This is also a historical realism mod...Because real medieval factions also used to do their equivilent of trolling and shit posting, which often descended into hectic clan battles.
And towards the end he kinda cracks a joke toward them acting as if these battles and shit talking would be recorded in a catalog, but he just recorded it, and if this really blows up for a long time, this would be early lore. But idk.
Nice way to excuse shitty toxic gamer behavior.

To me, the drama is a huge part of this and i'd say one of it's strengths sense it adds context to conflicts. You are fighting people because of what they have done and not just because they are the other team. History starts to develop.
I haven't played so maybe it's different here but to me, the drama is the point having the world be persistant.
Conflict and reasons for fighting are cool but when people take it too far and start doing toxic shit like doxxing, ddos'ing, offline capping, stock wiping and otherwise ruining the gameplay and detracting from the fun giant battles then it just breaks it, it's why the mod has some bad history but the potential has always been huge.

@@patrick24085 In well moderated games I have played, yes, they do. My point is this game could improve in that aspect.
Edit: Didn't realise the attention my comment would get so thank you. From my understanding the outlaw faction is unchanged and moderation is still non-existent. The economy is dwindling due to craftmen and serfs being killed, so shops have very low to zero stock of food and gear. This lead to clan's members leaving as they don't want to do serf and craft jobs. An unfortunate consequence of the rampant rule breaking. I hope the situation changes but I don't see it happening.
As someone who's played this mod and has had very Poor experiences with it, I want to give some pointers about the mod. For reference I was a solo player and all my issues are based on this.
1-Do not stay playing solo long term, Outlaw squad ganks are more common than oxygen in the air. You will constantly be harassed, unlawfully assault, stolen from and murdered.
2-If you're playing solo, join a faction as fast as possible. You can't be squad ganked if you're in a squad.
3-Never leave anything alone/unprotected. (E.G. wagons, horses, crops.) As anyone can just walk up and take it. Including yourself.
Server's are either not moderated or have very poor moderation. So unless you're in a big clan/faction expect no punishments for rule breakers.
With that said I can see potential and hope that they either start actual moderating and punishing blatant rule breaking to allow solo and smaller squads to play freely without being abused by these quite toxic practices. When I wasn't being constantly screwed over it was an enjoyable experience.

@@andreasottohansen7338 Pretty much, but the problem is more to do with how the economy of this mod works (if it hasn't changed since I played). If serfs keep dying things like food and weapons don't get produced. The stores current passive item restock speed is okay because of the low player count. If the servers were constantly half full and this behaviour wasn't punished then players would literally be dying in the streets of starvation and fighting bare handed on foot.
funnily enough whenever Okkoi streams is the most safe time to do serf work as most of the server is dealing with the mass influx of players. From what I've read of the comments as well people are already taking advantage of Okkoi's streams to grind serf work for money and gear. I would as well but the streams have all been at like 2-3am for me.
I really wish solo gameplay was a lot better. I quite frankly do not want to sign on with clans as most of them are always locked in some incredibly toxic rivalries.
the bandits are allowed to rdm without repercussion, however only they can begin the engagement. So, you know, the most important aspect of strategy in human history (the ability to pick your fights as you please) belongs only to bandits. It seems a good rule of thumb is to join a bandit gang and never anyone else under any circumstances, ever
@louisryan5815 couldn't have said it better myself, the mod heavily leans into group actions over individual actions. However I have seen some factions kill outlaws on sight if seen near their towns or villages. If this became common place rather then random altruism from players the mods appeal to solo players would rise ten fold as would the economy due to serfs being some what protected by the factions.

As someone who loves big pvp battles like in gw2 wvw or planetside 2 f.e. this looks insanely fun
I just hope they keep some op units that can take on aim botters. Part of what made planetside 2 great is even if someone aimbotting health pool in something like Max made it so you could still push out and hold points against cheaters. C4 was the counter for maxes but aim betting does nothing to help lol 😆. Design game in mind cheating will happen is best advice I can give devs pursuing gametype of ps3

It's mods like this that show just how fun Mount and Blade is with hundreds of players all duking it out in glorious combat. Nothing says medieval mayhem and fun like engaging in a siege battle with hundreds of players on both sides. Good thing there aren't any trebuchets or catapults that can wipe out dozens of players in a single shot... yet.
well... I am not sure if the last part was sarcasm, but at that point in time the mod had catapults with graoeshot/fire pot ammunition which could kill a lot of people in one shot.
@@kongou1912 It wasn't, I knew something like catapults would come to the game, I just didn't know if they were already in the game and when they would arrive if not. This just means the question is over on whether armies can get whole sections of players deleted from one or two shots from something like this.
@@inductivegrunt94 for a few months, all sieges revolved around catapults cause they were too powerfull.
around 2 weeks ago they got nerfed pretty hard (they can still destroy siege engines and walls but their damage to players was decreased).
@kongou1912 Shame, but balancing is important so I understand the damage nerf to players. At least they are still very powerful as they should be against players.

This mod is like my childhood dream coming to fruition, but I've seen your streams. One time you and your clan spend 5 hours farming and woodcutting for 30 minutes of siege. Sadly that's a lot of boring off-time for a little bit of fun.
UA-cam algorithm go up pls; I really like this video and what it portrays, and I think that it gives a good example of the good things to come from TW’s popular hit game “Bannerlord.” I like turtles and they are my favorite animal. However, people seem to think turtles are dogs for some reason and I don’t understand why. Please don’t explain why to me, as I don’t really care, but this offers a complex conundrum that I find difficult to solve. Due to contradictory statements and the detrimental effects that they have on the brain, I must now draw my comment to a close. Stay healthy out there fellow flesh suits, because if your flesh suit isn’t healthy then the jelly fish pilot will find it hard to survive. Remember, you have to have proper nutrition and exercise in order to create mental and physical fortitude. I really like pizza though so sometimes this is hard for me. Anyways, algorithm go “Eee-Errr.”

I'm not gonna lie this seems fun on paper but in reality you probably have to sink like 50 hours into this to get like 2 hours worth of actual good content
No need for 50hrs, you can get a proper amount of money just by serfing//crafting for a few hours. There are wars every single day and many big clans taking part in most of them.
Ye you only need to farm resources for like 1-2hours to earn some gold and then you can go and do shit. You can also just ask players for a bit of money when you are new.
It takes like 2 hours of serfing it up to get some decent gear lol
A lot of people only hop on for wars. If you're in a faction you'll get messaged so if all you want are these types of wars you can just get online then.
That's still way less than gearing up in some games

It was so worth playing. After 1 hour into the game i got killed 5 times by different people who all wanted to make me believe they have weapons that would heal me which I obviously didnt believe after the first time, however didnt stop them from killing me

This looks really neat, but the hundreds of huge faction icons are really off putting to me. Can you toggle those off? Is it nigh impossible to tell friend from foe if you do? I wish there was a better way.
You could turn that off yes, and most of the time factions have their own uniforms which would make it possible to tell freind form foe in this situation.

I recall playing multiplayer on the previous games when they first came out, just a bunch of peasants throwing rocks at eachother the occasional player who did play allot in full armor and on a horse even to then have them being pelted by rocks and horse stolen..

Brings me memories of playing Warband persistent empires, not knowing what to do and somehow ending up as a naked German longbowman invading Spain. I even got a headshot first volley somehow so what luck.

they update it pretty frequently so you have to reinstall it after every update also make sure its enabled in the launcher

@@felino2117 when I launch that game with the mod, it does not load correctly, and it won't even let me play. But on the mod list is has the yellow and red circle with the lime through it on "I can't remember what those are called" I have tried everything to try to fix this and nothing worked sadly

I've never played Bannerlord and looking for new multiplayer game, this may be it. Unfortunately, I learned almost nothing from this video. I don't know how this works, do you have your own regiments or just players? Do you own land? Keeps? Clans? How the server works? I know there is a map mode and battle mode. How this works together in real time? Very little info here
Player driven world, no ai. You own castles/settlement as it shows on the map clip as clans and factions, the server has it’s own rules for engagement, there is no map phase it’s just a real time open map you are in, in third person.
