Attached or not, I wish every doctor advocated for their patients this way

The doctor got attached because there was no one there for Reginald. The doctor didn't have to do that. What a blessing he is to his patients. When family is there, the doctors give them their space. They don't have a chance to bond with the patients. What a great show. It should have way more views.

So good to see Reginald recovered ❤ my father had type one diabetes onset 16 years of age and he lived to 67. What sent him to his rest was the combination of that and Alzheimer’s disease. He kept tight reign on his sugar levels until he fell ill with the dementia. But even with nursing care 24 hours he just slid downhill, we lost him in 2011. My mom in 2014, she survived Covid only to die from a stage 4 bedsore because while recovering from Covid she wasn’t turned enough and the infection got into her spine.😢 she was 79.

Looks incredibly uncomfortable to lay on a bed without a sheet. Im not understanding why the elderly man complaining of severe abdominal pain isn't taken straight to a CT or an MRI.

I feel a bit heartbroken for Reginald, He looks like he really isnt well..Watching him suck the water off the sponge takes me back to caring for my mom when she was at the end of life care via hospice services, she passed away from lung cancer..I remb being so lost,so sad and angry, angry about how my beautiful fun loving kind amazing mother went from working a job, running a home with a family, singing her favorite songs, playing horse shoes, laughing at the silliest things and giving to anyone in need to someone laying in bed, bald, sucking on water sponges, wearing over night diapers, not knowing who anyone else was, not being able to tend to bathroom issues etc all within a matter of 6 months..Its been 18 years and im still just as sad, lost, angry and hurt..End of life hospice care is an emotional roller-coaster ride within a small span of time..Aww bless Reginald that sweet man, wondering if his boxing days caused his stomach emergency..Im really hopeing he pulls through and stays alive❤ I truly appreciate the concern, care, respect, and time these doctors and nurses give their patients..the consultant was raw with the facts but respectfully concerned and caring..So was his original E.R. doctor..I have respect for these guys for caring and taking the extra time and kindness to be there for Reginald ❤

Wondering if your mom was a smoker. Mine was until her lungs were so bad, she literally couldn’t smoke anymore. She developed COPD & suffered for about 5 years before she died. I really hate cigarettes & wonder how they can still be legal. I’m mad & sad as well. We never get over the loss of our mom. It’s been 26 years.

So sorry for your loss. I can tell you that the loss of the ability to tend to your restroom needs is sometimes the most distressing thing for a person going downhill. If anyone sees this, please treat this matter if you have a loved one in this situation like it's no more than doing dishes or sweeping the floor. It's just a thing that must be done. No big deal. Have all the necessary items ready to go. Get a mattress cover to keep the bedding dry and safe. Chucks and wipes and fresh clothing are all set up to set it all right just in case. Remember to rinse all soiled items of clothing in cold water before you wash. Helps with stains and smells lingering.❤

100% agree! He shouldn’t be giving advice to a rock, let alone another human. Nearly every thing he said made him look like a misinformed idiot who is trying to show a macho, alpha bravado, even though he probably hasn’t talked to a woman outside of family members, teachers, etc. for more than 10 minutes! As a parent, it’s frustratingly difficult to accept the fact that the fate of humanity is being left in the hands of people like him.

Reginald was lucky with all doctors caring for him in ER. I was a nurse and had a call from my son at end of shift saying dad collapsed in bathroom. My colleague drove me home My husband looked grey in pain but despite my pleads refused ambulance insisted driving the five min to hospital. Arrived. in a similar condition to Reginald after hours in ER under assessment by many specialist scans etc consultation with Professor elsewhere as no diagnosis confirmed they took him for an exploratory laparotomy and 18inch of small bowel had herniated through a minute hole in the omentum just turning gangrenous. He was Very lucky.

Sorry. Where TF is his call button? It’s brown vomit, not coffee grounds exactly? I went from infection to diabetes. My life goal was to be a Head Nurse in a Trauma Unit in a Government Hospital. Unfortunately life came along, gave me a husband and children. I continue my education. I wasn’t able to finish it. I’m happy with my family, just upset with myself. I could’ve been so much more. I even continue reading and learning on my own. I wanted so badly to be a Nurse. Maybe in my next lifetime 😊

Just my own opinion, I don't want anyone to tell me I am dying ,I just want encouragement to look forward getting better. I have to speak to my sister's doctors to be more gentle and encourage to look forward for she has a loving daughter and a grand daughter waiting and praying for her complete recovery. Just my opinion...😢

I almost died of lymphatic cancer when I was 10, and the doctors along with my parents told me the honest truth, and that if this experimental treatment didn’t work then I was going to die. I wasn’t angry or sad, they explained that I would go to sleep and I wouldn’t be sick anymore, and that I would see them again soon. By some miracle I went into remission a few months later but for me, I’m glad they were honest with what was happening. Why my hair was coming out, why I couldn’t go back to school, why we randomly got to go to Dollywood due to my make a wish. My dad bought my Christmas in June, and mom decorated the house because it was my favorite holiday and we knew I might not have another. It can be scary, but you plan to have experiences that you thought you had more time for.
