The translator gadget is kind of cute but mostly unnecessary since most people will carry a phone with them and the Google Translate app can do the same things, and furthermore allows you to download offline dictionaries for whatever language you want and so you don't really need an internet connection for it to work.
"Like Poseidon I guess..."-Dude is so cringe and unintentionally hilarious. 😂
Haha thanks? . .
19:33I live in a village called Tende, in the Nice region, which only became part of France in 1947. Before that, it was Italy. Although there is still occasional animosity, the French and Italians generally get along quite well. For those who are interested, I have a collection of documents showing what happened in 1947 in this playlist:

Lol, who would buy a separate translator device in 2024 when everything is done in your phone with apps :)
This one looks exactly like Google translate integration
Johnny uses his phone to make his vlogs, it's useful for him to have a separate translation device - he can use it while filming, as he does in this video.
“jardines” is gardens.
My phone does the same but for free
That translator is quicker than ever. Pretty amazing to see how they updated so quickly. Definitely good for someone who travels constantly or just wants to be more diverse and know other languages.
Yes agreed! I was surprised how much faster this version was.
0:01 "buongiorno" is Italian...🤣
I think you meant to say Bon Jour at the beginning of the video
🤣 I instantly picked up on that
i always leave a like and subscribe to channels that i regularly watch and comment for the algorithm thanks for your work
Bonjourno is Italian -no if French.
Jardines means garden.
It Can not Cans.
Same as Nice is not Nice.
Haha. Lovely language.
Hey Johnny! I saw you this evening while walking with my girlfriend around 22:00, when you went to Pitzburg and then returned from it to your Porsche. I was with a white kitten on my shoulders :) I was glad to see you, but I didn’t want to intrude on your intense conversation with the girl you were walking with 😅 Incredibly pleasant meeting, I was very shocked to see you not far from my house.
Say hi next time. I don't mind the interruption. =)
@@JohnnyFD okay bro 🫡
The translator is a great conversation starter. Love the food, yum! Your cousin is very cool :)
I think so too!
perhaps with your fancy translation tool you can master the proper pronunciation of Côte d'Azur, jardins and poissons
Ce traducteur est formidable. Utilise-le pour lire ce message ! J'adore tes vidéos ! Je viens de Suisse, je crois que tu n'y es jamais allé.
🙌 Thank you so much for sharing this amazing exploration of Rainy Nice, France! 🇫🇷☔ Despite the occasional rain, your video truly captured the beauty of Nice and the joy of exploring it in any weather. The travel tips and insights into French culture and language were incredibly helpful! 🌍 The unboxing of the language translator was mind-blowing! 🤯 It's so cool to see the real-time translation and auto-correction features in action. And the discussion on French food, cultural perceptions, and the upcoming Paris summer Olympics was so interesting and engaging! Keep up the fantastic work! 👏
🤔Have you encountered any surprising or unexpected cultural experiences while exploring different cities? We'd love to hear more about your unique cultural encounters! 🤗✈
Looking forward to more amazing content from your channel! 🎥
"Buongiorno" from Nice, France? Have you moved the Italian border westwards, Johnny? But you did say "Bonjour" later to that lady. "Jardins" means "gardens" btw. It's funny that your translator translated "Poissons" as "Pisces" instead of "Fish"! Nice looks really nice, even in rainy weather!
Does the translator work offline? Because you need it most when there's no connection.
Yes it works offline, you just download the language packs first.
@@JohnnyFD That's a great product then
Johnny thanks for showing the translator
I love the South of France. Hope to retire in that area, it’s so beautiful. You should go to Eze, beautiful village.
Ps I meant jardin not jardiniere which I think means gardener.
Johnny needs a bowl of French Onion Soup, or Boulebaise with some Tea instead of Ice Cream on a rainy, chilly day 😏✨
Another great visit with you family and no day is wasted.
You got that right!
Lol Johnny didn't see chat gpt4o
Jardiniere means garden according to my school French. I enjoy all your videos Johnny..
ça marche très bien ..
Look up the French word for fennel in case you need to ask next time you're on a market.
Johnny is like the Clark Griwald bachelor version.
'Jardins' is not pronounced ' Jar - deens.' It is pronounced ' JAH - DUNS.' It means GARDENS. When you saw Parks, you should have realized that the sign is saying Parks and Gardens ( notice all the flowers!).
Do not pronounce the 'S' in 'JAH - DUNS.' Say ' JAH - DUN.'
Damn Johnny really is out here hurting peoples feelings because he mispronounced something 😂😂😂
15:24 Sounds like a Harry Potter spell
Haha it did!!
You guys are killing me. I watch France24 so have heard a variation 1000 times.
Profitez de la France Johnny 😊
Jardin means Garden

It is a dream to be rich and live in Nice
I think that's a lot of people's dream. =)
Johnny's got an apartment in Kharkiv. You better check the place out. Make sure it's ok. You better keep it. It may be worth something after the war being in the centre.
Hey that camera item very cool Does it have Polish and thai?
Yes it has both, and 107 other languages.

That little translator is kind of groovy. It seems to be a little more streamlined than using your phone.
Has to just be a simple app for that surely?!...
Buongiorno is Italian
Nice is very Italian. =)
Equality Bortherhood
Always that a rainy day in France was more romantic!
Civil & Respectful: brother I want to watch your vids. But it’s always up close & under armpit pov. 😂 Your beautiful full figured face takes up 1/3 of the frame. Back up a bit & practice raising the arm.
Start your own channel bro 😂
@@churchofbrap876 so how is that logical?
@@xeropunt5749 u seem like an expert at this. Wasting your time in the comments.
@@churchofbrap876 start a channel for every constructive critique? how does that make sense? a person may or may not graciously accept a request, that will improve everyone’s experience. why come & “save” him from that? that’s an overprotective & devouring-mother behavior. check yourself.
@@xeropunt5749 you're type commonly referred to as a troll 🧌
One of your funnier videos Johnny! I was LMAO and cringing throughout the video, So many faux pas!
Johnny: You're a beautiful human being, but it's obvious that you'll never get the French language. But bon voyage!
faux pas is my middle name! 😂
@@JohnnyFD LOL! If you ever get back to the SF Bay area we should meet up. I'm 76 and scrawny but will arm wrestle you for Dim Sum. So what if I lose?
You'll go bankrupt buying me Dim Sum. =)
What does fox pass mean? Is it an animal?
google translate following // Il n' y a aucun problème entre les français et les italiens ..je suis français et pour moi l'Italie est le plus beau pays au monde , un des plus accueillants et les italiennes les plus jolies filles en Europe ..// There is no problem between French and Italians..I am French and for me Italy is the most beautiful country in the world, one of the most welcoming and Italians are the prettiest girls in Europe ..
Jardin = Garden.
Jardin, Jardim is garden, in freedumb Emglish.
Too bad it’s cold and rainy because it’s a beach town.
i dont understand girls may switch it to male voice for def people hahaha
Is Thai in the App?.
Yes, it works with Thai and 107 other languages.

You probably agree Johnny that Nice is a much better place to live than Cannes. Cannes has been destroyed by all the hype of the film festival.
today is may 20th ... its more middle of may than end of may ...
... translator: 399 plus $98.83 Shipping & Import Fees Deposit to Germany
Loved this tour with your cousin. Now I'm starving! Lol
Haha then it worked!
ale Vien!
This video was as close as Johnny has come to Allez Opi Omi yet!
how come nice is cold in may, as we thought it is a meditarain beach town.
I believe this video was recorded at the end of April, and this is also unseasonably cold for this time of year. I was in Nice in March and it was warm and sunny the whole time.
Following up on one of your last points: My wife is completely Italian. Her father was born in Genoa and served in the Italian Navy during WWII. Yet she is genetically 20% French because the Savoy Duchy/dynasty conquered and ruled the Piedmont region of Italy for 300 years, including Nice. Still a lot of animosity there.
Oh lol I was in France too
Johnny always wanting to start a war😂😂😂 The Europeans are very passionate about their politics.
Great stuff getting out and about in the rain. You can always tell about the Poms, always out in t-shirts & shorts😉
Looking forward to the next adventure!⭐️
lol 15 dollars for a couple of spoonful's of onion soup. Profit on that must be ridiculous.
Agreed 100% but it was tasty. I can’t lie. 😅
I know its the " way the world" in a lot of richer countries now but it's still preposterous.
First
I was a bit nervous when going to the South of France because I had heard that French people are notoriously rude, but I actually found the people of the Riviera to be extremely friendly and warm. I haven't been to Paris, but I imagine this is more a thing there than down here.
No it's Parisians who are rude. The rest of the French totally awesome. They'll even ask if it is ok to smoke near you which NO ONE does.
Doesn't this guy know about Google translate?
Enough of the Nice jokes . . .
Awww you're adventure in Ukraine is over? Sunshine patriots some say.. Where is that resolve? Stand with Ukraine... in actual Ukraine.. nice pivot i suppose.. Taiwan.. literally lmao..
Hi, where in Ukraine are you currently? Standing in actual Ukraine?
