I've watched several interviews of her. Anne keeps saying that Russia has said it doesn't want any negotiation/ wants to conquer all of Ukraine etc, and not one interviewer bothers to corrects her. Putin has said in a few press conferences that he is willing to halt the war if Ukraine pulls out of the four oblasts .Ofcourse Ukraine's security can't be left to the mercy of Putin, we would need to provide some guarantees to them but it is just false to say that Russians don't want to negotiate.
I learn much from reading and listening to Anne Applebaum. Timely education.
