    Things you should know about not mentioned in the video:
    Know that transition metals require a number for instance CuSO4 would be copper 2 sulfate. Make sure you know what a pure compound is and a pure substance. Also make sure to know what dipoles are and if you have say 10g of C2H4 make sure you can figure out how many moles or grams you have of say carbon or hydrogen. Don't forget about sig figs and how to name acids. ate - ick, ite - ous. Make sure to remember how to identify aqueous solutions and solid solutions. There's videos to remember such as NAG SAG. There's also acronyms to remember strong acids and know that all strong bases have OH in their formula.

    For those wondering at 8, why he simply added 1 and 2 to them. It's because the concentration we are looking for is actually the concentration of H+ ions in the solution, but since there are two moles of H in the molecule we have to add that 2, on the other side since it's a base we have the OH- concentration, however since there is only on mole of OH, the coefficient in front of the m1v1 is well 1. Hope it makes sense, and that I am not mistaken hahaha.

So for example, the first 7-8 questions of my exam was basic skills questions, like how many protons does this atom have, naming compounds, etc. Then dimensional analysis, there was a thermochemistry portion, gas laws, Lewis structures, hybridizations, electron domain geometries. Those were the sections that stuck out to me the most. It wasn’t half as bad as I thought it was going to be.

    As an engineering student, ive always prefered the later 3 parts of STEM, and had a weak point in science. Being put in a Chem181 course really shook me up. Yet, with your videos such as this one, its been significantly easier to learn what I need to. Plus in HS with calc 1 and 2, you've been a lifesaver.

    I was curious about how this video effected students success on the ACS and I just received my score and the grade I achieved helped improve my overall grade which is something I don't like to depend on my finals for. Watch the video, leave a like and you should be good for your exam. Goodluck!

      s vandermeer I got a 65 on the exam and a 78 as my final grade. So a C. My professor was terrible but was switched mid semester. It was a hard game of catching up. But this did help me a ton.

      Mikal1209 Im going through almost exactly that right now. Im just hoping to get a B, and i totally would have one right now if my teacher was more dedicated to helping her students :/ At least it was a high C in the end!

    notes for me: (watched til 46:48)
    molarity is concentration of solution
    M = mol/liter
    m1v2 = m2v2 (for two solutions can be same or different liter)
    (P1V1)/T1 = (P2V2)/T2
    at STP, 1 mole gas = 22.4 L
    density of gas at STP: mass(g/mol)/22.4 L
    if not STP = PM/RT
    *R - gas constant; 0.08206 (L*atm)/(mol*K)
    oxidative state of O oxide (-2) and O peroxide (-1)
