  • Albania is fast becoming a travel holiday hotspot, emerging as a new destination for both cultural and seaside vacations - it's also still relatively cheap, which is an added bonus. I recently flew from London Luton airport to Tirana, the capital of Albania on the Hungarian low-cost budget airline called WIZZ AIR. The plane was an airbus A321 Neo and this trip report video gives a review of what the journey and plane was like. I look at the seats, space, leg room, crew and beverages.
WIZZ AIR is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and they have 212 aircraft and fly to 190 destinations and more across Europe.
The flight was smooth, on time and ticked every box on budget and convenience. I was going to Albania to explore its stunning Albania Riviera coastline which is along the Ionian Sea and shares the same coastline as Greece and the Greek island of Corfu. It's considered the 'Maldives of Europe' for its incredible clear turquoise sea and some of those images feature in this video as well as in a couple of other videos I've made on Albania, which is fast emerging as the must go-to undiscovered destination. Be sure to have a look at those once they've been posted!

No, one of the beaches was the remote Krorez beach which a boat excursion took me to from Saranda. The other is Dhermi beach. I'm actually posting a video on Albania's best seaside resorts later today, so stay tuned!!!
