I really appreciate how you talk through all your decisions, I've seen other you tubers talk about major decisions, buts it's really helpful that you tell us everything because it helps to make us better players :) thanks!
ty for the commentary sir. i love how you explain every thing you do such as the reason for pausing in the 2nd main phase etc. i have a boros feather deck but on paper. this video will help me play and understand how to properly utilize the deck to its full capacity. subbed
Keep up the great Videos, You tubers like yourself are really helping to strengthen the MTGA community on you tube. Its great to here someone explain all their decisions to help people to playing the game to increase on their knowledge and game play.
Ixalan's Binding is a must have for control and midrange in the SB, I main deck Krenko for burning prophet and go down 2 lands for 2 Mox Ambers with Samuts sprint really gives some explosive turn 3 plays with a haste 4/4 krenko or a Feather with Protection given the mox amber. I was wondering whether Brought Back would be a good sideboard option for Esper board wipes and targeted removal and it combos well with Deafening Clarion in the SB for Vampires and Mono White Aggro for maybe a turn 5 Deafening + Brought Back.
It's pretty fun that the pump spells have found a home at last. Seems very strong against most decks but my monoblack loves to eat Feather decks. Multiple sacrifice a creature spells help alot it seems. Plague Crafter is strong at the moment especially when you can get it back from the dead now and then.
This deck is legit, powered through to plat using Gruul and practiced this a bit in non-ranked play to get the hang of it. Started using it this morning and have 64% win rate so far. Gruul was hovering around 60% as well and is so much easier to pilot but this thing can really pull out some wins when you think its dead.
Loving this deck. Thinking of taking out tajic and maybe a gideon for 2 risk factors. Face or draw with the jump-start seems pretty good especially since we can gain life with gideon, so no I wouldn't cut him for 3 mana.
Very well commented, good and tricky decisions, I'm quite impressed. Feather is pretty much more complicated than it looks like. Question: without Reckless Rage, is it still playable?
It certainly is playable, but you lack a powerful, re-usable and pump-your-creature all-in-one removal. I think it's a pretty key card to have a fully competitive deck, and it being only uncommon, I think it's worth crafting a couple of them. We still have at least 3 months to go untill rotation.
I built crafted most of the cards for this deck after i hit mastery 25 and got all my tokens. mad props for this deck, its mad fun and im winning A LOT.
You're the first person I've seen use Prophet. Usually I see things like Tith Taker, Adanto or Warboss in that slot. How have you been liking them overall?
@@leviolin00 some people took my comment the wrong way I guess. The enemy was really behind and saw that cgb just took his time, so they chose to not further waste their time on an already lost game.
@@covertgoblue When you have the time recommend watching it ua-cam.com/video/iYBEwC3wn50/v-deo.html. He basically uses season of growth as a draw engine.
25:41 could you have shocked the trickster then attacked flashing back the shock with arcanist target your own creature and get shock back. Sorry i kept watching and you had that play in mind already.
The bonus to power/toughness doesn't do as much as the other cantrips in the deck. God's Willing is the hands down best protection spell in the deck and it scrys. Defiant Strike draws cards. For one mana. Reckless Rage is basically a repeatable lightning bolt. Sheltering light is an additional protection spell and it scrys. Shock is incredible because it removes early things and can be brought back with arcanist. Basically, there isn't room in the deck. You need the creatures for the combat tricks to target and all the other combat tricks are better than sprint.
I like this deck a lot, but MTGA is a funny beast and I've been getting nothing but tap lands in my opening hands for a week! Or else I don't see reckless rage for several days haha

I would love to hear your thoughts on how the decks you play will survive after rotation either during the deck techs or at the end of the videos.
I love waking up in the morning, eating breakfast while watching some cgb B-)

Feather Deck is going to be strong going into the rotation.
Agree. This deck will be revelant after rotation. Also I think Selesnya Tokens will come back from the dead.
Its a shame reckless rage will be going out what do you think will be a good replacement effect?
@@sammydavis6198 domri's ambush
@@sebastiangonzalez6037 Adding green to the deck? with all the check lands leaving the format? That doesn't feel good.
can't see it lasting tbh, God's willing is probably going to get banned.
36:33 Yugi still trusting in the heart of the cards 4Head
I really enjoy the break down and anticipation of your plays.
Gravitic punch is pretty fun to use in this deck when you have Feather + Legionnaire out.

Perfect time for gameplay, playing this at my Sunday tournament this weekend and I’m playing this deck so thank you!
Always like watching Feather though that Dino deck looks fun too
And was that a Disturbed reference at 21:15? :D
Thought exactly the same
Any idea how we replace reckless rage post-rotation?
same question!
Nothing does that job yet. It will have to be a new card or a spell that removes lots of things like prison realm.
Loving this deck. Thinking of taking out tajic and maybe a gideon for 2 risk factors. Face or draw with the jump-start seems pretty good especially since we can gain life with gideon, so no I wouldn't cut him for 3 mana.

Lol you’re doing better than me
Can you update this deck for Historic right now?

I like your deck It's completly after rotation build with not that many cards behind Ravnica.Great Video
What's the name of the song in the intro of the video? Great work cgb!
Damn , can’t wait to play this. Just need 2 more feathers and deck is complete:)
15:40 enemy scooped because it took you so long 😅
Gotta agree here. Biggest improvement to cgbs channel would be faster play. Some of the trivial decision making is unnecessaryily long
@@temph411 They are all supposed to be Somewhat training videos. So he elaborates the thought process so people can understand they WHY of it.
He only took like 18 seconds, how fast are we suppose to play ? ( new player here, so i just want to have an idea)

What's your oppion on Naya Feather a deck played by Merchant? is going into Boros more efficient?
When did Merchant play Naya Feather? Wut.
I didn't really fact check this lol. Mega Mogwai play Naya Feather
I haven’t watched it
@@covertgoblue When you have the time recommend watching it ua-cam.com/video/iYBEwC3wn50/v-deo.html. He basically uses season of growth as a draw engine.
The consistency of 2 colors is better than trying to play 3. Green has some neat tricks for Feather but the tricks Boros has is plenty efficient
I am a bit confused, why can you choose sometimes between Feather (take the spell back to your hand) and Arcanist (exile the spell) and sometimes not?
Ah, Because Shock doesnt aim at my own creatures. Nevermind xD
I really like this deck but mogwai built a naya version and I personally think that’s better. Could you make a video on that soon? Thanks!
Any thoughts on best additions for side board?
Found clarion very useful against elemental decks.
Could see that as a Sideboard standard
Just checked, and the only thi g rotating here is reckless rage, right? Is there anything more rotating for the bo3 version?
Checklands will go away too. It is so hard to keep the temp without them, may be very critical for such type of decks...
Sheltering light too, right?
anyone know does tomik stop scapshift/nissa from targetting their lands ?
it does not
Red gets an opportunity to durdle too!
You should build a deck with 4x cerulean drake since all you play is red mages
Yesterday's meta in diamond was like 50% Feather.
I need to rewatch this because I got caught up doing research the entire time this was on.... XD
I run the same deck except the angel Im running an ajani planeswalker
Why no one runs Vindicator?? Also Krenko could be sweet.
I attempt to throw Krenko is most red decks lol

05:14 As a Mono-Red Player, I don't get it.
Even a brain dead mono-red player can do this it's so easy. Thank you for reaffirming the bias.
@@themessy001 the irony is strong...lol
I was sad to see those dinos lose. Good game nonetheless
This explains why everybody was playing feather today.
Rex Tyrrano Ha, both CGB and Merchant have played Feather recently so not surprising. Especially since they were stomping fools.
why no samut sprint?

Lol im tweaking my feather deck as well cgb
i feel like a nerdd boi but i canni dig this game
Nothing nerdy about it, magic is an amazing game.
best deck imo
Counter this deck with sacrifice/discard :)
I waa 1 away from diamond 1 then went down but learning alot
needs carnage tyrant for that extra kick.
Can anyone suggest a deck to beat this lol, it seems that there are no solution if the player have a good/not bad hands
Wraths, lilianas triumph, ritual of soot, ghalta and other big things
You feather play that deck before everyone does 😀
No jk great video, keep it up
What a fun deck
So I love the last stream but was it just me or do you have a crush on nerd girl CGB
Just you
people playing naya feather with the supergreedy mana base, boros feather is better.
36:31 :o
I'm getting creamed playing feather lol
