I love the frame you chose for the Home piece! I loved hearing about your plans - so many fun projects for next year. Playing with Jax was a fun stitch. Happy stitching! - TaMara
Awwww, baby Cocoa! 🥰 I so enjoy visiting with you Dena. Your stitching is beautiful and I love the variety of items you stitch. And your finishes and FFOs are inspiring. Happy early birthday. I think I’ll spend December stitching on two projects from two of my favourite designers in honour of your birthday - Winter’s Hush by Dimensions and Madam Chantilly’s Celebrate Christmas. Hope you have safe travels and a wonderful trip. Take care and happy stitching! 🧵🪡😄❤️
Kris, so good to see your comment. I have always enjoyed seeing Ollie in your videos as well. I am so honored you will be stitching on two of your favorite designers in December in celebration of my birthday! YAY! Have a wonderful holiday season! Dena
Your ffo's are beautiful. I really enjoy listening to all of your plans. They give me lots of good ideas for my plans. The fabric choice for Playing with Jacks is gorgeous. Thank you for sharing so much with us. I look forward every week to your next video. I'm very happy you're going on a dream vacation, but I'm sure going to miss you!! I truely enjoy the pics of Cocoa. What a cutie
Carla, thanks so much for the kind words regarding my videos and my planning ideas. We are going on a dream vacation and I am so excited! I will miss Cocoa more than I can say though. I know she is in good hands with Fred's parents (and Fred too), but I will miss her terribly. Dena
Great to see you Dena! Welcome Home is beautiful. I love hearing your plans, so thanks for sharing those and your WIPs and FFOs with us. Have a wonderful time on the cruise. I hope there are a few stitchers on there. Also thank you for the montage of Cocoa at the end. Happy Stitching!
Kaylin, thanks so much for visiting with us again! I appreciate the love for my Welcome Home by Cricket Collection. I am also hoping to meet stitchers on the cruise. I appreciate your wishing me luck in that endeavor. Happy Stitching to you for the remainder of November. Dena
Your plans are coming right alone for next year. My life is so up in the air with taking care of my mom that I might have to just make plans as I go. I'm going to work Blue Rhapsody for your birthday since I did bring it with me to NC. Thank you for sharing Coco pictures. I miss Albert so much. My son did send me a great picture of him today. Take care.
Kanday, I know you miss Albert. Your life is in a different place right now so no pressure! You do what you can when you can and enjoy your time with your mom. Dena
Thanks for the updates. I really enjoy your videos. You have inspired my own stitching lately. I have chosen 6 projects that I am spinning for daily. Only 3 may get finished by the end of 2024 but everything will definitely be closer. On my wipgo board I also wanted to include this spin for a finish square that will be these same projects on a daily spin. A daily rotation is not my usual stitching but a mostly monogamous 2024 showed me that’s not my favourite style either. Thanks for inspiring me to try something different. Pushing towards a finish!
So happy to hear you are experimenting with stitching styles so you can find the style that really makes you happy. My style has changed over the years, but I do love it when I can push a project to a finish. I had someone say they were going to repeat the 3 months to the finish line next spring because they enjoyed it so much. Sounds fun, but as you know I have made some very big plans for 2025, so I better stick to them. Dena
Thanks for the post. Your work is inspiring. I may not have the staying power after a stroke, but poking some stitches every day does make progress. Than you again.
Noreen, I think being able to stitch after a stroke is remarkable and I am so proud of you for any stitching you can accomplish. A personal triumph! Keep up the good work. Dena
Beautiful ffo and framing from Hobby Lobby. I love hearing about your plans. Stitching Day at the library sounds like it was a great success. I'm busy stitching on Turkey Day by Cottage Garden Samplings. He's a big guy, so I'm not sure he'll be done by this Thanksgiving, but I'll just keep stitching on him until he's done. Today, I'm also doing the hand stitching on a quilt I'm binding. Happy stitching! ❤
Judy, I am excited for you getting to bind your quilt. I look forward to binding my Raggedy Ann quilt soon. Good luck on finishing your Turkey Day by Cottage Garden Samplings. Dena
I picked up three framed pictures from Hobby Lobby last week. I framed three needlework pieces that I had finished stitching more than 40 years ago! One of them is a cross stitch picture of Thomas Jefferson's Monticello…it was stitched on blue fabric (about the same blue as your mat), and, I chose the same green frame that you framed your piece in! Like minds! Always look forward to your Flosstubes!
Lois, I am so excited to hear you are fully finishing your stitched pieces. I hope you liked all your framed projects. WOW, like minds on the green frame! Dena
Tina, I worked 331 stitches in her this evening, She will appear in my next video so you will get your wish. I will go ahead and send you a picture. Dena
Thanks so much for the compliments on Welcome Home by the Cricket Collection. I think it is precious. Cocoa also thanks you for the kind compliment. Dena
Another fun video as always. I really liked the different fabrics you choose. I will order a few today 😊 Im finishing my wips and starting Christmas ornaments and smalls. I like to put the ornaments on gift boxes and give smalls as stocking stuffers. Cocoa is so cute. I had 7 teacup & toy poodles. I only have 3 of the little 'herd" now. Fur babies are family and give us such joy and love. ❤ Take care. Watch out for strong winds...you've lost so much weight, you may blow away. Happy Thanksgiving to you & your family.
Carolyn, you are so kind to warn me of strong winds. LOL. I have really made a significant change in my life. I love your idea of putting the ornaments on gift boxes. I am happy you have 3 of your fur babies still with you. Give them all kisses on their forehead from Dena!
so sweet the videos of Cocoa at the end. Isn't it amazing how the color changes happened. Our Sweet girl Ari was all black and now she has silver on her hind legs and blond curly hair on the top of head LOL I stitched that Little House design YEARS ago, in a varigated pinky red color, i really need to finish it....... along with a rawer full of others LOL And YES we all need to see Donna, Miss her :)
Good news! Donna came over yesterday and we filmed about some of her finishes and her WIP. I think I have almost worn her down to doing her floss tube again. I hope she will. Dena
Hi Dena, wonderful fabrics you've chosen to stitch on. Other than blue I tend to stick to neutrals. Will pick out share my stitching for your birthday as it gets, closer, I'm not a planner! You're looking great! Happy Stitching.
Dena...thanks for sharing all that you do and plan...happy birthday a little early...your Home framing is beautiful....Cocoa is so adorable...have a great cruise...looking forward to seeing your next posting❤❤
Loretta, so happy you enjoyed the video, even with all the planning in it. I am working on another video to have it ready on Sunday or Monday, then I will be absent for a couple of weeks as I travel. Will catch up when I return! Dena
Hi Dena, always so much fun watching your videos! Another one we'll be starting in 2025 that we have in common is Isabella 's Garden. I'm thinking April as a start. See you soon! Happy stitching! Lori
Peggy, keep your fingers crossed. Donna mentioned she might get back into making videos next year. I will always love having her visit with me though. Dena
I enjoy your FlossTubes and seeing all of your stitching. I’m also very impressed by your planning! And since you asked, I’m planning a year of Long Dogs and Friends! I’ve got three Long Dogs, two that are in progress and one kitted up, plus two big ones from another designer, Historiche Stickmuster, and probably a Caroline Manning.
Joan, your stitching is intense! I so admire those of you who stitch Caroline Manning and the Historiche Stickmuster designs I have seen are beautiful, but intense with the stitching. I love my one and only Long Dog and may have to find another one in a year or so. Have a great year of Stitching these great designs. Dena
Hi Dena. I loved seeing the little montage of Cocoa. I had forgotten how dark she was as a puppy. She is just the cutest. My 2025 plans are well underway. I’ll probably do 3 WIPGO boards again with 25 new starts and then the magazine monthly challenge acrostic as well as the #24hocs one. I loved seeing all your potential starts. I am sat working on prairie schooler Santa 2013. Hoping to finish it tonight. Thanks for sharing and happy stitching. x
Susan, wow, 3 WIPGO boards. Okay I see one is all new starts, but what do you put on the other two? Is another one a focus or theme or are they random. Inquiring minds want to know. LOL. Dena
Hi Dena I love your finish on Welcome home and loved the frame and I also loved the finish also and the framing on the cute witch. They really all came out beautiful and I love the colors in both projects. As you were going through your new starts I too have playing with jacks by the cricket collection and I also have halloweenies by plum street and may do those also as a new start. My favorite designers are Stoney creek, Joan Elliott, Shannon Christine, Diane Arthurs, (just to name a few) the list goes on but no matter what I start I always will love the pattern because there are so many fantastic designs out there and there are so many new designers. That's why I love this community that enjoy the same hobby in cross stitching after all it is a form of art and what we create with our hands and create new ideas that inspire us. I always love seeing the pictures of Cocoa when she was a pup up to the present. She makes me LOL. In the meantime Happy Stitching and be safe and kind. God bless Pat
Hello Dena, it's great to see you again. I hope you are doing well. Your plans sound so fun for the upcoming year. Chris, Hildegard and myself along with a few others in our stitching library group are planning to start a Celtic Lady from Lavender and Lace on December 1st and then several of us are starting Shores of Hawk Run Hallow as our New Year starts. Along with many of us also trying to finish up Pandemic that we started this year. Lots of stitching, but lots of joy comes out of those stitches. I hope you have a wonderful vacation and enjoy your Birthday start. Happy stitching.
WOW, you guys are starting some heavy hitters. Do you know which Celtic Lady you will be starting? I have several myself, but I want to start the patriotic one first and she is fully kitted. Maybe in 2026. Have fun! Please tell Hildegard and Chris hi from Dena
@ Hildegard and I and another stitcher are starting Noel, Chris is starting Spring I believe along with another member of our small group. I can't wait to see your start. They are beautiful patterns.
Oh everything is beautiful and your new start for your sister is too cute. And love the fabrics you have chosen for it and the proceeding ones. I will have to see whatI could start, usually don’t start for my bday as can never decide if 31st or the first to start.suppose can start 2 lol oh love. The home! Love it all.
Thanks so much Cindy! You should start one for your birthday for sure! I love to do that and make a special memory for a piece that means a lot to me. Hope you are having a great month! I will be traveling again starting the 26th but I can communicate through Facebook Messenger so feel free to message me. Dena
I may need to get Playing with Jacks kitted up and join in! That chart has been in my stash for a while now! Thanks for starting your 2025 plans...always helps me get mine going as well! Enjoy your stitching! ((hugs))
Hello Dena love the ffo so cute. I cannot wait to see the Valentine piece started the fabric and floss is gorgeous. Love your birthday start. Happy stitching
Hi Dana, Thanks again for sharing your beautiful stitching! I will be starting at SAL in. December so yes I will join you for your birthday start. My birthday is also in December. Cocoa is a cutie. Glad you have another cruise coming up. Have a good week!😊🪡
Hi, Dena. Love the finishing on your Welcome Home piece. The colors and simplicity are just perfect. And I would love to join you for your birthday stitching. At the moment, I think I’ll start a Bothy Thread design called Sew It Begins. But I reserve the right to change my mind come the day. 😊
Linda, I think that will be a great design for my birthday stitch! You certainly can change your mind however should you desire to do so. Happy Stitching! Dena
Oh I love your birthday start! Rosewood Manor is one of my favorite designers too. I’ll pull out a wip (because I don’t need another start) - will let you know which one I decide on (also, in my head I thought your bday was the 13th, so I’m glad to know the truth! 😂)❤❤
I thought your welcome home finish was beautiful. Great choice on the frame. It's funny that you are planning to start Playing With Jax, because I just FFO'd mine last month. I'd like to show you the small changes I made to fit the frame I already had.😁
According to my rotation schedule, I'll help celebrate your bday by stitching Elegant Plumage by Steve Hunziker, charted by Heaven & Earth (HAED) designs. Have a wonderful trip & happy stitching!🚄
Thank you so much for even remembering me on my birthday. I hope you make great progress on your HAED Elegant Plumage. Thanks for the travel wishes as well. Dena
Hi Dena. I think your 2025 plans are great. As fast as you stitch, I am sure you will get them done. Thank you so much for showing the pictures of Cocoa. I just love seeing her. My favorites were watching her dig in the sand and after her bath with the towel wrapped around her. Maybe I missed you telling us, but is your church doing the living Christmas tree again this year? If so, are you all participating? I think it is amazing. Hope to see you soon.
Crystal, yes indeed my church is doing the Living Christmas Tree again this year. We are not able to participate this year as we will be cruising during the performances. But it should be fantastic. Dena
Dena you share a birthday with my daddy! And mine is the day after, so I’m sure I will do a birthday start along with you. Just not sure what I’m starting yet
Gin, Happy Early birthday to you! I was due around Thanksgiving my mom told me, and my Dad always said I kept him from quail hunting that year because I didn't come until December 14th. LOL. Dena
Hi Dena...love how your HOME came out, the frame and mat are perfect. Did you use the suggested fabric and threads? It's in my cart! That Coco is so darn cute!
Robin, I don't know if I used the called for fabric, but I know I got one that appeared very close from my stash. It was a really fun and quick stitch. Dena
Sarah, Lori (Once Upon a Stitch) and I are starting Isabell's Garden in April. If you want to pick a particular day in the first half of the month, I'll start it with you on that particular day. Otherwise, we can just start it whenever in April if that fits with your rotation better. YAY, join us! Dena
@ Fun! I like to work on new starts on the weekend, because that gives me a little more time on it. I can pencil this one in for April 4th, if that works for you both, but feel free to suggest a different date, if that’s better. I’m pretty flexible. 😊
So excited your going on another cruise. Will you have another video before you go. I have narrowed it down to two different patterns to work on for your Birthday. One is Christmas quaker by primrose cottage. The other is little red schoolhouse. It looks like cocos fur changes color a lot. Did he start out dk brown and just got lighter? Or does it change with the season?
Cocoa started out dark brown (hence the name Cocoa), but as she grew her first year, she slowly "silvered" (as they call it). She is now a beautiful light brown, white and spots of dark brown. She looks just like her mom. Funny thing is we got Cocoa because the family ahead of us on the list wanted a "light colored" Doodle and Cocoa was so dark as a puppy they passed over her and waited for the next litter. So we got Cocoa. Their loss. Dena
Dena...thank you for sharing your 2025 plans...hope you have a really pleasant cruise...happy birthday wishes to you....beautiful framed piece... looking forward to your next posting...Cocoa is adorable... we are so fortunate you share her with us...best wishes ❤❤
I love the frame you chose for the Home piece! I loved hearing about your plans - so many fun projects for next year. Playing with Jax was a fun stitch. Happy stitching! - TaMara

She is lovely for sure! She is my baby girl (I call her that even though she is 5 now). Thanks for visiting with Cocoa and me. Dena
Great! You and I are almost birthday twins. Let me know when you decide what you are starting. Dena
My b-day is in December as well! I'm a x-mas baby which makes me laugh because I turn 71 this year,LOL!!!! 🙂
Dena
Do you have any idea of when you’d like to start Isabella’s Garden? I have that one kitted up, too, and haven’t ever had a good excuse to start her. 😊
@@StitchinMommy April 4th works for me. I will let Lori know so she can plan her two day rotation around that. GREAT!
Dana, the picture your just picked up from the. framer (HOME) is that a Cricket Collection? I love it!
Yes, Diane, it is a Cricket Collection chart. So glad you liked it! Dena
