will work for them rather than work against them....
I have noticed that a lot of YT videos don't play back at the correct speed making instruments sound out of tune. I hear a bit of a warble all the way through this performance.
Dude 2nd semester students ... I've been trying to play at least a little part of those songs for years ... ! just think about it , the skills when they graduate !

I know this is 8 years ago, but one criticism I have - besides the tuning issue - is not modulating from Paradigm Shift's key to Acid Rain's properly.

I get what hojima's saying though. I don't know why people think Berkeley is some sort of "special" thing to do with your life. Theory, Composition, in all honesty anything musical you can learn on your own, or from a teacher for considerably less money.
I know there's a lot more to it than that, but there tends to be two sides to the argument: Berkeley alumni who will argue that it's the best thing ever, and people who see it as a waste of time and money.
Well you COULD get a tuner :D ... but I know that during a show it's not always easy to start tuning your guitar :D

Maybe its cause its a 7 and not his main guitar. Agile guitars are really nice though...Agile & Avatar are where its at for bang for the buck, no contest.
Congrats guys! Great song choices but with great songs comes great responsabilities. You should work on the timmings. Out of sync many times! But overall great work!
That's strange that the guitar is out of tune, that's an Agile Interceptor 7-string and even though they're fairly cheap guitars they usually sound amazing

Well,we should see what kind of ideas you have and how you play,but if you don't care,why criticizing?Anyway,any artist in music schools started to play covers and having fun,and those covers are a great step,if after years of music studies,you play just covers,it doesn't so good,but they are young musicians having fun,before to criticize,you should prove you can do better things,or maybe do you just envy those students?Enjoy music without criticize so much.
