    NanaShi!!! I’m so proud of her, for everything she did in this video as well as everything else she has accomplished with skating. Nana wanted me to speak for her in this video because she gets shy about her English on camera, but anyone who has met her would tell you how she’s the most fun and incredibly sweet person out there. Go Nana! 😊

    This video was so cool I had no Idea Jason had a board out like that XD
    This channel really has convinced me how fun skating can be. So, I decided to finally get into it. I took an old Zero board that my older brother had WAYY back in the day, replaced the bushings, bearings, wheels, hardware, grip (and kept the old-school cut out near the tail where I've got the Zero logo on the deck). For now I'm just enjoying riding around cause I found some great cruiser wheels at a local skate shop (Hive Skate Shop in New London, CT). With enough time and all the helpful videos on UA-cam, I'll gain the skill and confidence to see what I can do at the skate park (also at Hive in New London). Love you all!

    • @christorres7509
      @christorres7509 3 роки тому

      try like staying above it or ollying with it not to sound corny or anything but treat it like an extension of your body. and when you go into the boardslide kinda go at the rail or flatbar at an angle.

    • @ProthPhenom
      @ProthPhenom 3 роки тому

      Pop the tail off the ground, slide your front foot upwards, and aggressively push down on the front. Sounds like youre sliding/flicking your front foot to hard, and almost kicking the board away from yourself.
      But don't worry it's always weird at First. Just practice practice practice.

      Its called tough love. I'm currently teaching my 10 year old daughter to skate. I had her on a small roll in and she did it first try. Happy to continue, I wanted to film her 2nd try and she bails hard for the first time. She didn't put weight on her front foot the 2nd time round. I'll be sure to get her to do round 2 to face her "demons". This goes for anyone, skating or otherwise. If you fall, get back up and try again. Pain is part of the journey. Sorry for the essay :-))
