tried this a million different times over the past couple days with other walkthroughs and couldn't get it done. You're video was perfect and I'm playing now!
How did you get EverDrive GB X7 to work perfect on Analogue Pocket? I get “SD IO error disk write error” screen when launching different ROM or make settings changes.
Cheers for the vid. Well timed as my X5 Mini arrived in the UK from Everdrive in Canada yesterday - 6 days from ordered to arrival which is crazy good. GB, GBC and GBA run very well on my GBA and so far, everything looks great. I cannot get pocketnes working at all, however. I just get a black screen. I haven't used the Windows application to build a ROM menu as it should work without doing this and of course, you show this to be true. If this black screen sounds familiar to anyone, I'd appreciate some help to resolve. Cheers again.
Nice review, keep up the good job! Analogue is releasing Pocket Adapter Pack that support TurboGrafx-16, PC Engine & SuperGrafx Adapter, Neo Geo Pocket Color Cartridge Adapter, Atari Lynx Cartridge Adapter and also I see there is a Game Gear Cartridge Adapter on the official website. Do I need to buy all these adapters if I get my analogue pocket unlocked? Thanks.
You only need those adapters if you want to play those original cartridges. If you use the open FPGA cores you just need an SD card with the rom files.
Now that the update came and you're able to run the games through the micro SD card with openFPGA, is there any practical reason to use these now? Because I know you are not able to run save states on flash cartridges, but at the same time, you are limited on filter options with the openFPGA.
There are pros and cons to each method but with the price and lack of availability of flash carts these days, it’s nice to finally have a more cost effective option even with the caveats. Flash carts are still amazing for original hardware.

I heard the „sleep“ function doesn‘t work with flash cards, is that true?
