Frank always struck me as worthy of being a cenobite. Even without powers he was impressively evil.

I hate how they changed Elliot Spencer's character. He seems to be different in the comics, from what we have seen in the movies.
I agree. It also lessens the Cenobites. It is supposed to be pain they enjoy, but their look is no more impactful than a slipknot Thanksgiving. They have all these parts cut open and they dont even act like they notice. Isnt the entire point for them to be so bored they have to turn to crazy torture and mutilation? If Harry can be the Hellpriest and walk around like a normal dude in slacks and a sweater... how is it hell?
You'd think the cenobite forces would be getting stabbed and laughing or cheering encouragement to stab harder. A Cenobite takes more than a wardrobe change, right?
I expect to see them all take their costumes off afterwards and explain how they achieved the "skin flayed from face" look to some special effects judges, like in Face-off.
@@Acguarnica demystifying isn't the right word for what the comics have done but it is close. Its like finding out a Terminator was a person who chose to be a robot, or Freddy's victims all become the rulers of their own person dream worlds. It takes some of the creepy and scary bits and makes them pointless at best.
