Thanks for info. FYI antisieze is your friend for steel to aluminum, a dab will do ya. I would even put some on the crankshaft and fly wheel. Almost guarantees you will never have to take that apart again. I am fooling with a Kohler 25 HP that just will not die.
I'm trying to figure out how to connect the stator direct to the batter...it a Kohler stator which it has 3 wires ...one purple wire and 2 green wires on it ...one of the green has a clip connecter at the end of the wire ..how do I go about rewire it to the batter ...thank you
Nice video. Done that myself on a Briggs. Question on stator removal on CH980 twin. Got everything removed but when it came to lifting off stator, it will not budge. Seems to be stuck on the mating surface. I've removed a similar stator but had to completely destroy it to remove. Corrosion on the inner ring surface. Any suggestions? Have you had any similar experience?
Having the same issue going to replace the stator and a regulator if the magnets have not came out the flywheel is it safe to reuse it or get a new one
Best video on this ever made for sure thanks brother
Glad I could help, that was a long time ago so wasn’t that knowledgeable at the time lol. Well trained no though
Great video I fried a stator with a bolt I dropped this showed me how to replace it thanks

Did you have to glue the magnets to the flywheel?
Great video! Helped me fix mine!
Does it matter on the engine serial number or are all stators the same as long as it’s the same size engine ?
Can you reuse the magnets?
If they not broken
Excellent details. Thank you.
Very Helpful Thanks a Million for sharing!!
How do u remove the flywheel and also what do u use to spec the coil pacs with?
Space coils with filler gauge or use business card
