Hi! So your theory is right - I use a FFM and I sweat a LOT! Oddly enough I'm ALSO from Virginia and those borders are awful! Anyway, for redness and to absorb excess humidity/drool I recently purchased a reusable mask liner from PAD A CHEEK, and while I've only had it a few days, it has helped in both areas! Definitely worth checking out - they have hybrid FFM liners too!

I have rosacea and perioral dermatitis. These are the best thing for my nasal mask. My only downside is I wear small and they do not make them for the small so I end up having to work with it a little bit

I just started using these with F20 airfit, no more redness. I haven’t looked at my Oscar data but the machine has a frown for leaks.

I have a similar problem with the ResMed p30i because the hard edges of the prongs bore into my skin where they rest on my upper lip. I cut strips of micro terry material from running socks and tape one under my nose with the invaluable Cover Roll Stretch Tape. This provides just enough cushioning and breathability without causing any leakage.
I know exactly what you mean about the silicone against the skin problem. I couldn't use the n30i because of it. Silicone is too occlusive.

Off subject, but my ResMed came up with a notice that I need to change my motor. The business I bought if from is no longer in operation. What should I do?

I have contact dermatitis with/allergy to silicone. I use liners made of old t shirts with a f&p simplus full face mask. I double layer the liners to ensure there is no irritation. And change them every day. It's not pretty but it's effective

You can wrap it with something like "lambs wool". I've seen the same material in those seatbelt covers.

I got a new noncancer foam machine from ResMed Autoset 11... I also switched to the Resmed P30i.
The machine is near silent and I am able to better tollerate it without the EPR enabled.

Regarding pimples… are you washing you face before bed? Pimples are frequently caused by sweat and oils from the skin + friction from clothing. If you work out then don’t shower, the sweat plus friction from clothing can cause acne. Staying in sweaty clothes is a breading ground for bacteria. If your face is not washed, the dirt/sweat/oils that have gathered over the day plus friction from CPAP mask could cause acne. I’ve dealt with acne my whole life; I have not had a problem with the CPAP mask. If it continues to be a problem, apply over the counter Differin cream in the area under the mask to help prevent it. You can apply moisturizer over the Differin, if it’s too drying.

So, weird thought that might be worth investigating. I've read some people use powder to avoid sweaty skin and it led to me to think of the following...
Monistat anti-chafing gel. I know, keep an open mind though! This is a gel like substance that you lightly apply to the skin. The skin absorbs the gel and leaves a soft, powder-like finish.
I consider this possibly a better solution than actual powder and may actually eliminate the need for any kind of liner.
I have tried it on my face where the silicone tubing touches (dreamwear nasal cradle) and it one, does not seem to harm the silicone in anyway and two, makes those skin/silicone contact points more bearable and less sticky.
I fully realize that men may not be anxious to buy a product made by Monistat but this particular product has nothing to do with girl-specific places. It's just an anti-chafing gel sold to prevent sweaty skin on skin rubbing in the summer.
A little goes a long way. It's unscented too. I know. Such a weird idea but maybe worth trying @Freecpapadvice?

I have to say I am not a sweaty person but I have to wear a full face due to being an open mouth breather. So found that a little what?
I am struggling though with the right mask. I don’t feel there is much help when figuring it out with where I was sent to get my equipment. I went from f20 that killed my nose left my eyes so puffy to the one with memory foam which was so much better but felt like I was constantly fixing all night due to leaking. To the f30 which comfort better but again always fixing through the night so never getting full night sleep plus I am a flipper so would have been nice to have been directed maybe to the f30i even. It so hard to figure everything out with no help! I only started it in April and already a frustration!
Do you have any suggestions or is it a continuous battle? 😳

If you're able to breathe through your nose you can use a smaller nasal mask with tape over your mouth. That's what I do and it works very well. If you're truly a mouth breathing then your are relegated to using a FFM.
Fixing a FFM throughout the night makes me think that you have a jaw drop problem. You'd have to confirm this through OSCAR though.

I can't get a seal from the Resmed F 20 foam cushion it leaks at the bridge of my nose. I would like trying these cushions out since I find even with the F P Vitra mask eventually I have to tighten it down extremely tight the longer I use it. Could my seal on it be from using it 60 to 90 days making it a weaker seal?

If it's an AirTouch cushion then it could absolutely be that it needs replacing.

I'm new / struggling myself, after about 4 - 5 different types / brands of mask F20 foam = Best so far.
Try sliding Top head strap more to back of your head. Good Luck.
