Thank you for your answer about the pens. I found them at Amazon.com. Your instructions for this project are wonderful. It's the best I've seen. I will be making several of these for our church craft fare. Blessings.
Hi, l was just thinking when you have finished the note pad inside the cover and you can't replace it because you glued it down, does that mean you have to throw the whole thing away and start all over? Wouldn't it be better to hang the note pad over a flap then you can replace it .. 📕🗒🗒📗📓🗒🗒
Audrey - It is from the Stampin' Up! stamp set, "Work of Art", available in wood mount or clear mount.. Let me know if you need me to order it for you :)
Diane - thank you for liking the project. To make a smaller version, I would just play with the pattern, using scrap paper until you come up with the right size for your paper.
Wonder if you figured out the measurements Diane? My legal pads also measure 1/4" depth. I'm finding that I need a 1/2" depth to accommodate the pen though, which leaves a lot of cover overhang.
Very nicely done tutorial. Thanks you for sharing! What font style and size do you use to personalize your RSVP pens? Thoughts on how to reinforce the cardstock so it doesn't tear where the pen goes?
+boxer3086 - gosh, I don't remember what size/font I used when I personalized them. You can just open a Word doc and start experimenting. Be mindful of the length and just try different sizes. I hadn't thought about reinforcing the pen tab, but I guess you could put some strong tape (packing tape maybe?) on the back side. Good luck!
+RV Crafting Packing tape sounds good. Thought you might have saved a doc from when you printed your info for the pens. I'll play and see what I come up with. I never thought to put anything but deco papers inside. Love the idea of inserting my contact info or an inspirational quote. Thanks so much. BTW, subscribed to your blog and looking forward to future posts/vids.
Yes, I have 2 or 3 at a local craft store. I'll be going over there tomorrow and am glad to send you photos if you want. Email me at gail@rvcrafting.com
In follow up, when I place the pen in the pen loop, the pen loop paper begins to tear. Any thoughts on how I can reinforce the pen loop to prevent this? Thank you.
Cosette - you could reinforce the loop with some tape - washi tape could dress it up, but plain ol' scotch tape would work just fine. Apply it on the inside as you are assembling and it won't even show. Glad you are enjoying this tutorial!
Out of a lot of videos explaining how to do it that I've watched recently, by far I like your the best! Thank you for sharing! Happy Crafting!

I have found by the time the pad is used up, the cover really needs to be replaced too. But if you wanted to make it refillable, go for it. :)
What weight or gsm/points/pounds is the card stock and how does it not crack? Thank you.
I don't know the weight, but I find that scoring the cardstock first (@2:45 in the video) prevents cracking.
I just subscribed 6an on July 8th. Thank you
How much could you sell them for.

Wonderful project. Question my paper pads measure only 1/4 how would I cut down the pattern to better fit this size pad?
