Your welcome man, thanks for putting up with the sub pa production value of this, hopfully you coukd get past it. This was one of the early videos. I standby these frames though, i absolutely love them for big wheeling. I think 80mm is the sweetspot as you can still do more "urban / aggressive" oriented tricks. The frames make an awesome sound on grinds too if you can bare to scratch off the coloured finish!
I have the FR UFR AP boot and looking to get these frames, they have a xl 280mm frame now and my boot is the 45-46EU, would you recommend 270 or 280mm? I'm planning to get another frame for grinding, but also looking at doing ramps/gaps (exactly what you were doing in the video)? thanks
I know this is an old video but I wanted to know if you needed to do any modification to fit the 80mm wheels on a Salomon boot? I know some larger wheel frames require a bit of fettling to fit bigger wheels. My buddy had to do some dremelling on his Razor SL to fit the 72mm Oysi frames. I have a set of Salomon Rob Thompson I am considering getting some HD80 for them as I would rather use my aggressive boots over buying some Freeskates. I just don't want to have to start cutting and filing my beloved Salomon.
I'm not a fan of shorter frames tbh. I have the 243mm stock frames of my RB Cruisers and find them way too short and unstable for my foot size UK11. The sharp turns are really fun though
Hi there I'm currently looking for these frame, I'm just not sure about which size should I order.. I got EU45 boot size, but I want sharp moov and turning so I lean to the 243mm, but my foot size make me hesitate.. Any advice? Thx :)
I almost ordered the 280 size but stay by the 270. My frames are 273(RB X5). I hope i will get "THEM" fast! :D Already have the new white spinner wheels and ilq7 bearings. I will use them with a M12 NJ. ;) Nice vid! Thx for the infos! See ya!
@@chrischadwick1 Last day i get it. :D also build it.Tomorrow i wil post the pic,but no roll yet thx for 2 injury. :( Maxbe just a round. :D I just added u on insta. :)
You can definitely do Wizard moves in these frames but ideally you want a rockered frame for more control and maneuverability. Check out my reviews of the Rockin Frames for more info... ua-cam.com/video/WfoXX7AD-M4/v-deo.htmlsi=0QH1QgZUl54b4axP
Yo, so thats just my opinion as the frames are tall and the carbon boot is pretty low cut. My brother has just bought sone big wheel frames for his carbons though and loves em. I guess it comes down to personal preference. You definitely could skate them and im sure it would be fine, but if you want better ankle support i would look for a different boot.
Very informative and thorough analysis! Keep making more videos! 👍
Thanks for watching man, appreciate it! 😁
So stoked to get mine this week
Great review. Thanks for posting this, was looking at these frames earlier and I think I'll be getting them now.
Thanks man, happy you found it helpful 👍
That shirt matching the set up nicely 👌👌👌
Thank you for this. Have been curious about this frame for a while now. Might just get some in red or black for my 909s.

Did you end up getting them? I’m thinking about getting these for my 909s as well.
Love your ST8 setup, great looking skate.
Thanks man, pretty happy how they turned out 🤙
Thanks for the video Chris. I'm on the fence about getting these for my aggressive skates so its good to see them being field tested.
No problem glad it was informative. Hopfully will get some more reviews out soon too 👍
Great review, thanks!

Hey mate, no problem. I always try to reply to every comment. Yeah they fit perfectly with no mod needed 👍
Hi!... So, having tried the 270mm wheelbase, do you think you would have preferred the shorter 240mm option instead?

Good review!
Thanks bro. This was one of the first vids I ever made! Glad it was helpful 😀
How do you think this would do on a seba CJ boot? (No soul plate)
I've not tried that setup but I'm sure it would work great 👍

Can I use these on the shima reissue as it has a build in raised heal does that matter ?
Would these be good for wizard?

very helpfull. thanks.
so carbon free boot would not be the very best fit, true?
