WOW!!! I still remember my kindergarten teacher Mrs Mumma. I remember the walk from 625 Heidel Ave to the elementary school. I transferred to the Wapakoneta School system after second grade.
I attended Lincoln in 85 and 86 where lived a block away on Kibby. I am currently looking for that old house on maps but couldn't remember the address so I looked up the school. Thank you for putting this together. I felt I was home for a few
Drove past many times. Schooled in Mt Corey. Got kicked out. By coach berry. 3 month before graduation. like your song. never looked back. You are lucky to have the chance to get that sheep skin. I worked at the army center at reed-shawnee Road for 18 years. Never looked back. G.E.D. loved to visit LIma and live there at least one weekend a month. Go LIma!
I grew up on Atlantic Ave a couple of blocks from Lincoln. Lived there from 1969 till graduated from Lima Sr. and moved out of state. This really brings back memories. It's been sad when I visited Lima and the old buildings were gone! Thank you for posting.
Jlinn Henline If this is Jenny I grew up just down the street from you on Atlantic and was ABSOLUTELY in love with you. I was probably a good six or seven years younger than you😊
Really brings back real old memories. I went to the old Lincoln school 46-49. The new Lincoln 50-51. It was built on The Kibby street playgound, which went from Kibby St. to Hog Creek. I think they started work on Senior High while I was in the sixth grade. Started 10th in 55 when it opened and graduated in 1958. Went by there two years ago while visiting and it's all gone! Kinda sad!
Hey how are you.. Yeah this is Hargis my old name. Wow time has flew by.. When you said you had a sister in the comments named Roxie. Yeah this must be Tony.. I still remember going to the carnivals they used to have at Lincoln those were fun times...
Junior Alsept I’m good Jr. Hope all is well with you and family. Most of my best memories are from Lincoln and that neighborhood. We grew up good over there didn't we.😊
Anyone remember officer Meijer and the little bicycles to teach us how to cross streets & such safely? oh!! and Pepsi tennis!! anybody remember that? we would play it at Lima senior parking lot over the summer. that was some fun stuff man!!
I remember him. School safety officer. He would sometimes bring a traffic light into the class to teach children about what the different colors of the traffic light meant. Pleasant man.
I went to Lincoln K-6th 1985-1991 and South Junior and then Middle School- 7&8. I loved Lincoln and the teachers. Mr. Snook was still there when I was there. I wasn’t a fan! 🤣
My father went to this school in the late 1930s and early 40s. He was born in 1932. Today I found a picture of a group of boys at the school and he could name quite a few in the picture.
I just came across this video and think it's awesome! I'm 33 years old and from (and still currently live in) Lima, OH. I remember the old elementary buildings quite well - I loved their designs, I HATE the new schools. Even though I went to Irving elementary, not Lincoln, I loved this! Thanks for uploading this!
Weirdly O.C.D. Thanks for watching Mr. OCD. Glad you enjoyed. Couple other vids on my channel featuring old Lima Photos. Please check em out and let me know what ya think. Beat to ya.
Ha!! I attended Lincoln elementary School k through 6th grade. wasn't always easy but was kind of fun sometimes. the bicentennial celebration was hysterical. *Snicker* I lived across the lower playground, old Lima senior parking lot and across the alley. that's how close I was to the school. Well darn it I went to South Junior high and Lima senior hahaha!
