I hate to say it but having two parents is best. I had 2 parents growing up and a grandmother and my life was so secure. I didn't even know what insecurity was and we were just middle class immigrants. My dad died when I was 14; my grandmother (my dad's mom) returned to Spain. My sister and I were then raised by my single mother who had never worked a day in her life. I've watched Kobe ever since his rookie year. Kobe is such an intelligent human being... It is such a big lost to lose Kobe... Still can't believe his gone. Heart is broken
kobe always came across as intelligent and wise beyond his years as soon as he came into the league, i couldn’t believe that was a 17 year old when he was being interviewed after being drafted, i remeber that draft well
Kobe Lived his life to the fullest. He achieved a lot more than an average human being could wish for. "And in the end it's not the years in the your life that counts; it's the life in your years." My heartfelt condolences to the Bryant Family. May his beautiful Soul Rest In Eternal Peace..
Beautiful interview! Even at a young age you can see he is a very intelligent young man with a good head on his shoulders. Isn’t fazed by answering difficult questions and is very well spoken. Just from watching this you could already tell Kobe had a very bright future. And the rest was history......Rest easy KOBE😥💔💔🙏🏾🙏🏾
For such a time as this. We would not have learned how to live life to the fullest if he was still here. He ran his race and finished with a crown of glory that would not have surface to the mass of he was still alive. For God's purpose. To show us how to live to our full potential. He still lives, no longer in physical body but in spirit.
He didn't age at all since then because some people go through puberty very fast and their development peaks(Voice, Height, and Mental capacity). This is why he was 6 feet 6 inches at 17 and was still 6 feet 6 inches when he was 41. At 17 he had already reached the peak for adulthood. He was basically in a late 20's early 30's year old body at the age of 17 and this is why his physical and mental state did not change from back then to 41. Also one of the reasons why he did so well in school(Imagine someone in his 30s going to high school... it would be a cake walk for most 30 year olds). So everything peaked pretty early for him (Intelligence, Height, voice) which is very fascinating. The true aging process with him was going to happen when he would have reached his 60's and 70's, which sadly, we will never see.
I have never followed kobe Bryant or gAve any thought to him till his passing. I can't believe how humble he is and what a beautiful man he is and shall always be. God bless kobykm
Him and 2Pac reminded me of each other so much both physically and mentally. They were both very special human beings, not many 17yr olds could speak like this at that age, they both could
All I can see with tears in my eyes is a kid with so many dreams..so so sad...I never followed his career but I have to say after watching his interviews on UA-cam he just shines. God bless him Gianna and his daughters and family left behind
My heart goes out to his parents...they must be in shock and knowing that they will never be able to reconcile with him and move forward in life with love for each other.
RAIN DROPS we saw greatness in him before his death actually. He’s a five time champion. We saw the greatness in him since day 1. He was loved before and after his death. He’s not one of those people who died then got loved. He was already loved before his death. He walked around LA and Orange County with NO security and nobody would touch him or even bother him with his kids. True fact.
I wish we would embrace his parents more. Yes they had a rift some years ago... however, looking at this interview. I realise what an amazing job his family did!!! This is where Kobe's greatness derived from. Yes Vanessa is a wonderful wife and mother to his beautiful daughters. But she was NOT the root of him. He was an amazing and great ball player before he ever met her!! Hence this video.
Exactly. It’s no accident that he as a black man turned out to be a prodigy and well-articulated from a young age without a solid father that raised him well. We don’t know what happened between him and Vanessa but I wished they repaired those wounds and lived happily
That letter got me!!! 😢😥😢💔 I have been strong up to this point. He spoke nothing but truth about Kobe. The beautiful thing about this is that Kobe must have kept these words close to his heart because he was all those things. Praying for his family! Especially Vanessa 🙏🏾
Kobe Bryant was like a true masterpiece to the NBA as I do miss him a lot, being alive before his death in the helicopter crash, like true Lakers fans do.
Kobe was so blessed man. He already knew his worth at the age of 17. A lot of people have a hard time finding themselves and their passion in life. Much respect to his parents, the foundation to a Legend.
The love and admiration that he had for his parents is touching. I believe it had to be difficult that his relationship with them went sour but that is why he put so much energy into loving his own children.
Aint Tellinu , his obsession for curiosity actually created his open mindedness of reassessing his parents’ ideologies that were already established in their household. To his parents, he was going to remain the “young Kobe”; however to him, it was time to move on and be unsentimental.
Everytime I watched this man I cried. He was such an amazing husband, father and a son. He's such a inspirational man. May he and all the other victims rest in peace 😭🙏

Also sorry to tell you that I am secure in my relationship with God and clearly you are not. I don't need to tell other people how to have their relationship with God. Sad you still haven't come to terms with your own beliefs but still push them onto other people.
@@chinua_hwa186 you are crazy
I've watched Kobe ever since his rookie year. Kobe is such an intelligent human being... It is such a big lost to lose Kobe... Still can't believe his gone. Heart is broken
A teen that Actually Listens and Takes Your Advice Is Unreal He has a Teachable Spirit Wise Beyond His Years !!
oh lord he was so handsome and sweet , when he was younger. i just loved him so so much..
It amazes me as a seventeen-year-old kid to have that knowledge about life so young he was destined to be a legend
I don’t get too emotional often but I lost it the moment he read that letter. 😭
Melvin Del Rosario Thank you 🙏🏾 I’m the young man who wrote it, he meant a great deal to me 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
jarid gibson wow 😨
You and me both!
Melvin Del Rosario I know it hurts
Jarid Gibson. That was an unbelievably well written letter and you nailed every aspect of Kobe’s future. Bravo !!
He was such a phenomenal speaker at a young age 💜💛
And English was his second language! And he admittedly had trouble with it. Genius.
Aamir Khan love that guy when he passed on the world felt it, it was as if the world came to a stop 💜💛
What a tragic loss. Still cant believe he’s gone.
Best thing about Italy "people care about family values" soooo true
Kobe by the fire place," the most interesting man in the world "
rofl
I needed this thanks
J Dolo make it happen I’ll buy it
J Dolo thx man! Kobe is the first celebrity that I ever had to take a moment for, so finding funny moments has helped
I'm positive his wife and family would trade all their money and worldly belongings just to have them back again. I would. Rest easy King!
kobe always came across as intelligent and wise beyond his years as soon as he came into the league, i couldn’t believe that was a 17 year old when he was being interviewed after being drafted, i remeber that draft well
He was really mature at 17.
He was 17 years old?? And talking like this?? He was over his time and insanely mature. Kobe was amazing, WE LOVE YOU KOBE!!!! ❤️
Kobe Lived his life to the fullest. He achieved a lot more than an average human being could wish for. "And in the end it's not the years in the your life that counts; it's the life in your years." My heartfelt condolences to the Bryant Family. May his beautiful Soul Rest In Eternal Peace..
Patience Masithela Amen 🙏🏾
Well spoken. My thoughts exactly.
So true
Beautiful interview! Even at a young age you can see he is a very intelligent young man with a good head on his shoulders. Isn’t fazed by answering difficult questions and is very well spoken. Just from watching this you could already tell Kobe had a very bright future. And the rest was history......Rest easy KOBE😥💔💔🙏🏾🙏🏾
The intellect this person possesses is out of this world.
I knew Kobe was Smart but now I see he is a Genius
And to think he only went as far as highschool.
So much older than his 17 years. Imagine the hours he had already put in training for the NBA to take him at 17. That discipline as a mere youth.
Alright alright, let’s pipe down, he’s not Newton. kobe was extremely wise for sure though.
Kobe has always been intellectually astute. Even-keeled. Passionate. Focused.
The more I listen to Kobe, the more heartbroken I become.
Me too 💔
The amount of passion he had in his voice when he spoke about the game is beautiful
Incredible maturity from a 17 year old with such a decision before him...speaks volumes about his parents!!!
I love the way he speaks. SO humble, authentic, sweet, and from the heart.
Italy 🇮🇹 will always have Kobe in our hearts too ❤️
So well-spoken, articulate, and mature for a 17-year-old young man! And that smile! 😀
His death really broke my heart.I always think why him
For such a time as this. We would not have learned how to live life to the fullest if he was still here. He ran his race and finished with a crown of glory that would not have surface to the mass of he was still alive. For God's purpose. To show us how to live to our full potential. He still lives, no longer in physical body but in spirit.
Kobe at 17 sounded like a veteran nba player... He had the mamba mentality from back then
That man was special, multiple languages and focused since he was very young
Even at 17 he was talking and carrying himself like he was always 40 :/
Old soul.
Wise beyond his years without a doubt
@@arabpride9939 No the kid was a buck 60...... stop lol
NOTHING BUT LOVE AND RESPECT IM HURT ABOUT THIS THANKS FOR THE LIKES
He reminds me of young 2pac Shakur, articulate, on a mission, determined, wants to proof something, curious, hardworker.
He loved his parents!!
You never know what you got till it’s gone 😞
Victor A On the flip side, you knew exactly what you had, just thought it’d never go.
And Kobe kept his words. He stayed humble and focus till the very last moment of his long career.
Kobe was aging well. He still looked exactly the same.
Marvelous0622 He was like fine wine
Black don't crack. FACTS!
I have never followed kobe Bryant or gAve any thought to him till his passing. I can't believe how humble he is and what a beautiful man he is and shall always be. God bless kobykm
Kobe said he love his parents with all his heart. I feel that love never go away
Even from a young age, he was wired different. 🙏🏼
When he talked about his family, I saw his tear in his eyes , he was such a sensitive boy!
No..that was us tearing up lol
Tgrowpo timestamp please?
@@metalmanny666 14:47
He took criticism and said "thank you for the feedback". That's maturity
Kobe,I always knew before hearing this that your parents did a great job.
Him and 2Pac reminded me of each other so much both physically and mentally. They were both very special human beings, not many 17yr olds could speak like this at that age, they both could
Pretty articulate for a 17 year old. Kobe was definitely cut from a different cloth.
The most painful part! How do they forgive each other. Holding grudges is never worth it. FORGIVENESS!!!
“I don’t want to have any “but’s” when people talk about Kobe Bryant” :(
But
Once again, we don't see the true greatness off a person until their no longer alive.
RAIN DROPS Look up KOBE in HEBREW smFh
RAIN DROPS we saw greatness in him before his death actually. He’s a five time champion. We saw the greatness in him since day 1. He was loved before and after his death. He’s not one of those people who died then got loved. He was already loved before his death. He walked around LA and Orange County with NO security and nobody would touch him or even bother him with his kids. True fact.
Very educated when he speaks, amazing at what he does. Just a legendary, Kobe Bryant.
I just always looked at Kobe like he was gona live way longer than he did. Healthy, smart Legend 💯👏🏿
Kobe Bryant is not dead.
He’s waiting for us at the other side of the court
Not_Potato 😩
Put your faith in Christ the King of Kings and you shall have the privilege to pick up a 1 v 1 against Kobe. Looking forward to it myself!
Reason why he was able to be such a good husband to her.
@Dunn Dallas Honor your mother and father that your days might be long.
.......the Bible........
Exactly. It’s no accident that he as a black man turned out to be a prodigy and well-articulated from a young age without a solid father that raised him well. We don’t know what happened between him and Vanessa but I wished they repaired those wounds and lived happily
@@everyroseenterprises2226, i agree with you. Yes it says that but it also says parents shouldn't provoke their children also.
He speaks with so much wisdom at an early age I can’t miss a word
I'm convinced Kobe was perfect. 😢
trueeee. such an ideal guy. Vanessa and their girls are so lucky to have him. 💕
miss RMG were 😭
That letter got me!!!
When he expressed his love for his family 💔...so sweet.
I jope ya name aint the answer to my question. But what went down with his parents
They auctioned off his gear without his permission.
Aint Tellinu , his obsession for curiosity actually created his open mindedness of reassessing his parents’ ideologies that were already established in their household. To his parents, he was going to remain the “young Kobe”; however to him, it was time to move on and be unsentimental.
For starters they never approved of his marriage.
Paulette Brown his parents wanted him to marry an African American female. If we don't the black race will disappear.
Kobe Bryant was one of the last REAL MEN out there. Wow I would love to find somebody like him!!!!!
24 years later, he looked the same and was the same funny well spoken gentleman.
He was 41
Which means it was 6 years later
@@delgado8 ??
Hassu he is 10 is this video
Except here he was bald by choice.
Everytime I watched this man I cried. He was such an amazing husband, father and a son. He's such a inspirational man. May he and all the other victims rest in peace 😭🙏
I can’t believe this 17 year old have more sense then some forty year old. Rest In Peace.
Divine how people can live through their words of wisdom, this has been informative as well as enlightening appreciate it Mamba, rest peacefully Kobe.
I LOVE YOU KOBEEE!!! THANK FOR BEING ON THIS EARTH AND GIVING ME THE BEST NBA EXPERIENCE FOR 20 YEARS!!!!
What a beautiful human being.
"I say thank you for the feedback" man.. Kobe super inspirational.
This is my Super Bowl Half-time.
