Ooh, I love the oval framing on Small Gift. The blue mat is perfect. It was very helpful to see your planning session. I may give WIPGO another try ; I usually fail at it so I've not done it for a few years. I normally do my own thing so SAls get abandoned, too. Next year, I'm going to see if I can finish up some of those types of projects that are lingering. I'm doing 25 in '25. More planning is needed, but it's fun to see my future in x stitch! While I played your video I was working on Beloved by Running with Needles and Scissors. It's seriously difficult, but I'm plugging away. I've got a beautiful oval wooden frame that I would like to put it in, so I'm making changes to make it fit. Surprise, surprise, I'm making changes!

I love your plans and it got me thinking about my plans. I’m thinking of embracing the full 25 in 25. Do 25 new starts, wipeout will be 25 SALs I’m behind on. Knit 25 pairs of socks. Work on advent calendars (there might be 25 of them). Try to get 25 finishes in cross stitch. I’m also thinking for wipeout that I will make my goal to work on the project for one day each month but then touch each past call for one day going forward until it’s finished (if that makes sense). So January calls would get 12 possible days while Decembers would only get one.
Sounds very interesting, the Wipeout you mention. Is this your idea alone or is there a group of stitchers doing that? First I've heard of it, but sounds fun. Dena

Hi Dena, so sorry to have been not around recently, family health issues had me focusing elsewhere. I am now slowly getting back to stitching and have spent time earlier today sorting my WIPGO board out for 2025. I had some brought over from last year and have decided to do a little personal WIPGO board for smalls that also need doing. Some of my projects are ones I have had in a draw for years and others are part of a series such as polar plunge which I too want to complete and my wordplay too. When you mentioned yours I agree that these lovely pieces should be finished. Hoping to catch up over the next few days and have a happy new year xxx

Hello Dena my friend!! Small Gift is simply stunning!! I’m also wrestling with my plans for 2025, project-wise. I have 3 12 month series that I have been collecting and want to get going: Bird Crush Club by Lindy Stitches, Snowman Collector by Cottage Garden Samplings, and Twelve Days of Christmas by Hello from Liz Mathews. (#12 will be released in 2025.) I also have all the WIPs from before January 2024, as well as starts from this year, that I want to get worked down. I was starting to feel overwhelmed then you said, “My goal is to START, not finish, 25 new projects!” *whew*!!!! So here’s to 2025… 36 potential starts, significant whipping of the WIPs, and a very strict “stitch from stash”, only purchasing exclusives from the two retreats I’m planning on attending. My biggest goal is to be able to attend a once-in-a-lifetime trip to France with Snug Harbor Crafts. A week of Versailles, touring the DMC factory, 3 stitching shop stops (hopefully Sajou!!) and a trip on the Bullet Train to a Christmas Village. It will be the beginning of December so the timing will be PERFECT! Don’t forget to include your temperature tree with your 25 starts! Even though you have the trunk and branches done beforehand the bulk of the stitching will be during the year. I got way behind with my temperature chart (thanks to the Super Triple Secret Spy Project), so my goal is to have it completed by the end of December so I can officially put it to bed. Wow! What a lot!! I’ll let you get back to stitching and I’m going to go back to finishing going through and organizing all my kitted protects… happy stitching and I’ll chat with you soon!!!

I am not going to start them in 2025 because I don't have them all (waiting on December), but plan on doing them in 2026. If you decide to wait on that series we could start them together. I think you have a very good, comprehensive plan for 2025 so far. It has been so much fun planning everything this month. Dena
Oh Dena, you are my inspiration! At my age it’s harder to concentrate. Question, where do you sit and stitch? We see your craft room, but do you stitch in there? I just like to prop my feet up, and can’t do that in my sewing room. Talked to you in Huntsville about cruising, and we just got back from our first….not our last for sure. It was wonderful! Know you are planning that trip of a lifetime, and know it will be wonderful!
Charlotte, I do sit right here in my craft room and stitch at my desk. I love having a flat surface to lay everything out on and have all my "things" within arms reach. I don't sit with my feet up, but when I get really tired and need a Power Nap or Cocoa needs some series attention, I have a chase lounge in the craft room. I have been known to cat nap there while petting Cocoa. LOL. Dena
My Embroidery Guild chapter is planning a retreat similar to the one you went to with your friends. It is called The Happy Cottage in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. It is approximately 15 minutes from Barefoot Needlearts. If you and your friends would like a different place to retreat, this could be a possible.

Hi Dena I love what you will be doing in 2025. I too have a few series that I would like to get done. I do plan to start 25 new starts and still work on my old WIP's to see what I can accomplish and get done. I love the finish on Small Gift it is stunning. I have been working on my 3 months to a finish and I am taking a little break and have been workin on my 45 new starts this year but I will be going through my stash and picking out what I want to start for 2025. Dena on your birthday in Dec what are you going to start? I have some series that I have not started and may pick a couple. I would like to do for example the quilts for Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter quilts and some other series that I have not started. I will be going sometime in the next couple of weeks to go to my LNS Stitchery X-Press (5 minutes from my home) or Shepards bush (21 minutes from my home) to pick out material and patterns .So I will be pretty busy planning and have my work cut out for 2025. Oh Dena, you are my inspiration! At my age it’s harder to concentrate. Question, where do you sit and stitch? We see your craft room, but do you stitch in there? I just like to prop my feet up, and can’t do that in my sewing room. Talked to you in Huntsville about cruising, and we just got back from our first….not our last for sure. It was wonderful! Know you are planning that trip of a lifetime, and know it will be wonderful!
Charlotte, I do sit right here in my craft room and stitch at my desk. I love having a flat surface to lay everything out on and have all my "things" within arms reach. I don't sit with my feet up, but when I get really tired and need a Power Nap or Cocoa needs some series attention, I have a chase lounge in the craft room. I have been known to cat nap there while petting Cocoa. LOL. Dena

My Embroidery Guild chapter is planning a retreat similar to the one you went to with your friends. It is called The Happy Cottage in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. It is approximately 15 minutes from Barefoot Needlearts. If you and your friends would like a different place to retreat, this could be a possible.

Hi Dena I love what you will be doing in 2025. I too have a few series that I would like to get done. I do plan to start 25 new starts and still work on my old WIP's to see what I can accomplish and get done. I love the finish on Small Gift it is stunning. I have been working on my 3 months to a finish and I am taking a little break and have been workin on my 45 new starts this year but I will be going through my stash and picking out what I want to start for 2025. Dena on your birthday in Dec what are you going to start? I have some series that I have not started and may pick a couple. I would like to do for example the quilts for Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter quilts and some other series that I have not started. I will be going sometime in the next couple of weeks to go to my LNS Stitchery X-Press (5 minutes from my home) or Shepards bush (21 minutes from my home) to pick out material and patterns .So I will be pretty busy planning and have my work cut out for 2025. I always love watching Cocoa at the end of your video's. In the meantime Happy Stitching and be safe and kind. God bless

Pat, I will be starting my Summer Quilt in the quilt series in 2025 also. For my birthday I will be starting Rosie Rhapsody from Rosewood Manor. Please start something from one of your favorite designers for my birthday if you like! I just ordered some fabric from Stitchery Express for the Temperature Tree by Stitchin Mommy. I will be doing that in 2025. Dena
Would you share what months you are going to do the 2 polar plunges? I am doing 25 in ‘25 as well, and starting along with someone else will motivate me to do them?
