Isabel using her bell like a morse code is genius yet we overlook it as the books flat out said it. I really enjoy this story. The angry “Ding, ding” made me chuckled as I thought it was something innocent and appropriate. Now this story makes me what to buy some Hornby AutoCoaches to adapt this story. This story is fun and amusing. Great work, Mike!
Oliver is one of my favorites, so instantly, I’m interested. He didn’t get a chance to shine in the RWS. You rectified that here. Great work as always!
Yet another clever, funny and entertaining story, Mike. Much like the slip coaches, the auto coaches are ones I almost never see get anything in fan content, so this was a pleasant shake up. Just as significant is making Isabel and Dulcie so distinct from each other. Never thought I'd see someone make Isabel mostly mute, but that's such a clever move and just works.
Yeah, it seems that Isabel and the autocoaches, as well as the Slip Coaches don't get enough love in fan series these days. Same with Elsie and Victoria. I always prefer Oliver escaping with BOTH his faithful coach and brake van. It just isn't the same when it is just Oliver and Toad, like in the TV Series
This answers the questions I had with how Isabel is written in the books. I have to say this might be one of your best, I really enjoyed hearing a story focused on just these 3. A great way of showing off the peculiarities of GWR autotrains and locos sandwiched in the middle without having to explain it.
This is a pretty funny audio story focusing on Isabel and Dulce, which I always adored when they were mentioned in the RWS. It is quite a good move to have Isabel give her in-joke name another layer of humor by having primarily communicate by using her bell much like how Harpo Marx would always use a squeeze horn to communicate with Chico in those old Marx Brothers movies. I am working on an idea for a mute character who communicates using only their whistle. I'm thinking of also having him use facial expressions, much like Gromit. I haven't chosen a name and I have to narrow down the final basis to be chosen.
Gosh, that was a jump scare and a half when Isabel spoke for the first time. I kind of expected it, but still caught me off guard. As always Mike, these slice of life stories are so great. I don’t why, but these kinds of stories always hit home in the personal feels, if you take my meaning. I must say I really love this story, it fills in the gap between escape and resource and sagacity rather nicely and gives the rolling stock some love. Gets some time to know the auto coaches and toad. Come to think of it this might be the first time we see toad and Douglas together taking a train, which is a little weird to think about. I could continue to on and on about how much I love this story, but then this would be a novel and not a comment. Thanks for another lovely auto story. It is much appreciated.
Once again another banger story with one of my favorite characters. Isabel and Dulce, along with Alice and Maribel are the most nothing characters in The Railway series. So I found it very interesting the way you wrote Isabel and I find Dulce interesting because she joins Oliver after the escape. Although I wouldn't want to be the middle man in a real life scenario like this, but unfortunately for Oliver he's a Middle engine LOL. Anyway keep up the good work Mike can't wait to see what you pump out next!
Hope we see more of Gabe the truck in future, i wonder if he has any tales of the old days? Or if he knows secrets about the troublesome trucks around him?
Absolutely brilliant! Love the fact that Dulcie basically told Toad to get lost (albeit more rudely)! I love Oliver too, so that's also a great part to this! I certainly look forward to your next story!
4:08 "An enthusiast (who looked far from enthused) took down Oliver's number in a green notebook and said 'Take note, North Western number 11, that you are pulling AUTO coaches, *not* SLIP coaches. Good day,' and boarded Isabel."
I do wonder what colour livery Gabe is, or has his paint rusted away after being neglected for so long? Hope he gets sent to the works and restored to proper working order. 😊 💪
The autocoaches communicating with their bells was something I thought about a while ago, so seeing this story was a nice surprise! How fluent would you say Toby is in ‘bell speak’?
If it weren’t for Douglas, Oliver, Isabell and Toad wouldn’t be on the Northwestern, And if it weren’t for the Fat Controller Alice Mirabel & Dulcie wouldn’t be on the Northwestern, Also, great story.

My thought exactly! Oliver is literally thee best in the series 👋😪
Ye he's definitely got some untouched great story potential there

I SERIOUSLY C-C-COULDN'T HAVE CLEARLY P-P-PUT IT BETTER MYSELF!!!
"Ding, Ding!" Lol, Isabel getting angry made me laugh all through the story. Great video mate. 😊
7:32 I am convinced Isabel just straight up told toad to f*ck off
Nah, she simply told Toad that Oliver was being a real “blankety blank blank” 😂
@@TheBuriedTruck ah yes, a classic I wanted a Robinson Atlantic situation.
I thought she said hell no
I love the idea of Isabel using her bell to speak.
SAME HERE!!!!!
IT'S QUITE INSANELY CLEARLY CLEVER!

I can’t believe we never got to see the proper use of the auto-coaches in the books.

5:28 Speaking of Daisy, I wonder of her sibling Railcar could appear in future? Her history before sodor sounds interesting.

I won’t say much - but you certainly haven’t seen the last of old Gabe!
@@TheBuriedTruck Awesome 👌
Glad am I not the only one interested in seeing more of Gabe.

This is a really fun story, we rarely see people give character to Isabelle and dulice, great job as always

Man this was entertaining. Great to know Isabelle and Dulcee finally have a backstory.
DEFINITELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow. This is a backstory I didn’t think I wanted but you put something special together. Thanks Mike. Keep up the good work.
5:33 Title drop!
I do wonder what colour livery Gabe is, or has his paint rusted away after being neglected for so long? Hope he gets sent to the works and restored to proper working order. 😊 💪
When he gets a proper follow-up, I’ll make sure he’s properly illustrated!

Surprisingly, I think Toby speaking normally has led to him being a bit “rusty”!

🔔 & Brawl! Oliver & The Two Noisy Coaches Save The Day! Written by TheBuriedTruck!
Now that was impressive! Well done! I’m so proud of you. I suppose this story is set in 1968 after Donald’s Duck and Paxton Prevails right? :)
Somewhere around then, yes!
@@TheBuriedTruck It’s still a honor to piece your stories in the North Western Railway timeline (especially in the show of Thomas and Friends). 😁
I really wish awdry had done a proper story about Oliver and his coaches 😢 such a big missed opportunity
Nice story! Why does Isabel prefer to use her bell to talk instead of words?
I imagine that’s just how she got used to communicating with Oliver in the old days!
@theburiedtruck Will you be doing any more Tugs stories in future mate?
Not in the near future - but never say never!
@@TheBuriedTruck No worries mate, big fan of your stories in general so I had to ask. 👍

Interesting, Isabel speaking in this “Bell language”, while Dulcie speaks normal English
@theburiedtruck hey mate, it was my birthday yesterday. Hope you're doing well. 😊
so if they can communicate through bells can they also communicate through whistles and horns?
