Massive Baroness fan, since the beginning. Huge fan of John, too. Got to meet him, after a show like 10-11 years ago, in Spokane, WA. Drove over 14 hrs (30, round trip) to see them. It was just over a year after the wreck. They played an amazing set, but the crowd sucked. Most people left after the shitty ass cookie cutter band that undeservedly got to open for em. Me & my buddy were up front raging our drunk asses off. I’d gotten a shirt made that said, “Till the Wheels Fall Off”, echoing John’s undying commitment to keep the band going. He’d say that at the end of blogs/letters to us fans. Didn’t seem to go over too well, though haha. I think I maybe came across as some sort of kiss ass/trying too hard. Which is definitely a misrepresentation of who I am. I didn’t take it personally, though. Guess it did prob seem a bit hardcore fanboy. And still, nothing but respect & admiration for him. Everyone else, too.
