I love the fact that Chanel Reissue bag is discreet because people who collects bags/Chanel will certainly know it is Chanel! It is great not to attract unwanted attention from pickpocket or such while travelling too! And how fascinating to know that Reissue was designed by Coco Chanel herself! 💕

Hi Minnie! Great video and I love that you're loving this beauty. I have mine in 227 ghw which I'd bought about two years ago. I knew about the huge discount on the resale value however I still went for it as I felt it suited my lifestyle better. The winning points for me are the bag is lightweight comparitively, I love its aged calf leather and I just feel that it is a class by its own ❤. And yes my heart still sings whenever i see it...

It's a gorgeous bag. I love how understated and versatile it is. Whilst I love my jumbo, if I ever had to sell it I wouldn't buy another one, I would look at a preloved reissue, or a vintage vertical single flap jumbo instead. The are so beautiful and different. I am a big fan of understated yet different when it comes to high end bags.
I agree with you i own 225 in caviar for 6 years and its never gone out of style i use it the most out of the bags i have and definitely no cons on the reissue and i am getting the mini(224) and i am sure i will love it!!! 226 is still on my wish list!!! just the right one and color still has not come just yet :) anyways your review is very clear and honest which i love!!!

I love the reissue, just wish they have more colors available all the time. It's a bag I can take to grocery shopping or take to my mother-in-law's house, go out with my kids or to my new friend's dinner at home.... without being too flashy and awkward

Is it me or does anyone else love the sound the chain makes as it passes through the grommet ? LOL I went out and bought this from Chanel on Madison in the SO BLACK and it is one of my most favorite bags ....light as a feather ....glad you reviewed this ..I agree with everything you said .... as for the bottom Coco wanted it to be “sac” like according to Chanel and they DONT recommend stuffing it but I do ..but when it naturally sags its nice ....and ooooh that sound of the chain lol

My very first Chanel bag was a black 227 with RHW that I bought in Paris. At the time, it was my most expensive bag at about $2800 (2008)! I was terrified of using it, and also of wearing it too much because I’ve seen used bags lose their structure and become very squishy looking (the folded areas don’t help). I ended up selling it to buy a Maxi, which was sold to buy a Jumbo. I still wonder if I should have kept or not!
I feel the same, I was so unsure at first if I was going to get the reissue. So glad I did. Love the chain, how understated it is, but yet so classy.
I love this bag. But I would go for the ruthenium hardwire.

Love my reissue so much😘. Same as you I love it more than my m/l and my jumbo. I found that the jumbo still fits more than reissue. Maybe I'm too scared to "flat" the bottom of my brand new reissue which is really stiff. It's not easy to fold. Anyway, reissue is my most used bag too😉.

I love my luxury handbags! I have always been a huge fan of the Chanel re-issue! BUT I will never ever ever ever ever spend $6200 on one bag! I envy those who can afford it but that is just not my lifestyle. Enjoy that beauty!
as Minnie said the reissue does not hold its value as well as other chanel bags so you could get it in great condition for a lot less!

Isa Wesolowski yes Chanel replaces the hardware. I sent my Reissue in, it came back yesterday. They changed all of the hardware and I had to pay 145,00 €. My bag looks like new again..
What do you do when the hardware tarnishes?

Hey Minnie!!! I heard there was a difference in the quality of the LV Key cles....the ones made in America are more rounded at the bottom...and have more issues then the ones made in France...I just ordered one from LV, praying that its made in France...
hey check the stitches of the key cles too. I bought a LV key cles which was made in America few months ago. When you open the key cles, you can see the floor through the gap of each stitches on the bottom of the key cles. The stitches of the made in America one is less stitch counts compared with the one which was made in France or Spain. So I returned mine right away. Check it out in person then you will know what I mean.

I really regret not buying this Chanel reissue bag last year in black with bhw or the green with ghw. My main focus was the jumbo, and now this bag is sold out in both colors.

Berna niebres i agree with Minks. I own both and...Although the Jumbo holds more resal value,my preferred bag is the reissue. The jumbo can get super heavy if you carry alot and is a odd length to crossbody (if that’s something you are hoping to do). I love the reissue for its lightweight feel and versatility 👍🏻.
Berna niebres reissue for sure. Jumbo is beautiful but it is incredibly heavy even when it’s empty. Mine kills my shoulder after a short time carrying it but my reissue is so comfortable and I have the 227 which is close in size to the jumbo.

Just in case anyone out there is interested, I was in the Amsterdam boutique last Saturday the new increased price on this baby is €6850! And they had none gold hardware bags in stock whatsoever! My SA strongly recommended me this bag in year 2014, back then I thought it looked too aged…….. now I am so into it, but can no longer afford it.
I read chanel will not service a bag that you do not have a receipt for or that they can prove you bought it at a boutique. My SA said the reissue hardware really loses its color especially the gold but Chanel will replace so I wonder if its true that they won’t if its bought second hand? I searched the preloved reissues and they still are over $4000 and a lot of them have really lost their structure.
Jbv65 You can take it to the bag spa for it, but I believe you’re right, a proof of purchase is needed. Then again, I hear people who have their bags serviced without the receipt so who knows, maybe it’s a case by case scenario. I wonder too so I’ll have to ask the SA on this and report back :) Agreed, some on the Preloved market are slouchy, that’s why it took me so long to find one ☺️💕

I saved up money for a few months to buy a ZP, but it got scratched on the third day. I cried so much, and then my boyfriend bought me a bag from LYXBAG for me to carry alternately. Anyway, there are so many bags on the street, so as long as others can't see it, I think it's fine. The thought is there.
