I am so glad I came across your channel. Theses would make great gifts. You explain things that make it easy to understand. TFS. Finally getting my craft area together, you have given me Christmas ideas.
Fabulous tutorial Sara. Your notebook covers are all darling. As I have said many times....you are so very talented and so generous in sharing your amazing creativity with all of us. Hugs, Mary
What a cute project! Thanks for sharing. I think I would like to make the inside pocket the height of the folder so things don't fall out...and maybe rig up a way for a pen or pencil to be attached.
Love your video! Very well detailed. I had a thought to share regarding the binding, by coloring it with ink or other medium. Thank you for sharing your ideas
Hi Sara! I love this video! I was making these a different way, but your way made it soooo much easier, I can crank out 3-4 in one day! I don't use the Tyvek or Canvas, I use colored Duck Tape and put Washi Tape or make my own decorative border on the edges to cover the Duck Tape Edges. I don't mind that it shows on the inside at the top and bottom and I also put chipboard in the spine, but this video made my life easier! I would love to show you what I have made, if you're interested in seeing. Someone below asked about pricing, I sold my for $15 and people were glad to pay it, especially if I personalize it with their choice of pictures.! Again, thank you for this video!
Hi Carmella. Thanks so much. You can post pics to my face book page. I'm on my phone so I can't get the link. Myserenitycrafts 12. I think, lol. TFW. Sara
+myserenitycrafts here is the link; facebook.com/My-Serenity-Crafts-1599111043690015/timeline/?ref=aymt_homepage_panelI would love to see some of your work. TFW, Sara
Great project! This will make wonderful holiday gifts. Where is the craft show you do? And, are scrapbooks all that you sell. I'm considering doing one next spring in NYC. I can see that these would sell very well. One suggestion - instead go giving the buyer an extra pad cover, how about just selling the pad with an extra pad? Thank you for sharing this.
Lynn Wayne Hi Lynn, I do one show a year at a local volunteer fire company. Its from 9am - 3pm and I usually do really well. I just bring all the things I have been creating that year and see what happens. I don't charge a lot because I really don't want to bring anything home, and I would rather have the money to buy more craft supplies to try more things. TFW, Sara
hi just subscribed to your channel, i luv this idea, i have 2 granddaughters just 13 and 14 so am going to make them one for school, they will luv them, thank you for sharing.xx
I love this project! How cute and useful. My only suggestion is that I would cover the tyvek or sticky canvas so that you do not see it on the inside. Thank you for sharing this project. Tink
Watching again. Really like this project. You mentioned not knowing how to add music ... well ... I'm glad you don't. I have always found it distracting and not what I'm viewing for. You just keep doing what you do!!
The heavy weight folder you used (from the Dollar Store) ... which dollar store might that have been/ There's more than one in my area. The folder looks great!! Thank you for sharing this with us. Oh and Fabri-Tac is an amazing glue ... I've used it for many, many years. Personally, I'm very happy that there's no music. I like your videos just as you do them!!
I love this idea. I'll have to give it a try. I think I'll make up a bunch of these and then I'll always have a quick gift on hand. Maybe covering a writing pen in the same paper would be cute to put inside in the pocket or even in the spine. I see lots of options with this idea. TFS. p.s. I don't know how much tyvek cost at Staples but the Post Office has all sizes of tyvek envelopes and they are Free......just sayin
This is such a great idea! It was worth watching to learn a new way to do those dang corners!!! Woohoo! I can't tell you how frustrating that was...and I tried cutting it all kinds of ways and nothing worked. Your book turned out adorable! If you don't mind me asking, what is a good price to sell these at? I am getting ready to do a show in my area and am clueless as to what to charge. I'm in S.Carolina so I hope we're not in the same area. hehe Thanks for the great tutorial!!
+MultiScrappydo Oh good, Pricing is the hardest thing for me. I really undercharge, just so I will sell it, LOL. $7-10 I guess. Sorry I really stink at pricing. TFW, Sara
What a great tutorial !! I learned so much . I do have one question : Would you use this same method for a skinny notepad cover? Thank you again for taking the time to share this. I really appreciate it. Carolyn
I have a couple of more questions; they may be dumb but here goes : when you fussy cut the images did you apply anything on them to stiffen them or did you just glue them directly and how did you separate the small notepads without them coming apart ? Thank you again.
***** Hi Carolyn, I am glad you liked it. I'm not sure what a skinny notepad is, but if the paper attaches at the top and it has a cardboard backing it will work. TFW, Sara
***** The paper line I used has some pages that seem like they have a coating, so the house looks shiny. I didn't do anything, but cut it out and glue it on the way I told you in the video. When I separated the small notepads I did lose a few pages on the first ones, but I was more careful after that. I just gently pulled them apart. nothing fancy. TFW, Sara
myserenitycrafts Ok. The skinny notepad is the same concept. I have just watched videos where people use the same notepads from Staples and have them cut the small left side off and then they cut down the center and makes two skinny notepads. Thank you again
Hi I loved your video but I have a question for you do you have the measurement of the sleeve for the little pad and for the paper that covers the top of the pad or is there one for the little pad? Thanks in advance.
keianas sweets&treats I filmed this a while ago, so I don't have that off the top of my head, Sorry. Just wrap the paper around the pad for the sizing of the sleeve and measure the top of the pad. Sorry, TFW, sAra

'Great tutorial.
Thank you for sharing and I was wondering if you have done for the 8 1/2 x 11 legal size pads
Candy Grisham No I haven't, but I think I should, LOL. TFW, Sara
I was thinking about trying to do one myself but not sure of the measurements I am not too good with that area
Could you tell me were you buy your binding tape?? I just love your note books.
I think you are talking about the sticky back canvas that I use for the binding. They sell it on amazon. I think I got mine at hobby lobby. TFW, Sara
Do you think this would be easy to convert to a double water fall recipe booklet. I am looking for something for a cookie swap.
Do you know what the measurements would be if I used a 8.5 x 11 notebooks?
tfs. great tutorial and project : )
