Thanks, Jamie! Perfect timing for this series, and great information. I'm at the advertisement browsing, but not knowing what else to do stage right now. Definitely looking forward to parts 2, 3 and 4!
After tons of research and going back and forth on my perfect airplane, I am finally a first-time airplane owner. Couple of weeks to finish the annual and upgrade some avionics and a 1980 Mooney M20J will be in my hangar. Thanks Jason for all the awesome advice on such a wide range of topics, this one included.
How much would a Boeing 727 100 cost from United or American cost and how much would maintenance cost without upgrading i like how it was when I took my first trip on one im 1984 how much would storage cost
You really know how make a great video, Jamie! Very informative. I'm going to think harder about the LLC option in advance of the fun part. Looking forward to episodes 2 through 4.
I'd love to hear more about buying in the current market. Seems like aircraft market resembles the housing market, bring more cash than asking price and skip all inspections... Or someone else will get it from under you.
Thanks for sharing your wisdom and experience, Jamie. And you do it in such an entertaining way. I may just have to go out and buy another airplane.....Just kidding I know the family CFO will not release the funds. HAHA
Great timing for me as well I just passed my written test and I’m looking for a partnership I am in the Punta Gorda airport location and I appreciate these videos they come in handy in a very informative thank you.
Jamie … this video could not have come at a better time as I am plane shopping now. Owning a plane to me is equivalent to owning the Mercedes, BMW’s, Porsche’s I have in the past. In other words, expensive ticket items are expensive to maintain it’s the nature of the beast. I have redirected my priorities and instead of another expensive car am deciding to buy a plane. But if I tell my buddies I am buying a BMW, they give me high fives and congratulations, tell them I am buying a plane and they think I am crazy. Some Instructors I have met concur, why do you want that headache. With all this negativity, am I missing something?
Hi Jorge! You gotta do what works best for you! Just make sure you know what you are getting into whether you buy a car or a plane! Thanks for watching!
The most important thing you can do is do NOT get a pre-buy. Then hire me as your A&P after you’ve bought it. I’m in a lot of debt and need a hangar queen to pay the bills! (Just kidding get a pre-buy)

Great video - Just keep in mind that LLC’s aren’t bulletproof. You can still be held personally responsible depending on the circumstances.
Good tip! Thanks for watching, Nick!

$5 fee to register an airplane! So cheap. I'm sure there are still people out there complaining about the cost.
It is indeed cheap! Thanks for watching, Jeff!
