Thanks for the well done video and also thanks for the asbestos warning! I immediately looked into how to find my county's property records since I'm a renter and don't trust my landlord to provide accurate info. I hadn't known that asbestos was used in popcorn ceilings - great info. Thanks again!
Amazon sells Asbestos kits for testing. You send it out to a lab, they send the results back to you. Takes about 3 days once they get it. I think it's like 35-40$ or so.
Wow thank goodness my sister and I were too lazy to smooth out our popcorn ceiling when we were kids. She got the idea when we had bunkbeds and she was high enough to remove some of it.
Great job! I never knew that asbestos was used in popcorn ceilings! Yikes!😬 Could you all show if there is a way to eliminate or tone down meringue ceilings? The tips are too long and catch everything. So challenging to clean, especially in the kitchen! Thanks!
First things first. The paint and primer all in one. How much primer is in the paint? Actually there is no primer in the paint. It's just a thicker paint. To get this job done quicker I wouldn't use a squirt bottle. I would use a paint sprayer. If the popcorn hasn't been painted it will turn brown like a paper bag. If it has been painted you might want to switch to hot water. Also I use a 6-ft pole with a drywall knife on it. Walk and scrape
I think it depends on the thickness of popcorn and what is underneath of the ceiling.. We tried one room to remove popcorn ceiling, followed not only this video, but others, too. It was NOT easy as described, took a few days for one room with different tools etc. we could not remove like this and we just gave up. It would take a month. Also we found that underneath of popcorn was not drywall, and it’s cement. Our popcorn was very thick and hard! It sounds and looks very easy, but not ours.
This is not realistic based on my experience. It does not come off in sheets down to bare sheet rock like this video. It comes unevenly and will require joint compound and sanding before painting. It’s a much more difficult and messy project.
How to get rid of mice completely due to construction in our neighborhood close to colder weather. Neighboring business Contractor Digging up grounds where mice was present and scattered into surrounding neighborhood.
well i suggest you get some mouse traps for catching them , or you can use mouse catching glue and cardboard to catch them. Both the aforesaid methods require little amount of food to act as a bait. Alternatively you can bring a stray cat to your home, they are experts at the job. Hope this helps solve your issue.

Wow, super helpful! You made this job seem so easy. Love to see more videos.
👍It's a delicate process that requires good techniques and tools

Can we use this for walls as well? What do I need to keep in mind before doing this?
Great demonstration!!! Thank you

Nice video
Would you still have to test the popcorn ceiling if the home was built in 2008?
Thank you for the tips.
Anytime, Renee! 💙

Looks less threatening than I thought it would.

Ours does. Are you wetting it enough?
