- This is my Dad's 69 Cougar, I took this video, thought it was great, lighting sound. Dad nailed it, we were all jumping, He did it....
Hard work and the family support and dedication. You hit the goal and then some in first outing. Suspension change really makes the car leave clean now.
Absolutely awesome!
Thank you so much for your kind words. That’s means a lot to us. I am very happy and relieved, appreciated. Like a rocket smooth launch. Stay tuned.
That Copo stood no chance against the Cleveland might 😎🏁
I didn’t even notice them, huh 🤔
Right at home. Been waiting for the "wheels up" videos. I bet you had a big ole smile on your face there!
I sure did Clintmeister, I may loosen true shocks a bit more.
Great kids! It’s great to see them supporting their dad!
It really is. They live the sites and smells at the track
Very nice 👍🏼
Thanks for all you do for us Cleveland owners and fans.
Your welcome. Keeping the cleveland alive a second at a time.
Absolutely a beast!!
Thanks Jeff, long haul for sure
Wow no wheelie. Keeping your wheels on the ground could result in winning a race.
COPO What? A Cleveland just sent ya packin
See ya later alligator
Been a "Ford" man 60+ years, that sound is good for my soul! Reminds me of taking quite a few laps in my 68 Mustang, big block tunnel port
Nice, 40 for me. That would be a fun ride with a tunnel Port. Stay Blue, stay tuned to DBG
Nice buddy , she is kicking butt brother
And enjoying every second.
Sweet man. Lots of hard work paying off
Yes sir, never give up the ship
Flying the Blue Oval baby! 💙
Awww poor camero had his bowtie clawed off 😂
Love that Mean
Cat.
Claws out, and cleaned already
😁 He sure did win! Great job Izzy. That is one fast "Cat". Thanks.
She said thanks. And it sure is 😊
Thank you for having me Ed Case Performance on your channel ....I was the trans and rear end builder on Tom BROWNS 65 falcon at the no box races in Columbus ......
Oh yeah, those were the days. I miss racing in Columbus. Lots of great memories, most racing was there. Tim Browns Brother? You’re welcome here anytime, wait until tonight’s video😊🏁🇺🇸 Ed 👍👍
Can we please end the conversations about the coyote being the "best V8 ever" . If this cleveland was put in the s550 mustang chassis with the carbon fiber mustang that set the coyote record that 2020 mustang would be in the 8s with 351 clevo power
Yep, I think they heard you. I think the Cleveland can make more HP, per ci, than the majority of engines, with similar specs.
Great. But you cut the video off too quickly. Please, repost it with at least 5 or even 10 more seconds more feed of the end. I had to replay it to see the time, 9.3 to 10.3. Yes, your dad and his '69 Cougar ate the Camaro. Nice!
You get what you get and don’t have a fit. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks.
Looks to be hooking well…
How many passes y’all get in?
2, second pass was 1.27 60
Awesome off the trailer, great running, looking car..
Have you tried X16 VP fuel, mine loved it
No Smoke don't know what it is
Good job on the win, v6 Camaro drivers everywhere are shaking in their boots.🤣 JK. Looking good out there, I'm gonna watch one more time.😎👍
May have to watch it more. No writing to read.
Little better reaction time and there would have been another car for a gap
❤
😎
Nice launch! Looks like it ran 9.30s ?
Yes it did
There are other good oxy fuels like vp c-113 that might get close enough. Not sure of your cr ratio if something like that is high enough octane. But worth a look.
Only 13.3
When talking 500+hp V8's, each point increase in compression is worth about 4% increase in power across the curve.
Compression absolutely rules!
The sweet smell of good fuel and that PoP from 13:1 + comp just brings smiles to my face!
@williamstamper442 I add another point and make 800 hp of course bigger cam
Looong way to go q16 points race night. To heavy by a ton. Be happy.
Always happy, always busy
What it run in the 1/8th and how much HP?
5.94 at 115, 769.
Literally cannot stop smiling D.B. !
Why is that leenko? Tell me all about it.
Man that thing is fast!
Man, I was thinking the same thing, 🏁
PURE AWESOME!!!
Purely
No wheelspin, almost, or possibly lifted the tire, certainly unloaded all the weight off it, all power used on forward motion. lol...1st pass in 5 years is flawless.....what do you do after that? 😆
Kudos to Izzy for the recording and opportunity to play it very slowly and savor it.
I was asking myself that same question. I guess go have fun and build the 69 Mustang of Mrs DragBoss, I need to learn a lot about sticks.
Watch again and again up loud. Just drained the Q16 and put in C12 warmed up. See if I can the difference between them.
Man great car and on song as we say in Australia 🇦🇺
Singing along just fine. Thank you mate
13:1? I must be smoking some good stuff or missed something. I thought you were 11:1?? No wheel stand. wasnt expecting that! Looks like the new springs may be working for ya!? Nice run!!
13.3, no wheel stands, I like about a foot. Loosen the shocks as I go. Thanks
Full quarter too. That's impressive
Real racing
Yep last longer than 1/8
Nothing personal against 1/8 mile venues or the racers that prefer to run at them, but 1/4 mile performance has always been the traditional measure of a vehicle’s overall acceleration potential.
Ever notice when people talk about a good eighth mile ET they always estimate what the quarter mile time would be ? That should clarify the necessity of 1/4 mile Drag Racing 🏁
@danielwilson6665 full speed ahead
Glad to see you are doing what you have been working on for now for a while now, I was told that hard work and dedication to your goal and your winning time has and will continue to get you where you want and need to be! Good morning and enjoy your Monday today!
Good morning. Yes it does John, keep doing what I have to do to finish the job 110%. Have a great day and stay safe and tuned.
@@DragBoss351Cleveland will do and I got my Cougar XR 7 running!! It isn't as pretty as yours but I being a old mechanic is working with what I have. I will keep you posted and I will stay tuned in! Good morning and enjoy your Monday.
@johnelliott7375 your work with what you got. Make it happen.
Just a tad sleepy on the tree, lol But one great run! She's a beast.
I guess not racing for 5 years affects reaction 😳
HEY !! wait till i finish my samwich >
@williemoon7522 no rush whatsoever
Your heart had to be pounding hard from excitement
@michaelclanton1152 yes it was. But have done it for 40 years so I remember enjoying it every time like the first
Well hell, I wanted to see the cougar beat the camaro, redlighting doesn't really count! I mean it's a win but you know the guy didn't want to win that way!COME ON!😏🤨🤠
What are you talking about, what red light?
Are you using the A3 heads
Yes for last 25 years
Izzy, You did good! DragBoss and Kitty, You did even better than good! Kitty's claws were sharp. No doubt. A 1.2 60ft. is diggin'! Low 9's with some massaging.
Thanks Bill as you know it was touch and go. Go ahead and back two. But eventually you get to the destination. Yes I think it may get better, but milestone for DBG and me. 😊💯👍🇺🇸🏁
Right on, I would, and do💪
There you go
Let's hear a coyote that sounds like this...
Not going to happen.
Coyote..........ain't it those little wild dogs that roam the wilderness, mostly as scavengers? ;o)=)
@@DragBoss351Cleveland exactly , these goons have no clue.
Coyotes Howl. Big Cats Roar.
@billfioretti3013 claw and bite too
What was the 60 foot
1.29
Grew up in Camaros (The old man drove almost nothing else) but man oh MAN is that generation of Cougar the sexiest beast in my eyes... Second only to a Cuda.
Thanks so much. I also love the Cuda, with shaker scoop. 67 is my favorite year Cougar.
@@DragBoss351Cleveland I agree. The '67 is the best. No side markers, no mid cycle refresh that made it look less like a muscle car, etc.
@mackmcmillan9905 agreed. I would like a nice 4 speed driver. Building my wife’s mustang now. It had a 615hp 354ci iron headed cleveland. Looking into a G Force now. Goal 10.50s.
@@DragBoss351Cleveland Holy canoli... Color me jealous! Hehe. I'm just trying to slowly get my 2002 Xtreme single cab step-side 4.3L into better shape. Bought it as a stop gap vehicle when I was between cars knowing it needed TLC on all things rubber and plastic. Still runs nicely, so no complaints overall. Uncle Sam doesn't pay us people he disables much, so going all out isn't an option!
@mackmcmillan9905 it’s a start and will get you back into it. Sounds like you served our country, thank you for that.
So the faster car won in a time trail ok, looks like Camaro had a better RT .
Camaro jumped!😢
No, he did not 🚦 red light
