@@S.Mir786 Mmm...not entirely accurate. Christian pilgrims from England and Europe were the first to colonize the east coast of North America. There were also a lot of Jews as well as Africans that arrived shortly afterwards. Long story short, what little authority the British had over the American colonies was crushed through the War for Independence. And then when the war of 1812 ended, all British government and military personnel were forced to leave for good. A lot has happened in the US since 1812. Tons of people from just about every nation on earth have moved here, started families, and those families have grown to become entire neighborhoods and even cities of their own. Africans, Asians, Italians, Greeks, Arabs, Iranians, Jews, Russians, etc etc etc. And as these communities have grown, so too has their influence on the way the American system works. Ultimately, America and Great Britain really arent that much alike anymore...biologically. Not only that, but Great Britain has also welcomed many foreigners a new lease on life since 1812. Lots of Jamaicans, Hindis, Arabs, Jews, etc. So the point can also be made that Great Britain isn't much like America anymore either...biologically.

That line ...with that music at the right moment ...'Like a Western......WANKERS!' Fine line of Comedic and Psychotic ...and I love it.
Just watched this film for the first time. Absolutely loved it, Tom Hardy played the parts well. Will definitely watch again.

"You're gonna like this one.A paranoid schizophrenic walks into a bar......"
From the Kray’s, Mad Max, Warrior…Lawless..on and on, he is the best actor of his generation. He’s just remarkable with the talent he shows !
The Take 💯🔥👍
as Ivan Locke also
Be good to see if he can play someone who isn't dark and damaged though.
@@thewomble1509 Tom is a character actor. Google definition. and he does his job very well. Tom doesn't like to play simple characters.
@@Charlotte-tg8gk Hi Charlotte, I know what a character actor is, petal. Thanks all the same.
My point still stands. Toodles!
I love Tom Hardy. He really needs to be in so many more action flicks that have him showing more of his acting chops. Great fight seen
"No that's not it. He's just genuinely disappointed with you." Awesome writing.
@Jim Dandy If you can't see this is entirely subjective than you are a fool.
@jimdandy8686 Bronson?
From 1:37 onwards Hardy has got the East End hardman swagger 100% correct. It is quite brilliant as you rarely see that look and movement anymore, it was very much an East End look in the 60s and early 70s.
I swear this movie is slept on so hard! Way too few people know about and appreicate it. One of Tom Hardy’s best work imo, simply because he plays two characters at the same time. Just amazing
After seeing this movie I researched the Kray twins and it turns out this movie really undercut what they were really capable of. They were both trained boxers and brutal & violent to anyone that crossed them.
Read "The Profession of Violence" if you haven't already. The true story and the basis for this film.
@@christopherdean1326 , Thanks I will read this.
Why didn't the police stop them?
@@someonesomeone25 The police needed witnesses to come forward, everyone was either too sh*t scared of the Krays, or working for them, to talk to the police. Unless the police actually caught them in the act (which they were far too clever to allow) they had nothing to go on.
@@christopherdean1326 , you summed it up perfectly. That’s exactly what I found.
'it's a fucking rolling pin" Kudos to whom wrote this blessed script!
The delivery of that line makes me wheeze every time, without fail. Genius
I think that Legend needs to be re-released in theaters in the USA. It should have gotten best picture and of course, best actor for Tom Hardy!! What's up with Academy Awards? This is a CLASSIC!! Way to go Tom!!!
Yes, i agree.
My favorite scene in this whole film!
One of the greatest movie scenes of all time
"Nah he's just genuinely disappointed in you" hilarious
Tom Hardy's portrayal of Ronnie Kray alone should have won him an Oscar.
The dialogue before the fight is great, love it every time
Ronnie being pissed that he’s not gonna get the shootout he wants has to be one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen😂😂😂 I die every single time😂
Ronnie and Reggie Kray played by Tom Hardy is brilliant and he portrayed them very well
Tom Hardy, The Legend/Icon, Outstanding Actor!
This is my favorite Guinness ad.
Hahaha. Well said
Guinness is good for you.
This has to he one of the best scenes I've ever seen in any film. It's so memorable.
I genuinely wish I had the charisma of Hardy as the kray brothers. Minus the hammers and knuckle dusters 😂😂
I love how blood thirsty Ronnie Kray looks when he's behind them

Lorry just went over on the M5 full of snooker equipment!!!! Cue’s everywhere
Tom hardy throws proper straight punches. No looping roundhouse punches from actor who really can't fight. He is fluid in his movements and you can see why he has won BJJ bluebelt tournaments.
Gives a whole new meaning to getting hammered at the pub....
hahahahahahahahahahaha
Apparently that's where the saying came from, on a cold June night in the east end Blind Begger pub. It was raining heavily whilst the sun was shining and the random spoons were flying.

You Brits are something else...something special. Much love from the US.
You are the same as them! Learn some history! You are not Americans!
@@S.Mir786 Alright then. What is it that I dont know??
@@scottenosh4548 well that brits colonised North America ….So they are practically your cousins or family…
@@scottenosh4548 Awesome history lesson Scott 👍😉

I realize there may have been some "artistic liberties" taken in the production of this film.
However, you'd have to respect any man who could remain so calm in the face of overwhelming odds in a fight.
Of course, then there's Ronnie...lol. 🤪
