@@mazdaspeed- to date no, they are still as quiet as the day they were put on, now I have not really worn off any tread yet which is typically when tire ls start to get louder but as of yet they are very quiet. We actually are in GA with the travel trailer right now and the trip up I was thinking to myself how pleasant the trip was. This size will fit in the spare tire well yes as it is a factory size on the non XD trucks. I would eventually like to go to a 295/70R18 but I don’t know if that one will fit in the spare tire well.
@@mazdaspeed- yes sir they run a little bit skinny for the size compared to others. If I was able to do it over again I would have gone with the 295/70R18 KO3’s
@ they may? I have a 2” front level only. The 275/70R18 has room to spare and I am sure I would fit the 295’s as well. Not sure without the front level?
If you like traction, this is not the best tire. I put these on my wife's 2020 Pro4x and on pavement the rear does not grab. It was the same on my 2004 TITAN LE. Wet pavement is not good. Our driveway is 500 feet up the side of a mountain, in 4x4 these are OK. My 2010 Pro4x had NEXEN ROADIAN AT PRO RA8. These were GREAT!!! I often pulled 12,000 pounds up terrible driveways. They grabbed in all conditions.
So many great tires these days, been going around in circles on what yo get from my short list. K03 might get bought partially due to curiosity factor. I am in high heat and beach sand environment, how do you think the tire will go in high heat and also running at low pressures in sand?
@@404errorpagenotfound.6 I think it will do just fine, BFG’s are know for sand and lowering down pressures. I live in central Florida where it is quite hot in the summer with the sun being intense on the black top roads. I put these on months ago just before summer and they still look brand new after summer.
@@joshuabeanblossom8371 they are doing great. I do not drive the truck all that much as I have a take home vehicle from work. They were shaking a bit so I took it to Discount Tire to check for balance on them. They actually rotated one of the tire on a rim where it was not mounted correctly the first time at Mavis. That small shake is now gone and they ride smooth as glass.
@@bubbaschannel0310 thanks man! Im torn between these at the Wpeak AT4s. Neither have a long track record to go by. Prob taking the plunge on the KO3 this week.
I believe that 34’s would probably fit with minor rubbing? There is still space on mine when turning lock to lock. I think some of the rubbing would also depend on if you went wider or not also. In the future i may go with a 295/70R18 when it’s time to replace these. That would be 34” tall and an extra inch wider as well.
Hi, those are good looking tires. Having the same issue with my OEM tires. They are noisy especially as I come to a stop. I'm going to upgrade to the same tire as yours and also go the one size larger. Thanks for the review.
Nice tires I wanted to put the KO3’s on my 22 tundra but the size I wanted is not available yet I went with the Falken Wildpeak AT4’s so far so good . Definitely gonna try the KO3’s next time around
Yes sir, they had the size I wanted available, and I almost didn’t do it because of the online price, but through a phone call in to them the price went down roughly $200 on the set on that phone call.
Do you know the brand of those running boards? Need a new set love the ones I have they have like a rough finish almost like a rhino liner look but it’s not. I can’t remember where the hell I got them. Those look pretty similar. Thanks.
Great looking truck and those tires make a difference. Put a load on it and let us know how it feels, spongy or solid. I have a 16’ 2wd and changed from the stock grabbers to a Firestone AT with same E rating, and it killed my solid feeling stability when towing my RV. I went with FTS due to we run on our company 250’s and they wear great, but they are horrible for my XD.
It is hard to say for sure. We went camping this past weekend about 90 miles away. Felt the truck moving just a tiny bit but it was also windy. Hard to say if it was the wind or the tires but either way still was plenty stable, not even enough movement for me to have to move the wheel at all. Just enough movement to feel my seat move slightly back and forth without pushing or pulling the truck in any direction. Still plenty happy with them and actually saw better fuel mileage as well. Managed 8.9mpg on the way and 8.4 on the way home even though they are one size larger than stock.
Very quiet. Time will tell if they get louder or not but for right now they are very quiet which was a huge improvement over the factory Generals that were on it.
U should of used up the old tires more, no? I went with KO2 just proven & old skool lol. I'm sure the KO3's are real nice & they look good. I'ma put mine on after the summer 🌞 in PHX the ground is 160-175° don't wanna melt the new rubbers lol. God bless 🙏💯👍👍
@@honda116969 I hear that. I didn’t use them down more first because I just sold them on Facebook Marketplace. Just didn’t want to run them anymore, or wait foe the new tires.
Are the K03s noisy after a while? Does the larger tire size fit in the spare tire well underneath?
