"Train Kept A-Rollin' (as well as everything but the first 2 singles) was Grady Martin. The sound was done by raising the low-E polepiece right up to the string to get the distortion.
Wow! Great choice here! Still trying to catch up on your back catalog, it’s definitely a labor of love! Will definitely have to spend some time with this lesson! I’ll be heading over to Patreon to pick up the tab. I still think your Patreon membership is one of the best values out there. Cheers. 🤠
Hi Adrian thank you for showing how to play these great Grady Martin licks could you please show us what’s going on in the verses to Johnny Burnettes sweet love on my mind? Thanks for your time mate😀
I realise that you probably get plenty of requests to break tunes down, but I’d like to add 3 to that list if I may. I see you’ve covered a couple of Link Wray tunes, how about “The Swag”? Second one, a rockabilly tune, move around by Joe Poovey Third and final one, Train kept Rollin, it’s originally by Tiny Bradshaw, but Johnny Horton, and others since have not only sped it up, but changed the arrangement. See what you think
Great video Adrian and a very nice touch adding the set up. That Space Echo is amazing and looks stunning too. Trouble is I’ve just gone back and picked up on your Mystery Train lesson (as I love the Sun recordings stuff) and challenged myself to that picking style. When you’ve never done that before it is hard work, even the Spanish guitar picking that I learned in the last century which I can amazingly still do a bit hasn’t helped. It’s going to be a long road till I get to this. BTW, thanks for the Shaking All Over video, I’ve got that down now, just getting it close to the tempo of the record.
I know you probably get asked this all the time but could you please do either do another Smiths lesson (Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now, You've Got Everything Now) or a Stone Roses one (Bye Bye Badman, She Bangs the Drums)
All great suggestions - thanks. It's just a question of finding the time. I'm sure I'll do another Smiths song at some point, would also love to look at a bit of John Squire!
Fantastic lesson .... What a great track.. Rockabilly at its best ..
Excellent! Grady Martin was a monster. Thanks for doing this song.
tremendous lesson from one of the great rockabilly tracks. Love Grady Martin. Well done Adrian!

Thanks so much Adrian. Beautifully explained, as always
This is great, I always loved the rock n roll trio album, lonesome tears is definitely worth a lesson
"Train Kept A-Rollin' (as well as everything but the first 2 singles) was Grady Martin. The sound was done by raising the low-E polepiece right up to the string to get the distortion.
...And a valve in Paul Burlison's amp blew out and he liked the distorted sound so much he never replaced it.
I needed this Adrian , I love rockabilly and this classic! Thanks!
Thank you for your videos, always great tunes and well explained.
Awesome bud more rockabilly 👍🎶🎸
Love the Space Echo.
Poor Paul B. He spent the rest of his life trying to live down Grady’s work.

Such an amazing lesson
Great demo. You don't look like a Rockabilly but you play like one.
Love these kind of vibes🎶🎶
I wondered how he did that lick at 9:07. Thanks!
best teacher on youtube imo rocket in my pocket next?
The guitar in that song is killer! The song is mostly piano but when the guitar cuts through for that solo it's amazing.
I think it was Grady Martin who did all of the great acoustic work on the classic Marty Robbins song “El Paso” (also worthy of a lesson).
Great Job! Keep on 👍
Damn you play it better than the original.

Great lesson and a cool tele. Cheers and be lucky.
Stunning mate
Another outstanding lesson. Would you consider doing the Yardbirds classic "Shapes of Things" in particular the Jeff Beck solo..............
I'd love to see a video on Hank Garland's playing behind Janis Martin (lead on Barefoot Baby esp).
Great lesson! Maybe you could add some graphics of the parts? I know that might be hard to do.

Hi Jay Tee Can you please tell me where I find Adrian's set up details for this Lonesome Train tutorial?

Good cover:)) Sounds good :))

Junior Brown would be great--Adrian hasn't broke out his guit-steel yet!
Great rockabilly track - can I request “star star “ by Rolling Stones please ?

Hey great lesson!! Cool, what amp settings are you using?
Great lesson, Adrian. And yes, it was definitely a Grady Martin take. However, Paul did mime it quite well (ua-cam.com/video/U911eonkaQc/v-deo.html )
How on Earth did you find this ??…
it's a classic actually
it's in a movie from 1956 called rock! rock! rock! you can see them play it.
I'll trade you Nickelback for that Space Echo.
