Have you got an IBC Tank kicking adout to use as a buffer resever?. We had a similar problem with a slow water feed, and that was a fix for us.

I solved my low pressure water problem with a 15000 water tank set on stilts and fed by all the gutters so no cost for water. I also have two bore holes that have fantastic flow for first 30 mins then the water table lowers, to a good flow. The rains have come so don't need to water the fruit trees etc. so much and the water table is rising again. Plus the tank is overflowing, that goes to a soakaway, waste not wont not.
Domestic water goes from the bore hole pump through sand filters to a tank 4 stories up, this feeds a hotwater tank. That has a small pump that feeds the solar heater on the roof, there's also an emersion heater that's only used when we have a house full. OK the waters not steaming hot but we don't need it when the weather is in mid to high 30s.
I change clothes 3 or 4 times a day so it's the washing machine that needs the hot water and that's got a top up heater.
We could go solar powered but I don't fancy having all those batteries in the house, plus the power company's stopped buying excess power. Anyway renewing batteries every 5 years cancels out the 60 pounds a month we pay for power.
I do like looking at shiny things until I see the price, my brother would take his Mrs. shopping and go look at car showrooms rather than dress shops. He get lots of coffees and brochures.

Does your steam cleaner need mains fed water?
We run ours from an ibc with a 3/4 hose gravity feeding it…1000l lasts a fair time through our washer and a hose topping it up should give an hr or so of washing
Can your presure washer put detergent onto the mucky parts of the barn (even if it's fairy liquid, just spray it on and leave it to soak!) might help soften up the muck so you spend less time standing there trying to wash it off
your lucky to get 8 bar i swear the water company reduced it to 3 to make us use more
Why not treat the walls and gates with a detergent mix in a watering can and pour it against the wall. Then pressure wash.
farmer p i have the same problem on my farm if my cows are having a drink i get no water pressure in my farm horse or to my hose pipe its a pain

Are you sure its not an air lock in the washer Ian. I have very similar issues with mine when its not used for a while and its a real pain to clear it

My old man used to soak the stable with a garden irigation thingy before going about with the pressure washer, that way it came loose easier. But you use warm water or am i mistaken? 😊
