Trying to decide on the Big boy or Gomboy. I just want to be able to process fire wood to keep a fire going in the bush for a week. What one do you recommend for this? Appreciate the help!! 🎉😊
@Gordon87Gekko I think it depends on how large the general trees are in your area. Personally, if it is mainly for firewood that you are splitting down and assuming the trees/ branches are not more than 6", I think the Gomboy is enough and more portable. However, the Big Boy will cut through probably about 30% faster but is more expensive and larger. Hope that helps.

I have the Silky Big Boy AND the Gomboy. Excellent saws!! Personally, I don’t think the Big Boy would be necessary; I don’t see a reason to need to saw a log that big. It would be too heavy 2 move 🤔
I have a silky ryoba and a nata. I was disappointed when then dropped their larger folding saws. It seems their going for a niche market rather than carpentry.

I have the Gomboy Outback and absolutely love it!! The blade differs from their others for particular use on dried wood or bone.
