    Thanks for sharing this video I did this method for deposition of CdS in my thesis back in 1984 for making solar cells good work anyway .

    wow it reminds me of my long time ago thesis experiments and now you introduced new ideas thanks and that's very interesting. My solar cells were yielding 5% efficiency I would like to try your doping methods to see if the cells will get more efficient in converting sun light to electricity.

      There is no exact way but you can use trial and error method depending on molecular size to get a good quality thin film. Because quality depends on quality of chemicals, temperature, etc.
      Rough idea you can get in this video itself or you can avail many research papers on the same.
      Thank you🙏

    How we can test it?
    How we can measure its work and ability ?
    How we can use this thin film in electronic project (like any photocondictive or photoresistor)?
    We need videos on this topics. Really we need.
    I will be really happy if you tell me. Thanks

      You can use various characteristic techniques based on type of application you want to work on like absorption spectrum can be obtained or even I-V characteristics etc.
      Most important part is the quality of the film.. It has to be uniformly well deposited without any impurities. So more care is to be taken with respect to surrounding environment.

    • @gyansampada4587

      EDTA is a complexing agent which slows down the process which helps in uniform deposition of thin film

    • @gyansampada4587
      @gyansampada4587  2 роки тому

      Instead of Thiourea which is a Sulphur source here, you can use suitable oxide source which gives good quality thin film.

    Mam, Is CdS thin film is toxic? Did u use gloves while preparing?

    • @gyansampada4587
      @gyansampada4587  Рік тому +1

      We have to hold the glass substrate where there is no deposition of CdS.
      This avoids any toxins from getting in and also film quality will not be affected by fingerprints.
      So with caution you can handle even without gloves.
      I recommend not to take in the fumes during the process.
      Thank you 🙂

    There are sooo many things wrong with this video. These are very toxic chemicals - cadmium is a heavy metal!!! Lab coat/gloves should be worn. Also this should be done inside a fume hood. PLEASE remove this video as it shows horrible chemistry technique from start to finish. (I have done similar synthesis for years and this is horrifying...you are going to destroy your health one of these times)

      We had deposited it just for a small project with very less molarities in well ventilated area with necessary precautions.
