    Hi, loved this video. I'm a master dietitian who got EI/MCS doing medical research. None of the western wonder drugs work on me. I should have been born in 1850. So my hubby and I started taking herbalism classes. I'm doing my own tinctures now and trying to grow pink evening primrose for food and medicine. Can you do more videos on it? Blessings from Texas USA the friendly state ❤

    I just found a few on the side of the road . I use to have her in my garden but I moved from Wyo back to Washington so I got excited to see that she grows here too. I will get watching for the seed pods and gett'r back in my new garden. I like going out in the evening and watching the blooms pop open ,and she smells So nice 💛
    Important to note for anyone growing her , she's a biannual 😉

    Its really, "too bad & quite SAD.." that, the person who gave you a "thumbs down"..
    Does NOT- "comprehend" the FACT, that "THEY"- have some, VERY, very deep- "inner-work", to "go and DO"!
    ...thats "why?", I said- above "its too bad and quite sad" that THIS, "human"-
    WONT, EVER- "see" the "faults/flaws" of their, OWN "self"..
    ..they WILL, "be BACK!" to "Earth" to "repeat" their OWN, "lessons".. they OBVIOUSLY, ARE NOT- "learning", NOW!
    They'll "be BACK".. they'll "see".

    We are taking care of our neighbors animals this week...right behind her chicken coup I saw a yellow flower. Thought I'd scoot on over to this beauty and scan on picture this app. EVENING Primrose 😱 on the edge of their woods. I plan to ask if she minds I partake and make a tincture for us. I know she will say yes, but will ask for sure. Pumped! My 1st encounter with evening Primrose. Hubby said, "remember, April just made a video about her" lol. He is loving your channel as much as me. Learning so much. Keep em coming (videos) Thank you again👐💃♥️😘

    New subscriber here from your lilac tincture video. I really like how you end the videos - telling folks that they CAN do this - that they're smart enough to. So much of what holds us back is this built in hierarchy we are taught in American culture that tells us someone smarter than us is who does certain things when in reality we're all capable, especially now when information flows like a river. God bless you, I appreciate you!

    this plant appeared in my garden one year - showed up as a rosette and I had no clue what it was. As I usually do I let things grow to find out what it is. I got this tall plant with these gorgeous yellow flowers. Most amazing to watch at dusk when one opens! In the morning there is usually a whole sea of yellow and then they wither away, but new ones come by dusk, yeah! So when do I harvest flowers, in the morning? Or just cut up a whole stem, leaves, flowers, buds and all? I see a new tincture brewing :)

  • @fromscratchfromscratch5100
    @fromscratchfromscratch5100 2 роки тому

    2 Quick questions: will the oil from the seed pods cause a tincture to go bad? Should I just use the leaves, stems, and blooms for a tincture?
    What about curing for infused oil to make a salve for tense muscles? (Leaves, stems, and blooms only?)
    Also, when is the best time to harvest? Before, after, during blooming? Before she makes the seed pods?
    (That was way more than 2 questions, lol. Sorry about that… human to human haha!)
    These ladies are ALL over my property here in KY and I love it :) I’m glad my attempts to utilize her seed oil was futile now that you mention it being a pufa lol.
    I just love getting to know all of these plants around me and how to use them to support my health and that of my family and friends. I wouldn’t be where I am with all that without your videos and book! Much love from the bluegrass state! 💕

    • @sheisofthewoods
      @sheisofthewoods  2 роки тому +1

      The seeds won't make your tincture go bad, I typically use all above ground parts, she blooms slowly through the summer so I just do a mix of pods/blooms/stems/leaves. Yep you can cure her to make an oil for sore muscles 🙂

      I'd say you need to get to the deeper causation versus finding an herb to suppress what you're body is trying to tell you! Not that herbs can't be a supportive thing, but it sounds like your metabolism (is so much more than what makes a person thin/heavy) needs a fair amount of love 💕 you might enjoy falling down the rabbit hole of pro-metabolic eating.
