Great video! The detailed comparison really helped me make my decision. I was going to get the Black Series because of the budget friendly price point, but seeing the two side by side I decided that the EFX is worth the additional costs. The paint applications looks way more screen accurate to me and I'll never wear it so padding is not an issue for me. Thanks Jorge.
Yeah them EFX helmets are pretty big when it comes to fitting, I added some air conditioner window seal laying around and used it to fill in the gaps and it worked really well, I ended up adding a thin layer over the Hasbro helmet strips and it feel super comfortable.
Love the video! Very to the point, and informative! If I was a Fett fanatic like in my younger days, I'd go for the EFX. But as it is, I collect a lot of things. I collect Hot Toys 1/6th scale figures. AutoArt 1/18 scale diecast cars. Lightsabers lol. For me, I can buy 3 Black series helmets instead of 1 EFX helmet, so I think black series will win every day to me. (But this one does look amazing) PS. Why has black series never done a Jango helmet? My favorite helmet in the Star Wars galaxy. Just edges out Mando for me. They need a Jango helmet. Missed opportunity there!
Great video, helped me decide! Thanks! And can I ask where specifically where you got your helmet display brackets in the background? Thanks again and cheers!
I'm a stickler for certain details, so I tend towards the higher end props which is why I'm perpetually poor lol. I have the Black Series as well but the EFX is far superior. For me it's the visor that makes the biggest difference. The Black Series eye region is too wide vertically, basically because let's face it, it's a toy to be worn and played with. The EFX is more screen accurate, and that's why I had to have it.
The EFX paint job and sizing is spot on however, it is missing some details that I’m going to add to mine. The green cheeks should have some black weathering on the bottom green cheeks. There’s a white thumb print smudge that should be on the back left panel on the red area from the mandible. Missing a white smudge on a couple of the kill stripes. Also missing the ‘Nike swoosh’ mark on the back left panel. The BS has 15 kill stripes where the EFX has the proper amount of 14 kill stripes. EFX is missing some black weathering on the dent as well. Once I add those details I’ll share pics with you @medinalorian. I’m also going to put foam inside mine and wear it as a spare for my costume until I paint up my lineage helmet …. EFX ALL THE WAY for me ..!
Thanks bro. Tempted to get the EFX but I don’t know. So much I want to get first. I have the TBS Fett 40th and Proto versions. Was thinking to get the new TBS repaint BOBF version this year too. Plus the Mando version.
I have this EFX helmet myself and it is pretty amazing it dose lack padding but it’s a great collectors piece. Have you seen the Commemorative version which is platinum only 250 made. Very lucky to had got one. Definitely one for your collection if you can snag one. Great video All the best jay
As nice as the EFX model is i dont think its worth the price. The black series is a better more affordable buy. I guess im good with the black series. Damn cool helmet though
No padding because the EFX is for display, not playing with like the BS toy. If you didn't get a BS for retail, get the EFX. You're absolutely right. I love mine.
I get the feeling that you don't understand movie props. This is a copy of a filming prop. Jeremy Bullock wore a padded balaclava and then the helmet. The inside was never intended to be seen. The interior of the Black Series helmet was based on an imagined interior I remember seeing for a series of mini collectible helmets in the 2000s I believe. I thought it was pretty interesting at the time. I have my own 1:1 helmet and I added custom foam padding that made it fit my head perfectly.
Thanks for watching. I do understand how the movie props were made. This is a collectible though. The sculpted interior that BS offers is a nice option for collectors. Given the price point, it could be something that could make the difference when choosing which one to buy. It may not be accurate but it’s still nice
Hi Dude! I've seen you on OG's channel, thought I'd check this out and subscribe. I've seen you wearing this Medinalorian shirt before. My guy! I love this shirt, as a Canadian I want this shirt not so much as to represent Star Wars because I'm not the biggest fan but I Love the Mexican Culture. Tell me where I can find that shirt please. I did a quick look online and found squat. Lol
Thanks Steve! I actually made that shirt myself. I'm still looking for a place I can print it, since a lot of people ask me for it. Once I do, I will make it available for purchase. I appreciate the watch and that you subscribed. Hope you enjoy the rest of my content!
BS if you want to save money or just save up for a decent handmade. The efx is overpriced for a stamped paint job imo and looks nothing like a decent paintjob

Yes the EFX helmet looks better but for me the differences are so small that its not worth it for me since i just use them for display.
Awesome video Jorge!
Appreciate the measurements for us looking to put on a shelf.
Nice work and congrats on the addition to the collection.
Congrats Jorge ! Fantastic review/comparison :)
Great video! The EFX color and weathering looks really dope!
I love your room design

Really like u’r studio man looks sick!

Nicely done! I love the pcr
Greatest review as always question if I may, what are you using for your Wall helmet mounts?
Welcome to the EFX rabbit hole :), I love EFX man a lot of people knock the PCRs but I really enjoy them. Congrats bro, great review.
Why do they knock the PCRs?
Awesome video! I have the EFX version. Definitely looks great in person.
Enjoyed your review! I also purchased this Helmet and its great prop. Great review.
Great video, helped me decide! Thanks! And can I ask where specifically where you got your helmet display brackets in the background? Thanks again and cheers!
They both looks awesome, great review video 👍😎
I’ve had both helmets and even though it’s expensive, the EFX one is so much nicer looking.
Signed Black Series will cost about EFX price. With out signed reasonable price. Looks good on my shelf either way. 👍
Wow love the looks of it, and yeah the paint for sure and good details. At this point I'd settle for the black series haha
Love your videos! What are you using to hang the helmets behind you with?

good review ive just subscribed. love your content buddy. ive just got the bs one. new . cool helmet.
Thanks and welcome! The BS is a great helmet. Especially at that price point. You can’t beat it for the money
I have this EFX helmet myself and it is pretty amazing it dose lack padding but it’s a great collectors piece.
Have you seen the Commemorative version which is platinum only 250 made. Very lucky to had got one. Definitely one for your collection if you can snag one. Great video
All the best jay
I think the commemorative version you talk of is constructed from machined aluminium and not platinum.
@@mattchedzey ha! Yeah I thought about what I’d said after couldn’t think of the material at the time!
The EFX is 4 times the price-but it doesn’t reflect 4 times the value.

Looks killer 😎
Hasbro knocked this outta the park
If you want a Toy get the Black Series if you want a prop helmet get the EFX. If you want the real serious deal look at RS Props.

wow nice helmet Boba Fett :)
So i going with the Black Series,
BS if you want to save money or just save up for a decent handmade. The efx is overpriced for a stamped paint job imo and looks nothing like a decent paintjob
First nice helmet
Thanks!
Don't buy either... get a good cast helmet and then get a professional paint job.
