What I would consider to be a 69 IQ song on concertina; nothing fancy going on with the left hand, almost pure power chords from beginning to end. Fantastic.
Sheet music is available here: musescore.com/...
This is actually really accurate and sounds amazing
I picked up a concertina after seeing your videos, slowly but surely making progress! Every new song you post inspires me to work harder!!! This was so good mate, keep it up. I look forward to your songs every week!
Best rendition I’ve heard on an Anglo concertina yet. Awesome playing!!!
I was in a unique location that actually has an accordion store and I was strongly debating if I was going to buy an anglo concertina. Once i heard your arrangement of this song I marched into the store and got myself a used Rochelle.
Sounds great, the chords are just fun to smash out
I’m so in love with the arrangement already. I can’t wait to learn it by hard! This is soo good 💪🏼 I’m already able to play the first part of lifelight because of your good arrangement 😍
This is fantastic! Everything I'd hoped it's be and more. Keep up the great work! Can't wait for Kiss From a Rose haha
Keep up the good work man, I’ve been excited for this piece! Your playing inspired me to play concertina and I bought one of my own! I’ve used your sheet music for songs like Maiden Voyage and Welcome Horizons, and I plan to keep playing this instrument frequently, even as a snare line and drum set player!
I forgot to mention it, but I was also able to land a concertina feature for “Cantina Band” from Star Wars in a school concert!
You are so good This makes me want to find a pirate and chase him!
Oh no! It appears that your room has been flooded with water for a moment! I hope your concertina is ok. Anyway, very cool 👍😎
You are so good.
helo im trying to play your sheet music and i dont know how you play parts like 3 5 9 how
Hey dude, there's an image on this concertina dot net page that explains how the numbers match up to the buttons: www.concertina.net/forums/index.php?/topic/22942-anglo-tablature-and-the-english-concertina/
Numbers below the stave are referring to buttons on the left hand, and the numbers above the stave refer to buttons on the right hand. A horizontal line above the stave refers to pulling with the bellows, while no line means you push.
Hope this helps. I'd recommend buying one of Gary Coover's music books, like "Pirate Songs for Concertina". It'll explain how to read the tablature better, and they're full of great arrangements of songs.

i have gotten the 30 button wren anglo concertina a week ago and i bought the 123 anglo concertina book by Gary Coover that you sugested i alsi had some lessons that said dont "cross finger" i am somehow doing that and its bad. Thats what i meant by 359 sorry for the long comment😅
@@AngloKazooie anyway i might just be a head of myself
@@robinrobinson-dw3mg Looking at the sheet music again, I think you're referring to bar 6. Had a quick play-through to see where my fingers naturally land. I play it with my ring finger on the 3 (the D), then playing the 5 (A) with my index finger, then my middle finger for the 9 (C). I don't experience any cross of my fingers. Are these the fingers you're also using? Hope that helps
I will try using different fingers. Thanks for your help. Keep up the good work. And have a good day.
Arrr... You're hired, landlubber!
Great now i want one too 😅
How do you know which note to play out of the three or four that the concertina has? I guess because of how sharp it is but how do you know? By the way, it turned out great.
I don't think I quite understand the question, but I'll try to answer best I can. For most songs I transpose I'll either find a decent leadsheet, or find the chords via a Google search. From there it's determining what notes to play (or can play) from the chord, which often depends on the melody (is the note only available on the in or out on the bellows?), or whether the song already has too much push/pull and it needs a change of direction.
@@AngloKazooie Thank you. I'm starting to play the 20-button concertina, that's why I was asking.
@@AngloKazooiedo you have sheet music or something or a document with the notes you played?
All my videos should have sheet music linked in the description
Dude! This is so sweet, well done 🤘🏻
What is the make and model of concertina please?
Thank you, appreciate it!
It's a Marcus Music standard Anglo 30-button.
@@AngloKazooie thank you! Any chance of an Alestorm cover? Maybe Nancy the Tavern Wench🤔 anything piratey is much loved!
@@SNAAAAAAAKE I did attempt the chorus of Keelhauled and Mexico waaaay back, but didn't find myself getting enough 'oomph' to really make it sound like the originals. Who knows, may come back to them some time :)
@@AngloKazooie ah well nice one for attempting and good song choices 😎look forward to it if you do. Keep up the great work 💪🏻
Love your stuff! How did you get started?
Cheers, dude! I played Accordion for two years between 2008 and 2010. Got bored during lockdown, and the portability of a Concertina always appealed to me over the size/bulk of an accordion. Then I was annoyed at the lack of VG/pop culture music for the concertina, so just decided to try arrange some myself. Then my Bosun Bill arrangement really took off, and every video has been downhill since then XD
@@AngloKazooie Well, I have no idea on the woes of the algorithm, but what I can say is this: You do awesome work, and are a joy to listen to. It has inspired me to get a Concertina myself! You ever think about doing lessons??
