This video is a little different because I include a personal experience I had very recently, and I figured it made it worth it to do another home alone themed video.
In a way, we got to thank the person who scared Mr. Nightmare in his trailer truck, cuz that’s what inspired him to narrate his old trailer horror story and maybe got him to create the channel we all know and love today.
Never, EVER let a stranger into your home, especially when you’re alone. Even if you’re an adult, if someone you don’t know asks to come in, send them away. It sounds mean but it’s a scary world out there.
I'm not one to criticize victims like this because I understand we do weird things in crises, and I don't doubt I would too, but how the fuck do you not call the police at that point.
Prison stories would be good. There's so much pain and violence in them. There's one in New York that's from the revolutionary war. It's still actively used today. When I was 18 I received a state sponsored vacation. Anyway the old timers shared with me that it was haunted by a violent spirit. Known as "the man in black pajamas". In the morning there was always someone covered head to toe in bloody scratches. These are grown men, tough men crying. I thank God I never had an overnight visit. The problem is at night it's common for you to hear men crying. Not because of a spirit but due to our poor decision making. I was only a guest there 3 months before I was moved to a step down facility (I moved to a dorm style medium security). For those curious it's Auburn state prison. There's a portion of it that you can see from the yard that goes underground. You're told in no uncertain terms that areas is off limits. If you approach it then you risk getting shot.
I've listened to so many of these stories where the person didn't call the cops and often wonder if they heard of a similar situation leading to a murder later on and have a guilty conscience about it. Stuff like this they should always be called,.it's literally stupidity not to
I mean, they don't elaborate, but there could be many reasons to not call the cops. Parents with criminal records, threat of police violence, living in a neighborhood that cops ignore anyway, etc. Cops aren't always the competent heroes in blue that they're painted to be, unfortunately.
we are literally told from childhood to call 911 when in trouble... no one calls or wait till it's too late to call.... natural selection at that point
Situational awareness is very important in keeping yourself safe. Always be aware of what is going on around you and if you sense someone acting strange, trust your instincts and don't put yourself into a situation where that person can be alone with you. It's better to be a little paranoid and stay safe than to disregard your instincts and get yourself into trouble.
The Air Force definitely hammered in situational awareness into me. I’m always keeping tabs on what’s going on around me. Even when driving, if I see a vehicle has taken the same turns as me after like 3, I’m watching and wherever I’m going, I’m taking turns I normally don’t take to get to my destination and seeing if they’re still taking the same turns as me off of main roads to establish that it might not just be coincidence
I know Mr. Nightmare has done school horror stories before. I think specifically doing teacher horror stories could be a good theme for a video. Every student deserves to be taught by a stable person with good intentions, but that sadly is not always what happens. At the same time, teachers will meet all kinds of people in their classroom and are bound to have had a student or even a parent who creeped them out.
These days, you got predator teachers more and more. On the other hand, you also have nightmare students who drive good teachers to quit and are causing a shortage everywhere.
I can only imagine how scary a home invasion must be. I imagine most people see their house as a “safe haven” but forget it isn’t a magical barrier that can keep all forms of danger out. If it’s not an impenetrable fortress, you’re not 💯 % safe.
Thats what I always hear from people whove experienced these kinds of things. The PTSD sticks around forever, your home being violated like that is a total shock to the senses.
@@knxaI'm not exactly sure which video it was, but basically he was at a trailer/house in a quiet forest and he heard or saw someone through a window while he was by himself
I remember once my brother and I were home alone, and this couple knocked on the door. I don’t remember what denomination they were apart of but basically they were some of those people that go door to door trying to convert people to their religion. They asked us if our parents were home. We told them no, thinking they would just leave a leaflet or something and move on, but they then immediately walked into the house uninvited and sat down, which then led to like 30 minutes of them proselytizing to us until they finally left. It was both awkward and scary. Even though they were obviously doing something wrong as a kid it feels like you can’t disagree with an adult, even if they’re a total stranger
Oh that's SO inappropriate and rude of them!! And not okay at all. I'm sorry that happened! You must have been so scared and uncomfortable. My grandma converted to Mormonism, and when I lived with her more than a decade ago, she let the Mormon bishop in our neighborhood come over one night. He was this guy who owned a floral in our neighborhood, and I always thought he was creepy. He asked why my sister didn't come and say hi to him. My sister was a teenager who didn't care about these people and what they thought of her for not going to church. My sister said no thanks, and that she was busy, so the guy walked back through the house and started opening doors until he opened the door to her room. It was a Friday night, she was a cheerleader who had just cheered at a football game, and she was in the middle of changing out of her cheer uniform. That guy was a stranger and he walked through my grandma's house, found my sister's room, and forced his way in without knocking. I'm still furious at that guy. The worst part is neither my grandma nor my mom believed us that that happened. I saw him walk back there, heard him open the door, and heard her scream at him to get out. She said he forced his way in when she tried to push the door closed. Then the guy lectured them for not teaching their kids manners. Some of these really extreme Christians are SO pushy and inappropriate, especially with children.
The most wild part of a lot of these stories is people saying "I should have not left the door open" or "I should have been more aware of my surroundings." I guess it's not inaccurate to say these things but it breaks my heart to hear those types of things from the VICTIMS! No one should ever go in a stranger's house even if the door is open. No one should ever follow someone home to creep on them. Gosh the world today is a sick sad place but glad to hear these people are okay.
Right? But we have to be responsible for ourselves and not other people's actions. I dont put my life in no ones hands. There's evil and sick people out here who given the chance or not, will prey on others. Hope everyone stays safe out there, especially with the holidays coming up! 🙏🫶

Not just keeping the doors and windows locked, but keeping any curtains, drapes, or blinds drawn all the time is a big help. If they're drawn all the time where you can't see in, how do you know whether they're home or not? If you go somewhere, do NOT post on social media until you return. Robbers use that to select their targets.
Honestly, I get worried just taking lyfts. A lot of the lyft drivers in my area also do doordash, so if one of the people who have delivered to my apartment is also the person who drives me to work, they know both my apartment number and when my apartment is unattended. I don't have a car rn, I work overnights and I have to walk past some really shady bars to get to work, so this is the safe option. It just... creeps me out if I think about it too long.
Here’s a scary one Mr. nightmare I had to stay at home alone once and I kept thinking I was hearing things, but it was all in my head, but thank goodness there’s nothing here just me and my dog and my chickens and my 12 acre property

I have my own scary home alone story. I used to live in a relatively quiet street and one night at about 2am I got up out of bed and went to go down the hallway when I heard my front door being fiddled with, like someone was trying to open it (it was a screen door but it was strong). I grabbed a knife from the kitchen and went to the door and there was a man just standing there, he didn’t say anything for what felt like an uncomfortably long time and I yelled "what are you doing here?" He eventually answered and said he just wanted a lighter and proceeded to ask me for one. I screamed at him to leave and threatened him with the knife until he left. The whole time I never opened my front door and I still think he asked for that lighter to get me to open the door. I know it doesn’t seem that scary and I might sound crazy but he was acting really strange, I don’t want to think what his plan was if he got inside.
Always lock your doors and please call the police and someone you know to help you if someone is trying to get inside your house. Check your surroundings always, I was stalked many years ago by a creepy stranger and I called the police and made a report and they checked video in the store I was stalked in, I also saw him watching other ladies in the bra department of a store. No matter your age be careful when alone.
Seems like a theme of a lot of these stories is that no matter how tough and in control you'd think you'd be, chances are you'll feel the exact opposite.
These were some amazingly horryifying stories my friend, and your story at the end really just gave me goosebumps!! I am very happy to hear that you were safe the whole time!! Much love!! Stay safe!!

Hi Mr.Nightmare, I’ve been watching you for 5 years now, you cure my anxiety so thank you. ☺️
I totally get this, but it's also funnily ironic considering the content of Mr. Nightmare's videos. 😂😂
@@Amateur.Nail.Art.1I know 😂😂😂 I make peace with chaos
Funny how that works, isn’t it? Makes me feel better about my own worries somehow! 😂
How does horror storys cure anxiety?
@@dewaldsteyn1306 makes me feel like my problems aren’t really problems lmao plus I get good tidbits on how to react if I was ever in a situation like some of these stories
I love that one line he constantly uses: “The reality of the situation…”
Mr. Nightmare having his own story to share is what made this video special 👏👏👏
i love creeping myself out by listening to these while home alone! just listened to it while home alone with the lights off, while taking a bath in the pitch black darkness and i highly recommend it if you like being creeped out! lol i even had my phone face down so there would be no light at all
Mr. Nightmare uploads = one happy man

I’m just binging Mr. nightmare’s videos from his oldest to newest and now this shows up amazing…
Always a great day when I see a Mr Nightmare video pop up after a hard day's work
This !
Man for years I've been listing to this guy I'd never thought I'd hear Mr NIGHTMARE, telling his own scary story
Oh god probably one of the most terrifying categories of Mr. Nightmare videos. And a personal story too, this is gonna be one hell
of a video lmao
Being born and raised in NYC not only do we always lock our doors but we usually have at least 3 - 4 locks on our doors. I'm sorry that happened to you. That must be super scary for Melissa too. Thank goodness your friend's cute little dog alerted you to the homeless psycho outside. He deserves a "good boy" treat for that!! ❤❤❤
Oooohhh badman born in nyc????!!!
Thank you Mr. Nightmare for such amazing stories. I have been listening to you since I was in elementary school, and I'm going to be a senior in high school. How the time flies.
When Mr. Nightmare uploads, it's a good day.
Also, a story from Mr. Nightmare? Even better.
was just looking for a video to watch, perfect timing
The fact that the guy from the third story didn’t call the cops is absolutely insane

No way. I’m making food, and was like “let me check if Mr Nightmare has uploaded. “ As soon I as disappointedly click off I get this notification. I love you Mr Nightmare!

I feel like my house work gets done faster when I listen to Mr. Nightmare
Omg me too! Folding clothes?-Mr nightmare, cleaning bathrooms?- Mr nightmare!
More home alone stories, and one of them is Mr. Nightmares?! What a time to be alive! And be safe, Mr. nightmare, we need you!
The whole desert setting just adds to the horror... can’t even imagine being out there alone at night. 🌵🌑
I feel like at this point, Mr. Nightmare has the survival skills to do pretty well in situations he uploads about. I mean we can all say that until it actually happens but it’s definitely a mistake to mess with Nightmare 😂
When Mr Nightmare is facing his own horror story, you know the world is getting crazy 😮
damn mr nightmare personal story never thought the day would come
He has another story but he deleted that video years ago. But someone re-uploaded the video, I just can't find it.
I’m pretty glad he put his own story it makes it a bit more interesting! 😄
Did he
@@JoeyDelaney-d2c did he what?
Not just keeping the doors and windows locked, but keeping any curtains, drapes, or blinds drawn all the time is a big help. If they're drawn all the time where you can't see in, how do you know whether they're home or not? If you go somewhere, do NOT post on social media until you return. Robbers use that to select their targets.
True its crazy what people post on social media..just lookup on Google maps when on vacation
@@transsnack Fair enough.
Mr.Nightmare knew exactly how to keep himself and Melissa safe. And I learn too from your stories.
That’s awesome Mr. Nightmare added his own scary story in here!!❤❤❤
I like how his story was so short. He reads so many experiences he knows what to do
Here’s a scary one Mr. nightmare I had to stay at home alone once and I kept thinking I was hearing things, but it was all in my head, but thank goodness there’s nothing here just me and my dog and my chickens and my 12 acre property
Same my paranoia always makes me believe that I'm not alone
@@virt7althank goodness for the second amendment
The second amendment with it's outdated tricentennial verbiage of "Right to Bare Arms"? And no of the dated verbiage, it does NOT give one a pass to "hoard possess," caches of side firearms, magazines, and military grade assault rifles of the common civilians.
When the time of said Amendment Two was pinned, initially it was a "call to arms" by the early settlers of the fledgeling colonial America, as they were warring with Great Britain, of what? I feel like I can hear a little bit of joy in Mr. Nightmare's voice when getting to share his own story.
Man I love your stories bro!! Been a long time fan since Day 1. As always your stories have me on edge!!!
Cool, Thank You Mr. Nightmare 💜
Love these stories been listening to them for 7 years
Mr nightmare the type of guy to have his own horror story UA-cam channel and have his own horror stories
Him posting this while I’m home alone is crazy
"the reality of the situation just became so much more real"
*Makes sense*
I'm sure I'm not totally sane, I listen to these when I'm in bed, alone in a house that backs on to a wooded area, it's the only way I can sleep 😂
Spoiler shield
It’s seems pretty unreal that Mr Nightmare has his own story to tell
These stories help me be more alert and on my guard of suspicious people and situations. Because of these stories ive been able to save myself in multiple dangerous situations this year. Stay tough and dont forget to use your brains!! ❤❤
I said it before and I’ll say it again: Mr. Nightmare is heaven-scent!
*sent
I don't think Mr. Nightmare SMELLS like heaven
@@SumTr011Considering Mr. Nightmare was advertising cologne and the person you were replying to is Punmaster, they probably meant scent 😊
@@Sacred_Fire Thanks for the backup 😃
Always lock your doors and please call the police and someone you know to help you if someone is trying to get inside your house. Check your surroundings always, I was stalked many years ago by a creepy stranger and I called the police and made a report and they checked video in the store I was stalked in, I also saw him watching other ladies in the bra department of a store. No matter your age be careful when alone.
Cooking dinner and cleaning up…. Perfect timing !
i’ve been listening to your videos for years, i’m obsessed
Can we talk about how energetic he was to tell that story. You can tell he was excited to share this. Love these videos so much!
Just as I wanted to go to sleep Mr.Nightmare posts, WELP IM WATCHING
Seems like a theme of a lot of these stories is that no matter how tough and in control you'd think you'd be, chances are you'll feel the exact opposite.
Mr nightmare U R the king 👑 of all scary stories
These were some amazingly horryifying stories my friend, and your story at the end really just gave me goosebumps!! I am very happy to hear that you were safe the whole time!! Much love!! Stay safe!!

Hey Mr. Nightmare, been a huge fan of yours for years, watched countless back to back, and I even have a Mr. Nightmare Plush that you sold few months back. Point is, big fan lol
To tell ya the truth, this is a big week for me. This Saturday, I'm heading to Disney World for the first time ever and staying in Florida for a whole week.
Reason I'm telling you this? I know this is a long shot, but I'd love it if you did a video about scary stories that happened at either Disneyland or Disney World. Ironic, right? Happiest places on Earth, what could possibly go wrong? 😂

A more efficient way would be to ask who doesn't love Mr. Nightmare
that third story… There wouldn’t have been the next morning I called my parents… It would have been. I called my parents that night to tell them the police were there. I would not have hesitated and would’ve called 911 the second I heard that tapping the second time.
