Gary did a fantastic job in demonstrating the new features, I would also like to thank Chris and Ben for great questions that made a lot of things very clear. Awesome!

Thanks for a very interesting vodcast learning more about the history of HecRAS and the new version. I have been working with it during X-mas holiday and it is really nice. Looking forward to next vodcast!!!

I feel very fortunate to watch and listen to the great people who worked behind the HEC-RAS software along with their experience in the development.
I have a query while using latest version of the software (Ver 6.0 Beta)
While generating Terrain using RAS Mapper I find the error massage as
    "
    Importing 1 of 1: salt city eg.tif -> Terrain.salt city eg.tif
Step 1 of 4: Translating to GeoTiff and reprojecting...
ERROR 1: Translating source or target SRS failed:
Step 1 of 4: Translating to GeoTiff and reprojecting... | 0
Error creating Terrain: C:\Users\3700\Desktop\HecRasNew\Terrain\Terrain.salt city eg.tif: No such file or directory
    Cleaning up files..."
It will be great if you could help me in resolving the error message.
    Thanks in advance!

Where can one turn to find Curve Numbers that represent only pervious land cover? My understanding is that the standard NRCS CN tables do not represent only pervious land cover.

Chris and Ben are late to come out, Need to add ModelMuse, Still it is not equal to InfoWorks ICM, Excellent video .Gary Brunner is Master

ICM is a diff animal, but its mesh properties are really limited. RAS is still a superior, open channel software

I am trying with HEC-RAS 6.0 beta 3 recently, I opened a project which was created and successfully run in RAS 5.05, but it cannot be run in beta3. I uninstalled Beta 3 and try to run the same project with 5.05, and no problem happens, it seems like that Beta 3 of 6.0 is not so Stable, I didn't try with the first beta of 6.0 yet, but is this because of the new solver you guys mentioned? hope you guys can try the new beta one with the old models that were already built. thank you so much.
the function of modeling a bridge directly in a 2D model is really amazing.

Could you explain the order of cell enforcement with 2D bridges? breaklines>refinement regions>bridges? which overrides which?

    • @gwbrunner

THe bridge structures Centerline can be used as a breakline. So you do not put in a separate break line or refinement region here. Just the bridge centerline, then enforce that like a breakline. I discuss this in the 2D manual.

@@gwbrunner Thanks Gary, yes i read the manual but it still does not explain order of influence and if it acts as the inline structures in the previous version where a regeneration of a mesh or addition of nearby breakline/refinement region will throw off the visual alignment. Are you saying regardless the bridge will not be influence by these factors?
